  • I built a custom GPT that specializes in qualitative research, thematic analysis, qualitative data analysis and related topics. It will tell you about initial coding, focused coding, themes and everything else you need to understand qualitative research and analyze your data (and if you use it right, it may analyze your data too)

Thank you so much, also for casually breaking down the qualitative analysis process while explaining other things:) Very helpful!

I use both chagpt and claude 2 comparing outputs for the past few months and I find interesting and helpful. There is much more to tell but I have to say your videos inspired me a lot.

Thank you for sharing - glad to hear that you feel this way about the content I post! :) I am yet to give Claude a go, there is just so much to choose from! Next week I will be posting a video where I compare ChatGPT to Bard (now known as Gemini) in how they perform at doing literature searches. I need to check Claude out too. I am also using different tools flexibly, as one seem to outperform the other in one task while being inferior in another

I’ve not heard of Claude, thank you. I’ll give it a go

Glad to hear that. I know it can still be a hit and miss. Yesterday I asked it about specific quote that I pasted, and it started to cite a random and completely irrelevant section from a MAXQDA book I had uploaded. But like I said, ChatGPT in general can be like that so we shouldn't expect too much of it. When I have time, I will be uploading more instructions to this tool, as I find that it is particularly good at the bits that I explicitly addressed when talking to it. But thank you for giving it a go!

Hello Dr! Thank you for the content you shared! It is really helpful, especially for qualitative research beginners, as me. By the way, did you change the name of your GPT assistant?

thank you for the feedback! The GPT assistant apparently is still there, if you search for things like "Kriukow" and "thematic analysis". I am a bit confused myself as I ended my paid ChatGPT subscription, and I thought this would eliminate the associated GPT bot, but I actually found it listed with other custom GPTs, so it is there somewhere :)

Can you recommend any content or courses on custom GPT development?

I am not aware of anything, apart from just using RUclips - it is a relatively straightfoward process so I would encourage you to just give it a go ! :)
