I remember an interview in wich Lynn said that she used to fake Happy in stage but there Was a point she decided to not undercover Her feelings and then she felt a lot more relaxed
As someone who has seen them live twice, I can tell there is something wrong with Lynn (either emotionally, mentally, or physically). I can tell she isn't giving 100%.
first live performance ive ever seen of pvris and i can tell too... its pretty obvious whether its her singing or just her not being ok idk but she gives me a weird vibe

Danibrandon99 shes stated multiple times that she’s going through a intense depression I have seen her perform from 2015 to now she has dramatically changed in her style due to depression which is quite sad in all honesty she used to give 110% and now she barely gives anything

It's not a secret that she suffers from a stomach ailment and that she has struggled with mental health, and this is not at all the energetic, and absolutely glowing Lynn I saw live opening for BMTH. Such a fenominally talented musician and front(wo)man, this video doesn't do her justice!

I have to say I really miss Lynn's 2013-15 performances. She seemed to have much more energy. & I think Lynn has started singing more with her head voice now. Her voice sounded stronger in earlier performances, and she barely tries to use any distortion in her voice now...perhaps she's afraid of damage or doesn't trust her voice, but she's super talented & I wish she'd trust herself more. It kind of reads on her face that she's overthinking herself while performing.
I agree I wish she could go back to full force.
I saw them at Leeds in 2015 and everything was spot-on vs the record. What a show that was omg.

same thing, I miss lynn singing style in 2015, but i have notice that her voice has become lower, so maybe thats the reason she cant sing like in 2015

no she doesn't sound her best. but you have to think of how difficult it is to play on stage. this band works very hard. the nervousness of playing in front of this many people is unimaginable. a real fan wouldn't care if they sound exactly like their studio recording when they play live. maybe she's going through something, maybe she's just extremely nervous. no one knows. true pvris fans would always love and support them no matter how they sound

I remember this performance and this day differently. The sun was shining much brighter, the sky was bluer and the emotional energy was on another level, too.
They played after Nothing but Thieves [PVRIS & NBT opened for Muse both; Muse was the last gig on the day before] and I didn't know about them before that. I've been grateful for them performing then and there ever since. Which is why I'm a little bit puzzled.

when I saw Pvris live last year, I was absolutely blown away with her voice! she sounded fucking amazing-- extremely close to the recording. I think the fact that this is recorded has something to do with the way her voice sounds, because videos I have from the night also sound distorted.
she mustve also been absolutely worn out here too, because she was full of energy also

I love PVRIS but I do admit, they are a studio band. By that, I mean I get hyped listening to them in the car but I know I don't need to see it live. They do sound great live. I not saying they suck.
she damaged her vocal cords during the tour years ago and it's obvious she's trying to sing in a way it won't damage it further. Even when she's asking the audience to jump, she's using her falsetto voice .

Her microphone is too low, and idk she seems out of energy, almost like she doesn’t wanna be there. This kind of performance works for artists like Lana del Rey, but not for the type of music pvris do. Still love them, though.

Guys, lets be honest, studio audio wow, but this... nop. Adore Linn, not hater, but we all hear that, right? And not need to tell what live concert its "omg, so nervous, so hard". I was sing a lot of years, a lot of live concerts at shool and you know what? If you prepare, warm voice and etc, you will sing good. And she know this songs, she write them, how she can sing like that?

Just an ordinary opinion it's extremely difficult for someone to sing live. Even the more experienced singers with years of practising may do mistakes, but Lynn has changed her singing style dramatically I'm not aware if she had problems in the past with her voice but honestly the distortion and the aggressiveness she was giving in her voice 2 years ago made her special among other frontwomen it's a shame we are not able to feel this anymore

Until you’re a vocalist, don’t complain about Lynn’s vocals. She’s stated before that she’s finally getting to where she isn’t as stage frightened as she usually is. Her voice sounds AMAZING here.
Nobody is a PERFECT vocalist. That’s stupid and just for the studio. Here she is raw and putting her pure energy in to it.
Aside from that, do you realize playing at these shows are more difficult than playing their own shows because the people here aren’t just here for Pvris and maybe not at all because they sadly haven’t heard of them so they’re waiting it out so so you imagine how awkward that has to be facing tons of people who have no idea who you are? THAT IS COURAGE!

She has said in many interviews she's has problems with her voice. She says she's felt strangled 8n her vocal chords. No one is perfect. Look into it genuinely. She honestly amazing.

@@morganread-drumcovers actually, she improved a lot. Two years ago I couldn't listen to any live videos of the band because of her terrible performances. If you look for older videos you'll notice the difference, believe me 😂

Pvris is my favorite band. But I have to say that I think that Lynn seems to has less energy on stage while back in 2015. Her voice is correct, definetely, but she seems like she goes through the "easy" way and npt try to do something extra. It's like she is not trusting herself and her voice. Her singing is great now too, i just think she misses that "aggressiveness" she had some years ago, like her growls

Lynn's vocals just don't cut though. I can barely hear the lyrics she's singing and they should get a live keyboardist or arrange the songs with less synths. The guitar/bass duo is so focused on playing and less on performing to the audience.
For some reason it sounds like she was on anti-anxiety meds or something during this or maybe very sick. Her energy level is so low, it looks like she doesn't even care. She's not even getting into the songs. She used back tracks for MANY vocals....I'd rather them just play instrumental parts than add in vocal back tracks. Like especially the "YOU TOOK MY" part in "Heaven" towards the end...like she should've been screaming that part at the audience, but instead she stood there not even singing that part at all, letting the back tracks do it. I would be so fucking confused if I was in the audience.
I definitely expect her voice to sound tired, and I don't expect her to sound perfect or do every single vocal part because singing live like that is very difficult, especially because of all the touring they were doing....but this is a whole new level of weird. I saw them live in LA for their tour kick off for their last album, and she was so into the music. Her vocals weren't on point, but because of her passion for what she was singing, I didn't care about the vocals being off. Even then I wished there were less backtracks, but it looks like they added even more :(

Man I adore PVRIS but... this was so disappointing to watch. Justin nailed his aspect of the performance, but everyone else just feels so stiff. I hope in time they can loosen up at big festivals like this. I'm even not gunna go into Lynn's vocals... Did anyone else get vibes that so many elements (of the whole performance) were just so off?

AfterEightShave First of all, Rock Am Ring is not only German, it is international. Second, the band just isn't that well known here. Look at concerts like Rise Against and then we talk about the "German crowd ". :)
@@vivienma7963 It is literally IN Germany. Yes, there are a bunch of people from all over the world that travel to go there, but the main part of the crowd is obviously German.
I am from Germany myself and have been to loads of concerts ranging from club shows of unknown bands to big concert hall shows from basically rockstars and I can tell you this with absolute certainty: German crowds suck ass lol regardless of the fame of the band they're watching.
I was there, this year, at this concert. (I am German too.) And I personally think that cameras can‘t catch all emotions. It’s just my opinion but I respect yours. :)
German crowds are usually one of the best in the world, Pvris just wasn't well known, look at the Parkway Drive concert from the same weekend :) I've been to a lot of concerts in Germany and while there were some exceptions, but 90% of the time the crowds went absolutely nuts. Another example is Enter Shikari, crowds in Germany always bring energy at their concerts without being told to do anything, same with Linkin Park.
