This was good. Love Jesus so love this musical production of PProgress. I had teary eyes cpl times. 💙 Like musicals and theater. Listened to Jesus Christ Superstar in '71 saw movie in '73 and The Wiz on Broadway. PBS and movies of Shakespeare. Esp liked Pilgrim's singing voice. The keys to the kingdom have been given to us. 💙🕊💙

2020 has been a hard year for me. of late I have been overwhelmed by life's situation and the devil has been attacking my mind telling me that I am not worthy. He has revealed that, nothing good I have done can earn me his love and grace and nothing bad I have done can make him love me less. I keep trusting in God through it all. I believe he directed me to watch this movie which I so have enjoyed. I bypassed it yesterday on youtube. Today as I was reading a Christian book - God's medicine bottle. the author Derek happens to mention it and at that point, I asked God verbally, " are you talking to me, God? should I watch it or I should finish this first?" well, in my thoughts I decided to finish the book first since it's not long but it seems that wasn't his will. He dropped something in my spirit that I thought wise to write. Immediately I finished writing, I started looking for this movie and here I am. Encouraged and full of strength to keep going. Came across this movie today and found it is the best version of "The Pilgrim's Progress" that I have ever seen. Beautifully done! Thank you so much. I also, cried as they found out the truth and entered into eternal life as a family. I pray more families would come to know the truth of who Jesus is and be reconciled.

I cried like a baby the first time I watched this in. 2019. Watching again in 2022. I love this movie. It’s so well Scripted and acted and sung. I read this story written by john bunyon which was translated in sumi language,,, i,e sumi tribe,under zunheboto district of nagaland state of INDIA..i was a kid around eleven or twelve,,now i am 28 years old. How I needed to watch this. God sends us what we need and I needed to be reminded to have faith, persevere and always remember, God is greater than the pain of this earth.
I read the book a number of years ago and it really encouraged me as a Christian. Now that I’m in my 60s I can look back and see how God has mercifully guided me and helped to stay on that straight and narrow road. It’s wonderful that you’re sharing the musical version here on RUclips. Yes, only Jesus saves. This is my favorite non-Bible movie! I think that the songs are really quite groovy. There's something about it that has sure changed my mind. For now I can't sing, talk, or write, unless it's in rhyme. Praise the Lord, for He knows what is right; for this movie is good, morning, noon, or night. I've watched it now here for the second time. For an amateur production, this is incredible. Who the heck wrote these great songs? And the cinematography and costumes are interesting too. Alleluia - Amen !. My late father gave the book to me when my 7th years' birthday and it is to young even to small for understanding what the book said. Therefore, I had read the book over 20 times and I never understood the contents of the book until I was 30 years old. Each time I told my father that I did not understand it, Pa.., and he said to me, one day you will. I also asked him to explain about the story, and he said, "for this book, you need to understand by your own", and therefore, I re-read for over 20 times, and by that time went by, I was growing and growing, with my own life experiences, and until about my age at 37 years old, I was discussing about the book again with my father, and he said it is still continued, until we are called one day by the CREATOR. Today, I do really so glad watched over this film, and my eyes are tearing up, to remember how my father loved me, to teach me through this book about life. See you one day Papa, in Heaven, being together with our King of kings, JESUS Christ the GOD Lord. Yes we all, mom and my brothers, sisters and also all believers will be meeting face to face there again in HIS Eternal Kingdom and above all to meet our 'BrideGroom', as long as we are faithful in HIM until the end. My age is now going on 63 years old in 2 weeks more. Amen!

I told our son that I was reading "Pilgrims Progress" so he told me about your movie. This evening my hubby and I watched this movie and we both thought it was outstanding. The book can be difficult at times to follow so this film helps. They took some liberties but had to in interest of time. But message was the same and more understandable. In the book there's a 2nd part that deals with Christian's wife sons and daughter. They have their own journey.

Words can't express how much I love this movie. I was actually looking for another version, but I'm glad I found this one. I've watched it multiple times over the past few days and ordered DVDs for Christmas. I generally like Christian movies, but have to admit that most aren't really good movies, as far as writing, acting, and cinematography are concerned. This, on the other hand, is a masterpiece, and it's clear everyone involved knew what they were doing. The opening shots in particular are incredible, the framing with the narrator is great, I definitely want the soundtrack when it comes out, the costumes are perfect, the effects aren't too over the top, the changes to the original story were nice, it's funny and encouraging and inspiring and overall a great movie, and I highly doubt any of the armchair critics in the comment section could make something half so good with twice the budget. This is intriguing and thriling. I watched this wuth intense concentration and towards the end my eyes welled up with tears of joy. My hope in following christ became strengthened. Good job everyone! Great message of the love of Christ. Salvation cannot come by following the rules without Christ’s forgiveness and sacrifice. Very true. Why were Pilgrim and Christian instructed to stay on the path? To endure to the end? To repent, to be “faithful” , to be ready for the deciever’s attacks, to share the truth with loved ones and others? These are all actions and part of the rules. Therefore We also cannot be saved without our efforts to follow Christ’s teachings. Though we do so imperfectly, His sacrifice is enough to make us whole. As we become true Christians we repent humbly and rely on Christ as we promise to obey Him. Wonderful movie. Thank you
Thank you for putting this together. Being separated from my wife for 9 years and only having visitation with my children, I feel similar to Pilgrim. I have had to stay close to Jesus to survive. I'm not as close to Him as I need to be. But the end of your video gives me hope to keep following Christ-- knowing that God can also honor that a whole family will be saved in the end. He did this many times in the New Testament. Meanwhile, I'm thankful for all those who have prayed for me to be faithful, when everyone else tells me to move on.

Sharon Mooney what a beautiful comment. I used to be a Jehovah’s Witness, born into the cult, never really had a relationship at all with Jesus. I left the JWs, but something was nagging at me. About a year later I picked up a KJV Bible. It spoke to me in a way I’ve never ever heard before. I was 32 when I left, I’m 35 now and in those 3y I’ve learnt more than in previous 32y. Jesus found me, he changed me, I stopped smoking, drinking, swearing etc and actually wanted to do Bible Reading, lots of books from John MacArthur, R.C Sproul, Piper, Spurgeon, Edwards etc. I love God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Only now does the Bible make sense. I just need to keep on at the rest of my family. I could shout it from the rooftops. The JWs though really are not a Christian org or religion. I had never seen this, never read other Bibles, many classic works. It is control over information, if it’s the truth as they say, it should stand up against scrutiny. I’ve done a few poems on leaving, why I did and the change in me as I started attending church. As you said Glory toGod and Jesus Christ

This movie is amazing, I love it. I've rewatched it 3-4 times, i love it!! Especially how pilgrim fights off them with Bible verses. I admire his faith, and hope to reach that point.
That was one beautiful movie.... I cried and laughed at the same time. The ending brought out the tears, normally I wouldn't cry but after searching for Christ myself and going through certain trails I felt happy knowing that at the end lies Someone Great, Powerful and Loving. This was excellent! I felt I had some days in the "dungeon" and this reminded me of the promises of God. Everything from the songs and truth Bunyan communicated was a refreshment to my soul.

I believe he directed me to watch this movie which I so have enjoyed. I bypassed it yesterday on youtube. Today as I was reading a Christian book - God's medicine bottle. the author Derek happens to mention it and at that point, I asked God verbally, " are you talking to me, God? should I watch it or I should finish this first?" well, in my thoughts I decided to finish the book first since it's not long but it seems that wasn't his will. He dropped something in my spirit that I thought wise to write. Immediately I finished writing, I started looking for this movie and here I am. Encouraged and full of strength to keep going. This movie did minister to me. Especially on trials - that these are from God, to strengthen us in the journey of faith. Thank you @Rogue Valley Fellowship for sharing this movie. God bless you.

I read the book a number of years ago and it really encouraged me as a Christian. Now that I’m in my 60s I can look back and see how God has mercifully guided me and helped to stay on that straight and narrow road. It’s wonderful that you’re sharing the musical version here on RUclips. Yes, only Jesus saves. For an amateur production, this is incredible. Who the heck wrote these great songs? And the cinematography and costumes are interesting too. Makes you wonder why Hollyhood (and even Hallmark) can't turn out anything better than they do. Certainly they have a bigger budget. Well done! Alleluia - Amen !. My late father gave the book to me when my 7th years' birthday and it is to young even to small for understanding what the book said. Therefore, I had read the book over 20 times and I never understood the contents of the book until I was 30 years old. Each time I told my father that I did not understand it, Pa.., and he said to me, one day you will. I also asked him to explain about the story, and he said, "for this book, you need to understand by your own", and therefore, I re-read for over 20 times, and by that time went by, I was growing and growing, with my own life experiences, and until about my age at 37 years old, I was discussing about the book again with my father, and he said it is still continued, until we are called one day by the CREATOR. Today, I do really so glad watched over this film, and my eyes are tearing up, to remember how my father loved me, to teach me through this book about life. See you one day Papa, in Heaven, being together with our King of kings, JESUS Christ the GOD Lord. Yes we all, mom and my brothers, sisters and also all believers will be meeting face to face there again in HIS Eternal Kingdom and above all to meet our 'BrideGroom', as long as we are faithful in HIM until the end. My age is now going on 63 years old in 2 weeks more. Amen!

I haven't even watched the movie yet, I have read, a young kid's version with my son, and now will teach the Answers in Genesis Pilgrim's Progress for homeschool co op, and I find your testimony about your father absolutely wonderful!! It's awesome how u read the book over 20 times. My mom told me that after the bible, Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, is the most read book by Christians, and how that book so impacted her, in her life, I knew I needed to have my kid read it and myself. I told our son that I was reading "Pilgrims Progress" so he told me about your movie. This evening my hubby and I watched this movie and we both thought it was outstanding. There is hardly a word to describe how incredible everything is portrayed in the movie. May God get all the Glory from your huge effort !!
The book can be difficult at times to follow so this film helps. They took some liberties but had to in interest of time. But message was the same and more understandable. In the book there's a 2nd part that deals with Christian's wife sons and daughter. They have their own journey.

Words can't express how much I love this movie. I was actually looking for another version, but I'm glad I found this one. I've watched it multiple times over the past few days and ordered DVDs for Christmas. I generally like Christian movies, but have to admit that most aren't really good movies, as far as writing, acting, and cinematography are concerned. This, on the other hand, is a masterpiece, and it's clear everyone involved knew what they were doing. The opening shots in particular are incredible, the framing with the narrator is great, I definitely want the soundtrack when it comes out, the costumes are perfect, the effects aren't too over the top, the changes to the original story were nice, it's funny and encouraging and inspiring and overall a great movie, and I highly doubt any of the armchair critics in the comment section could make something half so good with twice the budget. Good job everyone! Great message of the love of Christ. Salvation cannot come by following the rules without Christ’s forgiveness and sacrifice. Very true. Why were Pilgrim and Christian instructed to stay on the path? To endure to the end? To repent, to be “faithful” , to be ready for the deciever’s attacks, to share the truth with loved ones and others? These are all actions and part of the rules. Therefore We also cannot be saved without our efforts to follow Christ’s teachings. Though we do so imperfectly, His sacrifice is enough to make us whole. As we become true Christians we repent humbly and rely on Christ as we promise to obey Him. Wonderful movie. Thank you
Thank you for putting this together. Being separated from my wife for 9 years and only having visitation with my children, I feel similar to Pilgrim. I have had to stay close to Jesus to survive. I'm not as close to Him as I need to be. But the end of your video gives me hope to keep following Christ-- knowing that God can also honor that a whole family will be saved in the end. He did this many times in the New Testament.
Meanwhile, I'm thankful for all those who have prayed for me to be faithful, when everyone else tells me to move on.

Sharon Mooney what a beautiful comment. I used to be a Jehovah’s Witness, born into the cult, never really had a relationship at all with Jesus. I left the JWs, but something was nagging at me. About a year later I picked up a KJV Bible. It spoke to me in a way I’ve never ever heard before. I was 32 when I left, I’m 35 now and in those 3y I’ve learnt more than in previous 32y. Jesus found me, he changed me, I stopped smoking, drinking, swearing etc and actually wanted to do Bible Reading, lots of books from John MacArthur, R.C Sproul, Piper, Spurgeon, Edwards etc. I love God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Only now does the Bible make sense. I just need to keep on at the rest of my family. I could shout it from the rooftops. The JWs though really are not a Christian org or religion. I had never seen this, never read other Bibles, many classic works. It is control over information, if it’s the truth as they say, it should stand up against scrutiny. I’ve done a few poems on leaving, why I did and the change in me as I started attending church. As you said Glory toGod and Jesus Christ

This movie is amazing, I love it. I've rewatched it 3-4 times, i love it!! Especially how pilgrim fights off them with Bible verses. I admire his faith, and hope to reach that point.
That was one beautiful movie.... I cried and laughed at the same time. The ending brought out the tears, normally I wouldn't cry but after searching for Christ myself and going through certain trails I felt happy knowing that at the end lies Someone Great, Powerful and Loving. I'm still young and I've got much more ground to cover. Thank you for the encouraging message.

This was excellent! I felt I had some days in the "dungeon" and this reminded me of the promises of God. Everything from the songs and truth Bunyan communicated was a refreshment to my soul.
