Winterreise (Winter Journey), Opus 89 and D911, is a song-cycle for voice and piano composed by Franz Schubert and published in 1828. The work is a set of 24 songs based on a set of poems by Wilhelm Müller. Winterreise and another Schubert song cycle, Die Schöne Müllerin, are generally considered the best of all song-cycles.

It is one of my favs. I had accompanied a professional singer from Austria whom we met walking the beach. We rehearsed the Winterreise for a few years whenever he visited. It was an intense, fun, and unforgettable learning experience for me. He taught me to feel music. COVID travel restrictions closed that short chapter of my life.

Anche io amo l'opera, i mie genitori mi hanno insegnato fino da piccola, ad amare questa meravigliosa musica, e non vedevo l' ora di riprendere ad andare ad ascoltare i concerti e le opere, dopo due anni di fermo per il COVID, finalmente a ottobre dell'anno scorso il teatro Franchini di Pavia, ha riaperto con la Tosca di Puccini. Una meraviglia. E finalmente anche il teatro alla Scala di Milano ha ricominciato la stagione anche lei finalmente, mi piace tantissimo Andare ai concerti, l'ultimo concerto visto alla Scala di Milano le 4 stagioni di Vivaldi. In questi giorni sto studiando abbastanza, il 17 Ottobre inizia l'anno accademico e devo darmi da fare, non mi pesa perche' mi piace tantissimo.
