Do they still do the vintage bicycle race at lunch time? I remember over taking people on the grass at the start, leading almost the whole way but getting pipped at the post! It wasn't the whole hill, the finish was between the 1st and 2nd hair pins. Great fun, I did it on a butcher's bike, big basket and everything!
@@Da51lva No sorry I meant the VSCC used to run a bicycle race at lunch time. Completely informal but on pedal bikes. It was hilarious. VSCC also used to run an annual bicycle ride round the 1920s Boulogne Grand Prix circuit which was 21 miles all on public roads, that was also very entertaining and had a picnic lunch on a village green, where someone taught me to ride a penny farthing, great fun.
now that Im retired I would like to build a racer. Where can I get build prints and parts at ? Spent my life as a welder, and was a structural repair specialist in the air force.
Raymond Ashby I think that will be correct as at the moment they are cancelling all sorts of things like this. Hopefully the world will be sorted soon but heard on the radio by a doctor that this can last up to 18 months. Take care and protect yourselves
