Nice one Wave ... this song is easily missed or overlooked being it was only on the Japanese edition of the album and has never (as far as I know) been released outside of Japan - it is also the only song from any of their albums that they have never played live.🦊
Thanks Wave for this reaction! This is a very underrated song which is basically not known to international listeners, only Spotify in Japan can listen to this song, loved the EDM elements mixed with the guitars and drums, this song definitely is one of my favourites
I’m the complete opposite lol. This wasn’t a song I enjoyed as much. A bit too pop for me. Nonetheless, still a good song, anything Babymetal touches is gold, but I prefer the metal sound. 🤘🦊
I used to listen to this song when YUIMETAL was around, and it brings tears to my eyes as I remember it.🦊 ずいずいずい、ずっころばし(Zui zui Zui Zukkorobashi) is the lyrics to a children's hand play song that has been performed for centuries. 🤘🦊 From🇯🇵
How could you listen to this when Yui was around considering it was released in 2019 on the Japanese version of Metal Galaxy, 2 years after she last appeared with the group, and has never been played live? 🤔
@@ThePsychosocialite You are right! Thanks for the comment!☺️ I thought it was on Metal Resistance! Years ago, I did a post on my blog with videos of all the songs from the first one, and I was going back and forth between the albums and got confused! There were almost 300 videos of songs from the 1st and 2nd albums and all I saw was YUIMETAL, so maybe that's why I remember YUIMETAL when I hear the 3rd albums song. If anything, even THE OTHER ONE...😅
3:00 Back in the 80s there was sometimes a blurb on the back of album covers saying "Home taping is killing music, and it's illegal". Because people who copied friends' LPs onto cassettes instead of buying the albums meant less profits for the record companies. Little did they know what was to come... Best response ever to that was the band Venom who put a blurb on theirs saying "Home taping is killing music, and so are Venom".
and thus they made a whole system, private copying levy, every device and cassette, VHS, etc. you buy includes a small levy so you are allowed to record at home. Still through to this day with CD/DVD/Blu-ray, etc.
I am familiar with the track because I have the Japanese vinyl. I hadn’t realised that unlike BxMxC it hadn’t been put out into the wider World digitally
Hey, I'm really glad you got to hear this almost lost classic hehe. I'm also glad you're giving it some exposure as I've always loved it. As for cassettes, I also taped from the radio. Here in the Much Vex'd Bermooths, the local AM radio station would rebroadcast the shortwave broadcast of the BBC World Service, and one of the shows was the John Peel Show. He, of course, the greatest radio DJ of all time. He dated back to the late 60s on the pirate radio stations on the lighthouse ships, but never looked back and always endeavoured to play the freshest, unheard artists. I'd religiously tape his shows, but of course had no way of acquiring music of the bands he played that I liked before the internet was a thing. There's a bunch of songs I remember from those tapes that I'm still trying to find lol.
I suspect that this song was played by their own instruments. #SU as synthesizer keyboard vocals #moa as guitar and #momo or other avenger members as bass and drummer. this is just my speculation

⬆⬇ ⬅ ➡ 🕹 🎮 Can't believe you didn't react to the live version of this song! Oh yeah, there isn't one. : ) From the lyrics it's kind of ambiguous if they are comparing life to videos games, or just straight up singing about video games. UP = Ue, DOWN = Shita, LEFT = Hidari, RIGHT = Migi. That's Moa singing "Ue, Shita, Hidari, Migi, B B A B!".
Its Japanese song name at 3:38, its English song name at 1:04, 2:52, 5:26. Howevwe, I like it the best at 2:57, 'Zui zui zui zukkoro-bashi'. But I am a bit surprised that it translates into English like this 🤔. Well, if you ask me to translate it into English, though, for me, I can't, haha.
I've just gotten heavily into Japanese Vocaloid music via Yuyoyuppe (he wrote Monochrome) and this song reminds me of it. (edit: he did the musical arrangment for this song, so i was right to be reminded) I recomend everyone who likes Babymetal or Japanese rock/metal/j-pop to enter the world of melodic metalcore Vocaloid music if you haven't already. Artists like Yuyoyuppe and Utsu-P for a start. Vocaloid singers might sound odd at first but they will quickly hyjack your synapses if you give them a chance just like other forms of Japanese music do. I would love Babymetal to do a cover EP of the best metal Vocaloid songs like 'Hope', Su would make that song into an massive anthem.
Is the meaning of the title of the BBAB understood? It refers to the input commands for the buttons you press on a game controller. I hope the meaning of B-dash is also understood by non-Japanese…
Unpopular opinion: this is probably my least favorite BABYMETAL song, with "Future Metal" which I don't consider an actual song. Unpopular opinion 2: we are able to hear any music today thanks to Napster (and sequels) and their peers, who battled against the "establishment" (the same people of the 80's ads on recording from the radio, plus Lars Ulrich, haha...).

This is actually my favorite song from Metal Galaxy! And my 2nd favorite Babymetal song overall! (Since I don't have a metal taste in music normally.)
My favorite song from Metal Galaxy too

Who has more twists and turns in their music than Babymetal? So unique. But not just different to be different. They do it with style.
A song dedicated to every gamer 🦊🤘🎮
