In 1992, I went and stood in silence by the tree that Jaco died leaning against. The bouncer who killed him should have been dealt some street justice. RIP Jaco. What an amazing talent. Thanks for the video, Steve. p.s. Tony Williams' untimely death was so typical of our evil medical system that just doesn't give a sh+t and is designed to cull middle class and poor people over age 50. I wonder if Tony had enough redhead genes to affect how the anesthesia affected his body? He had freckles. Redheads take more of it, but are far more sensitive to it.
@@Yancey16 That was along time ago. I seem to recall it was sort of near the Dakota. But I'm not sure. I don't have a map in front of me. A friend took me there at the time. I'm not even sure the same tree is still there. I visited not all that long after JP died.
Brilliant story indeed.
Jaco - Gone but NEVER forgotten.
As a musician....I find this conversation to be like eating ice cream! A fantastic treat!
an amazing moment and so wonderful to hear it told.

Why?
Where is the tree located

IIRC in the jaco documentary it was stated that he was in the hospital in critical condition, then later died....
He died at Broward General Hospital.
Steve should write a book on his life
