I don't understand why he feels kind of obliged to photograph other people and expose them. He does have sociopathic tendencies. Does he know that it's possible to take pictures of objects as well?
I remember the one time years ago when I was on a primary school excursion and I had a Kodak disposable camera with me. I had no idea how to use it but I composed some scenes in the viewfinder and took some photos. I don’t think I advanced the film at all but walking back to the bus at the end of the day to go back to school, I passed a bin. And I thought in my mind that this is a disposable camera which means you’re meant to throw it away. So I did. It’s funny how the photos I took ended up undeveloped in the bin but I still remember using the camera and taking those photos all those years ago.
My fave was charlie, cus like he said the pictures brought smile to his face, and it did the same for me. It was moments that makes disposables worth taking to trips, you send it off to get developed and you get given a bunch of pics that u took on a whim of a moment, moments that u might have forgotten, the small parts, immortalised.
the hp5 was great. the light leak wasn't intrusive and added character to the images. I recently shot a vacation on a kodak disposable and im headed out to see the results soon so this video was convenient lel
He's just dumb. "You can't get a usable photo out of Agfa film", like wtf. Agfaphoto film was made by Fuji for at least the last five years. The Vista films are actually C200 and Superia X-tra 400, Precisa CT is Provia 100. These are great films. Who can't get a usable result out of them shouldn't get their hands on a camera in the first place.
I "personaly" don't like the color of valvia ANYiso and think that it have a cheap looking... look. Just is cheap to me and I don't use it. BUT I KNOW that there are people who love valvia ANYiso for this beautiful kolors! AND breath in, AND breath out. Judge anyone as a pretentious snob just because of his opinion about art related thing that is totally subjective and mostly if not in all represent individual taste of this person is... epic.
@@robert.aleksander he wasn't judged for his oppinion, he was judged by the way he was acting, he could hate the film and still have shot it, and given his oppinion on why he did or did not enjoy it, but he didn't, he just acted like a pretentious snob
I loved this style of video, with different points of view and everyone’s photos they made. Such a good idea having everyone shoot a different camera. QUALITY CONTENT MAN👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I really dig the images from that Lomo disposable. The pre-attached gels are a pretty rad idea. I was in the same boat not having shot a disposable since the 90's! Also pretty amazed at how many choices of disposables there are. I'm actually working on a vid with that HP5 disposable right now. Looking forward to finising it up, so I can develop the roll and see how it turns out. 😁
working at a photolab i've seen amazing results from disposable cameras (a lot less from any poundshop or flashless model). the agfa's protruding flash will help combat red-eye, that's probably why it's designed that way. agfa stock was good enough for Martin Parr so Luke should have shot all of it. what a waste (even though agfa photo isn't the same as it used to be it's still a waste). megalolz about the metering. i'd go kodak with a flash all day everyday. it has 800 ISO in there so a lot more hits.
Loved this video ! You should do more videos like this. Working with different photographers on the same theme and then having a discussion about it is very interesting. I loved it !
I love the idea cause you can also see how your friends use the cameras (not comparing them to each other) but also what their thoughts are on what to take photos of. I really like the black & white photos, they came out super nice and how landscapes look better with it then portrait. Its also indeed the lighting for some of the disposables can set on. It's still nice to experiment the settings as well.
So nice to hear all the different opinions and to see their approaches how they worked with their cameras. The video did not feel long at all since there was plenty of diversity.
Aslan! Bahahahaha. Bit of a change from your usual videos but I really liked the idea. Might buy some disposables next time we BBQ at the beach. Now I must get on, I have to file a patent for a disposable camera with a meter, variable speeds, apertures and fat finger detection function.
going on holiday tmrw and was wondering about disposable cameras. after this great vid defo gonna have to pick one up tmrw at the airport and see what happens
One of my favorite videos you've done so far! So much unique character in each photographer and their photographs... I particularly liked Charlie's work; spontaneous shots that made me smile when I saw them.
I love this channel man I just bought a Minolta Hi Matic 7Sii and got into some film shooting and I cannot stop bing watching your videos 🙌🏽 so informative thank you so much for the content 😄
Hi George, I always wonder, I know these cameras are called 'disposable', but can they really be used once and that's it? Does it not work if we refill the film roll? Thanks for reading :)
I have the lomo disposable and boy the contrast with the sunset is really good! I usually used the gel flash at night time/dark place so I can get the most vibrant but definitely will try to shoot it at sunset time. Also the ilford bw one looks fun. Thanks for the video!
Great video, really enjoyed different photographers talking about medium-crappy-quality cameras. Disposables I guess are also a very good way to let non-photographers friends which you are traveling with, to take some funny moments snapshots, definitely going to do that on my next trip!
awesome video idea! i love shooting with a c35 for much of the same reason you would use a disposable. super lightweight, easy to give to someone to shoot you with, results are always fun
Love this video. What a great idea. Might be fun to try out on a birthday in Vegas. Well done my friend! I personally would like to shoot with that black and white camera. Id like to mess around with that one☺📸
Damn this is such a small world, I literally just discovered your channel (thaanks Jamie Windsor) and it's soo funny to see that you're friends with Aslan, I used to watch Estee's videos ! I knew Aslan was a photographer so I followed him on Instagram a long time ago and now I remember seeing his photos from this trip haha, so weird !
Love this video concept so much! I've shot a lot of disposable cameras over the last few years and love the ease of use - it's the only time I tend to use flash in photos which is fun. I love that anyone can shoot disposable film :)
Please upload more often the content is so good. Like this is awesome but u don’t even have to do anything crazy I love watching the videos of u just going out and shooting too. It’s all good I just want more 😭
I really loved the idea of all of the different perspectives on the cameras. Always watching your videos and feeling inspired even if with disposables ! Still would love to see a video of you going around with a Canon AE-1 someday. I just feel like it's a very accessible film camera a lot of people begin with.
I actually found that very interesting :) I liked that some of your friends didn't get the cameras they wanted, made it a bit more of an experiment. Also I'm going on a holiday next week and after watching this video I think I will buy some disposable cameras and take it with me. I love the nostalgia that comes with those photos and the surprise after you develop them is priceless.
really liked this more in-depth vid. id actually really would like more stuff like this where you discuss photos that have been taken. as much as i think gear is cool, i think photography itself is way more interesting
the photographer who handed the camera over to people to instead photograph him is a fav! love that idea; very visual anthropology-like.
i loved his "I should be a professional tourist" very nice very nice
I love how so many people shot him just to the left of center 😂
I don't understand why he feels kind of obliged to photograph other people and expose them. He does have sociopathic tendencies. Does he know that it's possible to take pictures of objects as well?

Ryan Turner that makes me kinda sad haha
Ryan Turner that is some crazy child logic that happened there. Whew.
Dang i feel terrible
Ryan Turner Omg same!!!! I had it back in grade school, such a waste :(
It really wasn't a very memorable outing but yes it exactly was child logic to throw the camera away haha
The telephone booth picture at 6:19 is amazing. Those reflections are really cool.
George, the Lomo disposable is not a disposable at all. It's a "reusable". You can reload the camera with any standard 35mm film.
THIS!!! A BIG THIS!!!! some other kooky models out there can be used again.
hey george today I shot a whole roll and realised i had no film in my camera. film photography is hard. nice video btw

Completely agree
Ah it's soo cool to hear all the feedback from all the different photographers. Really good idea George!
Wow super nice to see the different results! Personally I prefered the black and white images the most

How’d they turn out?
That last dude was being such a pretentious snob, like he didn’t try.
yh man, have to agree. think for the sake of the video it probably would have been best just to go with the flow and shoot the whole roll

I love the idea of your friend turning the tables and letting others take his photos! Brilliant idea!!!!!
Dog Aslan's review was so serious talking about the rendering of the colors and the metering of the disposable looooloooo love it
Some of the photos Cian took with the waterproof camera are pretty dope!
Liam must be fun at parties...
Some of Jack's stranger photos had excellent composition! That's awesome :)
I LOVE THE BLACK AND WHITE!!

nice shots, interesting new format for sure
of course the guy that has a Hasselblad Flextight on his desk doesn't like Agfa film stock
Love seeing Jack involved! One of my favorite contemporary photographers.

These photos are so beautiful. I love how most of them are candid. Those are my favorite because you get to capture a real moment.
The lomography photos with the red gel looked so awesome with the blue sky in the background

Love the fact that you asked your friends to try different disposables ahah, wish my friends could be this fun when it comes to photography
Great info! The Illford HP5 photos where my fav. They inspired me to shoot b+w. Gonna pick 1 up. Thanks so much. Much love.
I’d pay for friends like this

those shots with the ilford though - lovely! to me, those light leaks on the sides give the images character
Disposable cameras are so good to unwind with

I was just looking at a bunch of disposables last night. The timing is uncanny. I love this format actually.
watching this, as if im not gonna go to my local camera shop and buy the only kodak disposable camera, ive always been buying... lol
Never though I’d see someone given a free disposable camera and do nothing but complain about it. 🥲
We need a NegativeFeedback / Kai W collab. I mentioned it on his channel and he said he would love to.
OMG! Yes. It will be awkward, funny as heck and informative, all at the same time.
this. this right here
@Kevin Centeio He used to though. Back in the olden DigiRev days.
Kevin Centeio Have you never seen the professional photog, cheap camera series????? This video instantly reminded me of it!
