    Society has made beauty and femininity such a thing and has always put the newlyweds and the new mothers on the pedestal. Some women think that marrying a rich guy or being financially dependent on a guy will make their life easy, some women think that their ‘beauty’ has made them so desirable that it’s a man’s responsibility to revive them forever 😅 as you pointed out very rightfully, after the initial honeymooning phase, the woman usually starts losing the respect if barring the beauty they don’t bring anything new to the table, also a man undervalues her even if she takes care of the family. Both men and women need to get out of this bollywood utopia and have their reality check.

    • @ritwikghosh7743
      @ritwikghosh7743 13 дней назад +3

      That's a mature comment right there. Both genders looking to prioritise themselves and either choosing to be on pedestal or a victim, as per benefitting situations, that's the root cause of the issues that occur.
      The partriarchal mindset has brainwashed both the genders and both (not just men) need to come out of it completely, only then we can get over these stereotypes which are harmful for both the sides.

    the content is fairly well but still majority of the women think if she is earning money her husband should earn at least 4 times more than how much she is earning, this is the dark truth and nobody talks about it,, their vision is always high,, if she is making 1 lakh per month she will never marry a man who is earning 30k per month
    but if the situation is exact opposite, the man will definitely marry that woman
    we always speaks about equality and this is the equality

    • @ryuchic462
      @ryuchic462 15 дней назад +7

      First of all, do you have a data on your claim?
      Secondly, in India marriage is still largely arranged by the family not the girl herself. And to families money is a big factor behind marriage.
      Thirdly, men are mostly associated with their money and women with their beauty and fertility. It is a century old conditioning. We cannot expect the mindset to be vanished in a blink of an eye.
      Fourthly, Many women have career breaks during their pregnancy. Some even leave their job. If a household is dependent on the women's income more then it might look unsustainable. So isn't it very natural?

    • @anempath24
      @anempath24 15 дней назад

      @@ryuchic462 You will undoubtedly bring baseless arguments to defend hypergamy but refuse to acknowledge its flaws or your own contradictions. Tell me, what kind of "arranged marriage" exists in the West? None. Yet, even in the most progressive societies, women continue to expect men to earn significantly more than they do. This phenomenon is prevalent even in highly developed Scandinavian countries, where equality is championed.
      Your argument about patriarchy and arranged marriages being the root cause is flawed. And NO, men do not tie their identity solely to their financial status. it’s women who often choose partners based on material success. So please, don’t gaslight.
      And let’s not pretend that women don’t prioritize physical attributes. we consistently see that women are often more selective about physical appearance than men.
      If your defense is simply "conditioning," then by that logic, dowry practices could also be justified as mere cultural conditioning. However, as rational beings, we are more than our conditioning. Humans possess a conscience, the ability to think critically, and the capability to challenge societal norms. Therefore, using "conditioning" as a blanket excuse for hypergamous behavior is both illogical and hypocritical.
      and also u dont need a data to understand basic gender dynamics which is happening right infront of ur eyes.

    Hi girls!Just want to add something to what she said -if you want to get married and what to have kids with your partner,know that the relationship can never be equal .Some of it is because of biology (like pregnancy and breastfeeding) and it can take anything between 2 to 7 years for your body to recover.Please take this into consideration because you won't be able to work,would be forced to take a paycut when you join workforce eventually,have less to put in savings and investment.
    Secondly,some of it like being awake all night for baby,being available 24*7 to attend to needs are social and extremely taxing physically esp if you are also expected to do housework along with it all ,as SAHM. You need a partner who understands that time spent on childcare is extremely valuable,imp for mental, physical,emotional development of child and that his job is primarily to support you in every way during those initial years.
    However,if you don't plan to have children,you would be fine if you choose to live separately from in laws.

      Also, if we have to prioritize homemaking as women, then y educate the girl child at all? Eventually her husband will also ask her to be a housewife right? Yes women need support for initial years but they can work otherwise.

    3:30 - Errorneous statement. You overlook the fact that India never denied voting rights to women from the day of independence. The feminism movement started in USA due to women not having voting rights. Do not mix up Indian women with US women. Indian women were always empowered, at least in middle class families. There was an entire women army wing in India National Army of Subash Chandra Bose. It would not have come about in a society that is supposed to have "suppressed women for generations". While 70 years later, today women are not merely empowered but weaponized. Weaponized to cause a downfall of human civilization itself.

What is the percentage of marriages where the woman earns more than a man? This question is not intended to provoke a man vs woman debate. Not everyone thinks like you however, morally right you may be. Your collective of women is extremely small.
    What you are saying is absolutely correct. This kind of content makes modern women look extremely materialistic, shallow and heartless. That's why the term "gold digger" seems to becoming more and more applicable day by day for modern women.
    However, please dont forget to mention the fact that most women are hypergamous, be it by requirement or by nature. Since the last decade, this tendency has increased ten fold for modern women, even though they are earning. Majority of working women never marry a man who earns less than her (where the reverse has never been a problem for men). Even if they do, then that marriage ends in shambles, divorce, extra marital affairs, etc. (jyoti maurya case).
    See, the mindset of most men are changing for the good due to enforcement of accountability via law and social shaming and constant propagation of women centric messages via media and society, but the mindset of the most women is degrading day by day for the lack of accountability due to the same laws that dont hold women responsible for morally and legally wrong actions & wrong messages of empowerment disbursed in the same media and absence of social shaming.
    If women want equality, they have to speak up against the wrong actions and mindset of the people to their own gender and denounce them.
    Men do that for their own gender most of the time.
    I understand that women have been downtrodden for a long time, and now they are getting the chance to move ahead and many are still waiting to get that chance.
    There is still lot to be done in that area.
    But a balance had to be maintained, otherwise, we are heading towards an all out gender war.

      bhaiya, comparing to women, men were still allowed to have education specially overseas (like freedom fighters who did their higher education in London sponsored by Britishers), I know percentage was less like only 1 in 11 women in India was literate belonging from upper class.

      Bhaiya ji History book v thik se padh lete. Indian men from the upper castes did get education even under British rule. Men from upper-class society often even went overseas to get higher education. Women, on the other hand, were restricted for a long time to get any formal education. Men and women both fought against society and the system to give women their educational rights. Get your facts checked.

    Its always better to be self dependent! But...if you ask all women to earn their living then womenkind wont survive!
    The suspension that dependence on man likely to lead to abouse...based on what? Is it projection? Because dependence on women has led to mass abuse of men through 498A or alimony etc! This scale and degree of abouse of women has never happened!
    Only mothers has faught for daughter's education? Your father was not interested in educating you? Was fighting necessary to educate women? I was born in 77 and i found it normal! Women were educated not necessarily to earn money! Education is essential to self-cultivation! There were millions of women like Charulata throughout the ages in all countries with requisite leisure ( thanks to male slaves) and resources to contribute to civilization! What have they done? It will be good to think a bit about what you can contribute rather than what you can get!
