  • On this video, I scout a couple days before a major front comes through. Found some good signs and I think I found the right tree.

That's exactly what I was talking about. I appreciate you including more of the scouting and showing the sign you're hunting. Sometimes it can take a while to find what you're looking for, but just like when you found that tree, when you know... you know. I can't wait to see how it turns out! I forgot to mention the 911 call, I hope everything is ok with that, at least it's warmer if you did go over.

That's one thing that always concerns me is flipping the kayak and being deep in the woods with no cell service. I ALWAYS carry emergency gear to start a fire, poncho and ER blanket. Better to have it and not need it verse need it and not have it. I had a scary moment this season with the Canadian river near Amarillo Texas. Subzero temperatures and the 4 wheeler feel into a big hole while crossing the river that night in my way back to camp. We were 6 miles from camp. The Honda four wheeler was submerged in freezing cold running water up to the top of the seat. Thank the good Lord we were able to get it out but had to get off of it into the river to assist it to pull up out of the hole. It was a very humbling experience that I will never forget. Mother nature has NO MERCY, you better be prepared. Hope you boat wreck wasn't too bad 😨🫣

I came to Mississippi when hurricane Katrina hit. I worked for Kentucky State Police, and came to aid Mississippi law enforcement. Ill never forget what I saw there, it was terrible. But, those were the nicest people ive ever met. While enroute to my patrol area, people that had lost everything flagged me down and made sure i had food and water. I had packed heavy before leaving Kentucky, so to have people that no longer had a home, living under tarps, to offer me what they had really hit my heart. My assignment was a community named "Diamond head" it must have been a wealthy area, as every home had an airstrip in the neighborhood and small airplanes. And guess who the first ones i caught looting those homes? A truck load from MY COUNTY FROM KENTUCKY! You can bet those boys caught pure hell from this Trooper.
Much love to the folks in Mississippi!
