This is a great example of why your channel is among my favorites in this genre. I’d just seen a first look at this same game on another channel, which only mentions the high solitaire rating and the solitaire card, leaving me with the mistaken impression that there’s an actual solitaire mode. I would have been exceedingly disappointed if I’d bought this and learned otherwise - thankfully you set the record straight on that. Maybe at some point I’ll decide I want this game anyway, as the components do look great, but right now I already have more than enough games I need to play two-handed, and am only looking for true solitaire games.

Oh, I'm glad it was helpful, thanks! The game will still be here if you decide to get it later! :)

I couldn’t agree more. That was my biggest takeaway from this video.

Looks good as I would expect from Nakamura. A perfect scale when you don’t want the very detailed treatment.

Very smooth and steady play, find "tableable" games. :)

Really enjoyed TOW and Hubris looks every bit as good. Like everything about these games and Vuca a company going places. Many thanks for the overview.

My pleasure, I'm very curious to see how the choice of offensive options works out for the Germans. It looks like a clever way to give the game a lot of operational diversity.

I am still tempted by this, but I didn't entirely love the situation in the previous one. I think the playtime and only one scenario will keep me away from this.
    Their 1812 game though...

I suppose if you can give a 9/10 solitaire rating for a game without solo rules then you can have fictional cities like Kharkiv on the map.

I should clarify. Fictional at the time the game is set. The city was named Kharkov during WW2

They kept every single OOB error that the original had. Amazing that no one involved found the 47th Guards Mechanized Corps suspicious. The Soviets only had nine of those in the entire war and they were numbered 1-9.

If they can't even get the spelling of the cities correct, using the current Ukrainian nationalist 'Kharkiv' instead of the historically correct Kharhov then it brings into question the whole game. I'll give this one a big miss.
