Be very careful unplugging the battery and then just reconnecting it after a few seconds as it can damage the BSI unit . You’re meant to wait like 5 minutes or so.
Thanks for this. Had same problem with my 206cc. Removed battery terminal, waited for 5mins then re attached. Has reset system and appears to work ok now.
I used to own vauxhalls all the time and to do this you turn the ignition on to 2 and press the lock button and syncs to car! I just bought a 206 gti I'm gonna see if it works

I faced the same problem, how did you find the solution, why is it?
There is a relay on the fuse box inside the cabin that causes this problem. I don't know any more details as I did sell the car shortly after.

Does every peugeot 206 have central locking ?
I'm sorry but I don't know the answer to this. I guess it depends on what country it was sold
They all came as standard with it but for more advanced central locking in a 206 you had to pay a bit more.
