Other than sending my never ending gratitude and love to you all, I want to correct my in the moment mistake - those were not bees, they were probably yellow jackets :) bees are amazing and necessary for the environment and tend to get a bad name (because of moments like mine) haha these were wasps or yellow jackets that I came across that do in fact attack. So just a reminder, send love and don’t be afraid of the honey bees :-) but darnnnn those wasps are painful and eager and that was scary as heck! Haha LOVE FOR THE BEES THOUGH, we need them! 🫶🏻
30 years of nomad life in Oregon and I'll never change. Just so much beauty here. Thank you for sharing your videos too people who don't have a chance to visit Oregon. And of course say hi to camper. Peace out
Real ppl are so few and far between it's a breath of fresh air to see two real ppl in one place being human and humane together... Shine your light 🙏🤲🌻
Sorry you're going through it. Your videos surely have helped me get through some of those days. You're also one of the main reasons I've been inspired lately to consider buying a camper and spending some time out there with my grandkids. Im obsessively researching right now and hope to purchase sometime next year. I look forward to your video every week. It gives me a bit of a boost and I hope you are having some happier days now. Hi Camper!! Hope your bee stings feel better sweet boy!
That was so beautiful and peaceful at the beginning. It is so true what you shared. Just because a person seems to have it all together and doesn't share all their troubles doesn't mean they don't experience heartbreak. A good reminder to be kind. Sending you love and hugs Nikki.
Absolutely, never make assumptions and always show compassion to people you don't know. Most people are good people, but the 10% that aren't so good have a way of taking up 100% of your mental space sometimes, so you have to brush them off like pesky wasps. Glad you had some fun in the Bend area and were able to spend some quality time with your friend! Keep bringing joy into our lives!
Love the sound of the rain & the babbling brook. Glad you're ok after the bees, hope Camper is too. I hope you're ok with whatever you're dealing with. Share if & when you can. You always put smiles on my face. Thanks. Love those incredible views. Glad you spent some time with Lauren. Take care of yourself & of Camper.
Dear Nikki Sorry if something happened to you. Both my wife and I are concerned, but glad you are/were your best friend at the right time. You are living an amazing life, with such vibrant and important purpose, that any good guy would wait for you. Cheers to both of you wonderful single women. You have inspired my daughters to travel the world and I am very proud of them. You are not just a good person, but a great role model. Thank you so much from our entire family.
As someone who struggles with social issues, I am grateful to have a glimpse into your travels. Each video makes me smile. I hope that this will make you smile when you need to.

@@NikkiDelventhal just wanted to let you know your channel is awesome. You are an inspirational person who has so much talent. You have a personality that is original. You got it figured out too. Nikki, just want to let you know that your adventures pull me out of very hard days. They give me dopamine to help soothe my sleep and give me motivation. Lately I’ve been loading up my jeep and getting away for mini adventures with my dog. Thank you❤
Those are Yellow Jackets. They're wasps. They don't leave their stingers in your skin and can sting you multiple times. They are always aggressive, but especially so in the fall when they are beginning to die off. Only a queen survives winter and starts a new nest in the spring.
I love your channel! I just binged watched like five of your adventures! Just know that we all go “through” things. The operative word is “THROUGH.” Thank God for helping us all to get through those tough times. Keep your head up and keep pressing on. ❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Nikki, Just recently found your videos on RUclips. You are inspiring! I’m a pretty old lady, but I used to camp solo with my dog in a tent some years ago! Can’t do the tent thing anymore. The first part of the video got me in the feels. I don’t assume everything is always great for you (cue wasps) but nevertheless what we mostly see are these amazing adventures. Thanks as always for taking us along whatever journey you choose to share, Nikki (and Camper). ❤

Welcome to Oregon. I think it's officially rain season now, soon it'll swap out with freezing rain and snow. I hope your tires are grippy and don't be too over confident with the 4x4. I see guys race by me in the winter on I-84 then a few miles down the road they're upside down in the ditch or worse. I hope you visit the Columbia Gorge before it gets too cold. I would keep a small amount of ammonia in a bottle in your rig, moisten a cotton ball with ammonia immediately put it on the bee sting and hold it there for several minutes. Insect venom is usually acidic and ammonia is alkaline so this helps neutralizes the poison, and is best applied as soon as possible to the bee or wasp sting. MSG also works. I know first hand the entire bug community hates me.
I woke up this morning on my king sized bed in rural Montana, watched snow falling outside my windows tucked in my glorious sheets and blankets. I moved a little and my big Siamese jumped out from his spot curled between my feet, my other kitty from my left upper side and my 100lb boy Jameson looked up at me on my left side. I said good morning to him and he rolled over onto his back, leaning against my side. I sat there scratching his belly and chest watching the snow and Nikki and Camper. Perfect morning in Trout Creek, Montana! I used to deep woods, off trail backpack for weeks on end. My big furkids often came across bees and wasp nests. I also carried some Benadryl for them after some soothing!!
I loved this one because I used to visit Bend, Oregon a lot years ago. I bought 5 Harley Davidson motorcycles over the years from the dealer in Bend, played golf in Sunriver a billion times, floated down the Deschutes River and skied Mount Bachlor.more times than I can count. Many years (decades) ago, my wife and I (ignore my moniker, I am 73 year old male) also hiked to the top of Paulina Peak. We did the easy hike, though. From parking lot to peak was about 50 feet. We were there on a clear day. We looked north into Washington sate and could easily see Mt. St. Helens, and I am pretty sure we could see Mt. Rainier. We looked real hard, and I think we got a quick peak of Mt. Shasta trying to be visible through the haze in California. We couldn't see the ocean due to coastal mountain ranges, but we could easily turn and look east into Nevada. What was really neat was a fellow tourist had a "coffee table" type book which had silhouette pages of mountain peaks. They were indexed so you could seledct the peak you were on, turn to that page and the book showed and named (in silhouette) the peaks visible from the peak you were on. Also, we could look to the east and see sunlight reflecting off the tons of obsidian in the Big Obsidian Flow, an area we later walked through. And for those wondering, the answer is "NO", taking obsidian from the area is not permitted. Fun fact: Paulina Peak is named after Chief Paulina, a much feared war chief. Not sure of his "tribe". Depends on which source you pick up and read, and I only know what I have read about him. I enjoy your videos. Got caught up in them when I recognized the area you were in the first one I watched....Tamolitch Falls, AKA, the Blue Pool.
May God always watch over u & camper and I'll be PRAYING for you always and we all just love you and camper remember your never ALONE we are with you 🙌
