Great video Jeremy, you brought back some good bowhunting memories seeing the old familiar spot again. I am glad my knife is doing good for you, would like to see blood on it a few more times before season is over HaHa.
You will be coming home at prime time. Down in the south part, Pike, Walthall and Marion Co. we are just now getting the bucks chasing some does. Should be fire hunting from here till the end of season. Best of luck fellas.
How true you are about enjoying the time that we’re still on this side of the grass! Life is so precious and unpredictable! The woods just takes me to a place where my soul just seems to get refreshed, harvest or no harvest. You are kin to the squirrels Jeremy, they too are showing us how the grind pays off. Good luck back home, looking forward to the next your next journey!
REALLY like your videos! The way you talk and what you talk about. . . I'm glad you don't use music that covers up the sounds of the woods. Drive safe!
Good morning 😁 👋 I appreciate your video's and the wisdom you share brother, I'm hunting this morning in far north Texas, Wheeler Tx with my daddy, he's 70 years old and enjoying the time we get to share out here, thank you again for sharing the video's
I love watching your shows. I've told you before that I've planned to retire early to be able to enjoy life. I'll be 49 this Feb and come next September my plan is to retire and start hunting more. Planning out west elk in Colorado and hunting my way back. Thanks for the encouragement. I've got a lot of planning to do and don't know where to start.
Always a great story. The reality is what we do is hunting, not necessarily killing. Just because you didn’t harvest a buck doesn’t mean it wasn’t a successful hunt. Curt WhiteTAILS Deer Hunting
My neck of the woods. I grew up hunting in the Daniel Boone National Forest Id say in some of those big hollows there are many, what dad used to call, old home places. That place your in looks very much like an area we used to hunt.
your right about retirement, the years go quick, to quick once you get older, I'm 73 and hunt every day, and a couple different states, can[t do what I used to but I'm out.
James 4:14. “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time, then vanisheth away.”
Love watching the process, not all about the kill. Did you say you guys haven’t had the rut in Mississippi yet? See ya next time Jeremy, I’ve ordered 4 shirts so far!trying to help at least a little.
This proves the acorns don’t always fall from the right tree ! I’m just fixing to get mad at em lol. My rut starts the second week of January here in Louisiana , so I’m getting an itchy finger and I’m out of meat. Have a buddy coming in from Alaska to hunt a week with me and I’m going up there in late August. Moose, Caribou, and Black Bear will hopefully be on the menu this time next year.
I have hunted Ky public lands for more than 45 years. It is very difficult to know if the buck that left the big signs is still alive or summer sausage. I just spent all my time hunting for a big one. I never seen him but he left big rubs. If he lives through the Winter and next Summer he will be B&C. Good luck in Mississippi
I know a few who need to understand the message about doing it now while you can...next year may not come. Your vids are always welcome and done well, good luck.
I’m a first time subscriber I’ve watched several of your videos and wanted to show support for you so I had my daughter set me up an account so I could at least show you support about something I am truly passionate about myself.
Sorry you didn't get a bluegrass buck. There's some good public land in the eastern part of the state I can turn you on too if you ever come to this part of the state
Hey I would like to see u come try these mountain deer down here in eastern Kentucky , there a real pain sometimes but I believe u got the knowledge to kill a bruiser , I can point u in the right direction anytime thanks!!
U can contact me anytime I can give u some info on some public with atv access and foot access I’m very familiar with and what county to look at so u can observe some maps
Seems to work more often than not. Not trying to be argumentative but I thought the same as you. In fact many times over the years if I couldn’t get in the tree 1 hour before shooting time I would not hunt. I’m still learning after 45 years.
Any experience using a foldable kayak? I’d like to get one to save on space , it’d be nice to not have to use a canoe trailer, but not sure how durable they are.
Can you hunt on public land with a rifle? The ky website is misleading on this topic. I thought you could only rifle hunt on a quote hunt. I’m new to hunting and it’s so hard to learn it.
I would rather watch this realistic content, where you can actually learn something, than just about anything else. Thanks for sharing your opinion though, I’m sure it’s very reflective of your personality.
You are sure right , my dad used to say “son, time is swiftly passing by”. Enjoy the videos, And I’m doing as much as I can what you do. Love it.

This has to be one of the best hunting channels on RUclips!

Time does take a toll on your body.
I love hunting in different places. I hope to do some state hopping in the near future.
Good Luck!

Love the message of this video. I have my wife working very hard so we can retire at 50 as well 😂😂😂
That's a plan. Good Luck!

Always good to see you trying to knock em down. What did you windup doing to the paddle to stay dry.
Someone suggested a gas spout guard cover found it on amazon $5 each.

GOD know how much time you got
Why do you always get started after sunrise? Cause you want to look around first? Seems like most all your moring hunts start "late".
I am not a morning person. I will stay to the cow come home, but not up with the chickens.
Seems to work more often than not. Not trying to be argumentative but I thought the same as you. In fact many times over the years if I couldn’t get in the tree 1 hour before shooting time I would not hunt. I’m still learning after 45 years.
What heavier neck gaiter you use?
Got it at a store on the road.
Any experience using a foldable kayak? I’d like to get one to save on space , it’d be nice to not have to use a canoe trailer, but not sure how durable they are.
I like my alpaca pretty durable. Haven’t used a foldable one
A few episodes ago you had some boot covers you put on to keep your feet warm. What brand were those?
Arctic shield
@@doityourselfhunter9031 thanks man
I have the same ones they work great I’ve had mine for years, but they were really inexpensive.
what kind of raft are you using?
Alpacka raft
What powder and grain charge are you using?
Black horn 209 80 gr by weight

I have never rifle hunted KY, but I am sure you can hunt some of them. I would tell you to call the KY game and fish and ask them .
What neck gaiter is that
Do you ever hunt lbl on the Tennessee side
Never hunted lbl maybe one day.
