I ONLY eat fresh Vegetables and fruits
NO CANS period.
Abiyah:
It is awesome that you are cleaning out of your cabinets, but it may be wise to start an emergency closet for food, water, flashlights, etc., especially in this hour! I'm so proud of you! ❤
Agreed
Always purchase natural maple syrup and still have it only some times
And be sure to keep it refrigerated after opening
I do like maple syrup 👍🏾
@@AbiyahBina delicious when you pour a little in a cup and heat it in the microwave just for a second and pour over your pancakes or waffle 😋
I'm a plant-based vegan, but 😂🤣😅Jackfruit and I don't get along... I use either Banana Blossom and/or Hearts of Palms; as a replacement in any recipes using Jackfruit...
I do want to try Hearts of Palm.
Yay!! I’m so excited for this journey Abiyah. I’m right there with you!!🙌🏿🙌🏿
You got this, Abiyah! Simple Mills is a great brand for your cracker replacement. For every processed food, there's more healthy substitutes. I love this journey for you ❤❤❤ Become a label reader. Our diet is 80%, and our exercise is 20. When you stop eating certain foods, you will naturally lose weight. Siete brand is great replacement for taco seasoning ❤
Thanks for the cracker suggestion 🥰🥰
I hope you donated all that food you no longer want to eat.Good for yoy changing your Lifestyle.
Yes, all the unopened and not expired food I gave away and donated.
@@AbiyahBina Fabulous. Always a hungry mouth somewhere. Stay blessed 🙏🏾 I miss your van life. Do you plan on venturing out for a car camp somewhere. 🇬🇧
Hi Abiyah, I switched to Rao’s pasta. It doesn’t have enriched flour or enriched products. Great job!! Your cabinets look great.
That tuna is highly processed and the oil is toxic
Yes, I didn’t keep the tuna
@@AbiyahBina I sometimes eat a small can of Tuna( line caught wild tuna) packed in water or Extra Virgin Olive oil
It's OK for once in a while
Mostly eat wild caught Salmon, farmed raised Trout, Chilean Sea Bass, Wild caught Tuna, wild caught Halibut
You should try my (one dish mesl)
A whole chicken leg or half a chicken
Seasons with thin lemon slices pushed under the skin , wit sodium FREE lemon/pepper Seasonings. a little garlic powder,
( you can use a little Hemilyan sea salt for flavor. A little pieces of ( roasted garlic. Basil and Parsley butter) under the skin and on top of the chicken
In.a good size backing dish..or large stainless steel skillet place whole chicken leg(drumstick and thigh) in center of cook dish
Add your vegetable of choice
I use a carrot ,cut in 3" pieces, a chunch.of calaflower,Brussel sprouts, (you decide how many) cut a apple in half(use both halfs)
These are your vegetable and fruit
Put some fresh Theme sprig over vegetable and drizzle a little Extra Virgin Olive oil all over every thing
Put.in a 400drgtee oven and cook about 40 minutes. Check for doneness
And enjoy your one pan meal
Oh, cook.Uncovered
As you get comfortable with this meal, you can change your vegetable to
Wash a patoto (leave skin on) cut in chuncks and drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive oil. A pinch if Hamalyan Pink sea salt, crackerjack pepper, or a swee6 potato, a big piece if Broccoli etc
Cut sweet potato just like plain patoto
Tuna packed in water is better
Happy Sunday 💖Beautiful Woman of GOD🙋🏽♀️‼️So excited to see you 😃as always 💁🏽♀️lol. I have been learning a LOT during your challenge💓. Today’s lesson was soooooo enlightening thank you 🙏🏽 and press on you’re doing GREAT 🫶🏽✌🏽
Happy Sunday! You are doing awesome with your new life journey on being healthy.❤❤❤😊
Thank you so much 🤗
You're an inspiration.
I was diagnosed pre-diabetic. You got it detox from artificial sugar and fried for saved me. It tool one year and I'm diabetic free.😊
Hi Abiya!!
Taco seasoning is easy to make. Pinterest has several recipes.
Thanks for the tip! 😊
Throw out everything with palm oul.
I don’t know 🤷🏾♀️ what’s wrong with palm oil?
My doctor said the same thing. Absolutely no palm oil.
look into the history of the U.S. war on palm oil lol 😆 it isn’t as bad for us as they say in fact there are benefits just look at west Africans who use palm oil on the regular
Check the sodium on that soy sauce
Good job on replaceing some foods. Today I bought capri pants sz 16 used to be 20w. I couldnt follow your plan but we have to choose what works for us. A Dr. (I dropped) Insisted I try Mediterranean diet I gained 5lbs in 1 week, bye bye Dr.
I love Amy’s soups!! Expensive though…but worth it, when you can’t make your own. I like their Lentils soup. Their Black bean Chili is good. Healthy Valley has a good Vegetable soup (no salt).
You've done a fantastic job on your journey and you've inspired me to get up and move and do better with myself The only thing that I'm going to say I really appreciate this video, one thing it made me realize is that I truly eat close to the Earth. Anything in a can no matter even if it's have good ingredients and it looks like it doesn't have a lot of preservatives. What we need to know is what they had to do to the food to put it in the can and keep it in the can for years on the shelf kills all the nutrients. So the best thing, I believe is to get it frozen or cook it fresh. That's my take on it, if it's fresh it's food. Once it's processed you're killing all the nutrients in it. Canned foods are dead food.
Not having the "bad food" at home helps a lot. Like the person above said palm oil is not good. It is saturated and bad for your heart. 100 percent pure maple syrup is nutritious and delicious to replace unhealthy syrups. Have a great week!
You were correct about the popcorn the first time… I buy a big bag of organic popcorn kernels ( keep them in a cute jar on the counter ) and cook in a pot on the stove with organic olive oil. I cook extra and put in ziplock bags for emergency snacks. 😊
I'm with you on this journey I try do a vegan diet I don't buy me at the market at all I buy vegan meats but I try not to eat to much of that either and I buy almond milk vegan bread and veggies❤ best of luck sis❤
When I went to care for my aunt, who was battling a terminal illness, I threw out EVERYTHING that was processed, had 'enriched' ingredients, dyes etc. I threw out all of her toiletries that had any chemicals - the shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, body wash, dishwashing detergent... everything! It was ridiculous how much stuff I threw in the trash can. I felt bad and apologized to her, especially about the food because even if it was bad food, it was still food that fills one's belly, and she, as a senior citizen, had to go through various processes (getting money, going to the store, bringing groceries home etc) to get these things, but the truth is those things were literally harming her and impacting her ability to get better. We as a society have been programmed to eat what looks and tastes good and what's quick and easy. It is to our detriment because corporations are behind these products and are getting rich by shortening our lives. I know it isn't always easy to eat the greatest. I say this as someone who has been called a health nut but I'm also a full time van lifer and I am sometimes in areas that don't have the best selections. But I always tell people - even if you're gonna have a sloppy cheeseburger (yes, they are good once in a while, lol), then AT LEAST make it at home. That way you'll be exposed to less of the garbage that is pre-packaged and processed stuff and certainly less than a restaurant or fast food joint. I really love your new food choices, Abiyah! And I hope you will also take a look at refined sugars, too. Since you'll be making most of your stuff you'll be exposed to it less which is great. I stopped consuming it a handful of years ago when I became aware that there are nearly 70 different names for it and it's hidden in things you'd never expect - like bacon, crackers, pretzels, etc. The impact of that stuff is truly devastating.
You can get a healthier version of pasta and other things , but they usually cost more and you may need to go to specialty stores. I have never tried jack fruit.
I have been a label reader for years BUT I didn’t knew that manufacturers took stuff out and in “enriched” garbage. Most lard is beef. I would have taken the canned goods and put them away incase of shortages.
Lard= pork
Tallow= beef
@@Jenjin1313💯
@@Jenjin1313 thanks, I always thought it was beef. Learn something new every day!🤣

GREETINGS FROM ST.LOUIS
Hi 👋🏾
Thank you for sharing this journey with us.
Look at them cute lil’ bitty bananas 😊
Grand rising to you this blessed Sunday morning. Congratulations on making a lifestyle change for the betterment of your health!
What type of wrap did you use for your jackfruit wrap ?It looked delicious 🤤
Hi. I used Boston Butter Lettuce 🥬
Hey Abiyah, I’ve been pescatarian since January and most of my foods are organic. I have jackfruit in my pantry but have not cooked it yet so I will try it out. Thanks for the video ❤
I would have topped it Cole slaw. But I didn’t have any so I used pickles. Cause I’m only eating fruits vegetables and nuts for 30 days
Choose you rice carefully. Be sure it is not enriched rice. Try Jasmine or Basmati rice. I sound and look great. Best wishes in your journey.
Actually that’s the only rice I buy. lol
Keep up the good work Abby way to go❤🎉
Hello! I’ve found a pretty good brand of pasta that is not enriched from Rao’s. Rao’s pasta sauces are good too.
Thanks for the tip! 😊
That is a very good start!❤❤
That is a very good start!❤❤
You are inspiring.
*Awesome video!*
You can have pop corn, just NOT micro wave ones
Try an : Air popper' or Skinny brand popcorn
What about fresh organic popped with Avacado oil? Asking for myself lol.
@@jlsc6847 That's OK but just for me I have to watch my sodium intake that's why I pop my own
A airpopper cost very little and you can add what you want
Or I purchase a low sodium bag of already popped corn that uses Extra Virgin Olive oil
And we'll as crackers
No palm oil no canola oil. etc
