Now it's your chance to go out there and bust a psychic.
My grieving grandmother fell prey to this guy because of his show, and eventually paid to go get a reading from him . She was so excited and bought into it 100%, and to be honest , even as a skeptic, I was so excited for her that I did too. Shortly after the reading she re read her passed husband’s obituary and it turns out he’d been listing off information down to the exact order in which it was listed in the obituary . We were both furious, I’m sharing this video with her so she knows she’s not alone.
@@jesuspectre9883 That video is a classic example of cold reading. As for your relative, assuming the story was remembered correctly, reported to you accurately, and you are remembering correctly (which is fairly unlikely, given the limitations of human memory), so what? Lots of Americans have older relatives with dementia, and lots go to baseball games. Entirely unremarkable. Guessing high-probability things like that is a form of cold-reading (sometimes referred to as 'warm reading').
Aah, that's just because of all the negative energy coming from us... and bad vibrations... and.. stuff... and.. quantum somethings... somethings.. and...
Last year a British comic news show had found an actual newspaper article stating “psychic conference cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.” Now that was a laugh.
Virgil Blue... 😄😄 that's a good one. I saw a guy online that was filming himself with his phone walking down a sidewalk & wanted to conduct an experiment. He casually walks over to a psychic reading shop, who had their doors open & a few psychics inside just casually sitting there. He walks up to the door & screams loudly... "BOO"!! The two psychic's scream in shock & say "What the hell is wrong with you"?... & he replied "Bet you guys didn't see that coming, did you"?... 😂😂
I once went to a psychic fair. I gave them a picture of a friend of mine from college whom I had not heard from in twenty years. Every psychic said he was murdered, except one, who said he drowned. A couple of months later, I heard from him! He was alive, well, and living three hours away.
Which is one reason churches/temples/synagogues/mosques should be required to have the same sort of disclaimers outside their buildings as the disclaimers they have for psychic phone lines: "these services are provided for entertainment purposes only. no one under 18 is allowed to use these services... etc etc etc"
Or in my case, allowing me peace as he connected with my father, had I not have had a reading with Thomas John.... well let's just say that it helped to heal my grieving process and really lifted me out of my deep depression. We all have different opinions 'and that's how it should be, but I want everyone to know who reads this. My opinion is from FIRST HAND experience.
@@jesuspectre9883 OMG Do you really think he needs to do a Facebook search on EVERYONE he reads? A lot of the people in that room during the session I attended were REPEATS people who had already had a reading with him. DUH. That is called HOT-READING look it up. Here let me help you. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_reading Why do you think he is memorizing these things. You can't think of one way he could get information from one place to another without psychic abilities. Maybe something that happens in real time? Think about it. As I said, the burden of proof is on the person making the claim. He says he is talking to dead people. Okay show us how that is even possible. And when we show how it is done with a Internet search, then use Occam's Razor, what is more likely?

Can't stand the smirking James Van Praagh. Remember seeing him in a episode of Dr Phil doing readings on the public. Right there and then Dr Phil show lost all credibility
Fascinating. Wait, what did he say there at the end? "I don't go on anyone's Facebook page." Didn't you just get caught using fake details put on fake Facebook pages by fake believers? Are you the Facebook psychic? You just sense what's on people's Facebook page then?
@@jesuspectre9883 Okay, so what are you saying now? You think he's a genuine psychic that picked up on fake Facebook "energy" even though they didn't know what's on it? If that's true, what good is it? Maybe psychics really do pick up on random energies from random places. If he can't tell me specific information that no one should know, like what's written on a closed envelope, than how can we know if what he's saying has any accuracy to it at all? So many psychics have been caught in blatant lies or even overheard talking about how they fake it. So many psychics have been tested by James Randi. Why does it always seem like their powers go away right when they need it the most? Why is it that not one psychic ever was able to perform better than random chance in a controlled scientific setting? It just happens so often to so many people. And I believe some of them even believe it themselves. But when it comes down to it, there's never anything there. There's always some reasonable explanation. Then you want me to watch an hour long video? Can't you just summarize it for me? What could possibly be on this hour long video that's so important? A psychic that knows something he or she shouldn't be able to know? If that's it, how can you know what he or she knows? Maybe they got together beforehand to make a particularly compelling video... I mean, it's at least possible. If you really want me to believe that psychic ability is an actual phenomenon, it's got to be done under controlled scientific conditions. Can I recommend that you at least just look at the other side of the story. You can watch people like Derren Brown who shows you how some of the tricks are done. Or, you can watch James Randi doing his million dollar tests of all things paranormal. Here's one brief video of Mr. Randi testing some psychics. ruclips.net/video/joADD7jWqa4/видео.html You don't have to watch it of course but you did ask me to watch an hour long video. I can't do it tonight. I get up early. I'll watch it tomorrow if you really want me to.
@@jesuspectre9883 "What's so strange about this back and forth with you atheists is that you all sound like you're locked in some scientific laboratory somewhere on the North Pole, unable to make human contact with the outside world, and only able to see this video, and completely unable to do your own research, and completely unwilling to look at the mountains of other data." Unwilling to look at the data? Is that a joke? You completely ignored what I wrote and attacked me for doing what you're guilty of. And what does it matter what I "sound like"? I fail to see any relevance there. Did you look at the only experiments ever that tests psychics under controlled scientific conditions that I linked to you? "You're unable to even consider doing a general survey of popular respected psychics, and develop a simple, rational test to determine the nature of their comments." But then you start talking about something else. A general survey? Do you mean that I should watch a bunch of psychics do their cold reading and determine from that if they're genuine? I already talked about this. It needs to be done under controlled scientific conditions. There are too many variables going on. How could I ever determine the accuracy of their readings like that? The video I linked to you shows you psychics being tested. And I gave other examples of psychics failing. I never even mentioned the "prank" in this video. This is hypocrisy. "Have you researched some of the comments below the Thomas John Windy City Live appearance video (link below)? One of the people commenting is the person who was read-- the son of the father who died and whom he got a tattoo for. His name is Jason Campbell in Chicago, and just try to access his Facebook page without permission!" What were the controls in this experiment? How could you possibly speak to its accuracy? So, they supposedly didn't have access to his Facebook. Therefore they must have had no way of knowing anything about him. Must have been magic then... Is that really the extent of what you're willing to consider evidence? So, so far you've failed to even reference anything I said while simultaneously attacking me for being unthorough. You accused me of being angry when your own words IN THAT SAME SENTENCE betray your own anger. Where are my angry words? Clearly you're emotions are clouding your reasoning. And on top of all of that, you never even really tried to demonstrate, in any meaningful way, the truth of what you assert. You want me to watch some psychic readings, like that's going to prove something. The picture is clear. You believe what you want to believe based on feelings and you refuse to even look at the other side of the story. So then why bring me into this? Go believe in whatever you want. Go believe in David Icke's lizard men if that's what you want. But you're never going to convince anyone else unless you have some hard evidence. Like the kind I showed you. You just don't want to look at that because that might prove you wrong and you could never be wrong. I'm sorry but I do not accept your standards of evidence. And even though my standards are much less forgiving and more rigorous, you're afraid to even consider that because you have what neuro scientists call "belief perseverance". Look it up. Or don't. I don't care.
@@jesuspectre9883 Yeah, you're right. Wearing an earpiece is way more unbelievable than magic. For the third time, I never even spoke about the events of this video so I don't know why you're talking about it. I guess you just want to respond to the voices in your head. So, fine. The floor is yours. Go ahead and tell everyone why you think magic exists.
You know, most of the times when this thing is done for real and not for fun, it's the spirits who engage the contact. Imagine getting touched when no one is around you or your hair being pulled down with force when there's no one behind you. Or things moving on their own, getting off the shelves. Not mentioning the encounters with entities ... nope you wouldn't even want that to happen to you, trust me
I went to a medium one time and he picked up on my friend John. He told me exactly what we did before he died. He got name, age, and appearance, right. @Annemarie D The reason the Bible tells you not to go to soothsayers and mediums is because the people that wrote the bible only want people following the advice from their charlatans. The Bible is as much a con job as Psychics. I think psychics are more dangerous than Christianity but both lead to people making bad life decisions based on false information
Annemarie D I've been studying this stuff for 2 decades. If you do your research as to how the bible was formed, about how most of the new testement incompatable with the original hebrew old testement then you will know without question that the Christian Bible in particular the writings of paul are the biggest con job in the history of man.
My wife at the time along with our daughter and wife's parents went to Niagara Falls. On the Canadian side my daughter and I were walking around when daughter saw a store front for a "psychic" which included palm reading. Well daughter wanted to try and me telling her it was a scam carried no weight. So in we go, daughter gets her palm read, I stand there watching and we leave when it is done.. Outside my daughter is telling me how the "psychic" got so much right. I then told my daughter that she gave the answers to the "psychic" before and during the reading and did not know it. To prove my point, I asked my daughter to tell me the questions the "psychic" asked her. So my daughter started repeating the questions then it dawned on her that she did give the "psychic" all the answers from the beginning. My daughter was about 12 at the time and the "reading" cost $20. That was $20 spent to teach my daughter to pay better attention to psychic claims and "psychics" are nothing more than scammers.
Thanks for this video, Thomas. I actually considered becoming a "psychic." I have the know-how, but my moral compass simply won't let me go there. Love the documentary style!
What? You don’t just “become a psychic”.. a lot of people fake it for money or attention (if that’s what you mean) and it’s terrible. There are people who can predict things but it’s moreso random things that they can’t control. I’m basically a skeptic about anyone except myself because I hate experiencing premonitions and wish to be normal. So people who monetize it makes me angry.
I've thought of what it takes, and how you build up to that confidence, "game". They have to be pretty quick on their feet and look successful. John Edwards is like a "barker" at a carnival or a guy at the fair selling huckster, style, blenders that do it all... charisma and a billion words. If you're quick on your feet, what the hell? Do it!! I wish I could. Do like @OneFabFisher (below) suggested. Get in with a few and expose.
You can still become a mentalist--impress people with your reading skills and give them that "eerie" feeling, all the while being open about it just being a trick.
You know, I actually believe him when he says he didn’t read anyone’s Facebook page. He’s big enough that someone on his staff probably did and printed off relevant notes.

As far as psychics assisting police investigations.... I live near the city of Cleveland, Ohio. I recall how years ago (Is her name...) Sylvia Brown(?) gave a reading about the girls whom were missing from the city. She told the one family (if I recall correctly) that it was needless /useless to search for the teenage girl any longer... She "saw" that the girl was dead now. It was then a few years later though that those young ladies all escaped from the home of the horrid man who held them captive for years, abusing all of them in awful ways... I cried tears of joy that day when I heard the news that the girls had finally been discovered and released from their imprisonment. :')
Don't feel dumb at all. I've been doing this for years and so I know what to look for. The average person has better things to do with their time. Just tell a friend now that you know
Some people do have gifts and abilities that others can't explain. Just because someone has been able to tap into those gifts, doesn't make every single one a fraud. I swear, so many people in Sedona do this. I love this area because it is so beautiful and the nature is just mind-blowing, but literally everyone and their mom claims to be a psychic here... and everything they say is so general. There's a problem with that, some psychics/mediums actually use being exposed as fake as a sort of badge of honour, their supporters are so dumb they actually fall for it and it results in support for the medium/psychic actually increasing especially if they're not a well known one.

Fascinating. Wait, what did he say there at the end? "I don't go on anyone's Facebook page." Didn't you just get caught using fake details put on fake Facebook pages by fake believers? Are you the Facebook psychic? You just sense what's on people's Facebook page then?
It's possible that "he" didn't go on the Facebook pages.
@@sgerbic Well, I suppose that's technically true. Lol.
@@jesuspectre9883 "What's so strange about this back and forth with you atheists is that you all sound like you're locked in some scientific laboratory somewhere on the North Pole, unable to make human contact with the outside world, and only able to see this video, and completely unable to do your own research, and completely unwilling to look at the mountains of other data."
Unwilling to look at the data? Is that a joke? You completely ignored what I wrote and attacked me for doing what you're guilty of. And what does it matter what I "sound like"? I fail to see any relevance there. Did you look at the only experiments ever that tests psychics under controlled scientific conditions that I linked to you?
"You're unable to even consider doing a general survey of popular respected psychics, and develop a simple, rational test to determine the nature of their comments."
But then you start talking about something else.
His name is Jason Campbell in Chicago, and just try to access his Facebook page without permission!"
What were the controls in this experiment?

As a mentalist/magician I commend you on your work here. It makes me so sick that people take advantage of people’s emotions and give people the impression that they are somehow superior with special gifts that others almost worship them. It’s disgusting.
thank you. Mark Edward is also a mentalist and he would agree with you
That is exactly the way I feel about God. But the belief in something bigger than yourself puts so many people at ease.
If you can bring people comfort, then let them have their illusions. We allow religion.
Same diff
Wow this was so interesting. So glad I clicked
When I saw that guys show as an uber driver I was sold..this is eye opening
I got a psychic ad. Lol
I watch so many athiesm and anti-mlm videos that I'm getting ads for Christian colleges and essential oils. I find the irony hilarious.
It's not like it's a coincidence. Our computers are being used to spy on our searches and show related ads. I chewed out my cat for peeing on my rosemary and when I came back to the computer a freaking adult diaper ad popped up. There's been too many times ads showed that were related to conversations I had with people at home too. It was clear the microphone AND the camera were used against me even though I had not used them for several days. I've turned off currtana only to have the bitch keep spying. When I checked the settings the computer admitted that cortana is NEVER off, no matter what you do with the settings. There ya have it people, we don't even have complete control of our own, personal devices.
I myself have had so many clairvoyant experiences, n I don’t feel comfortable sharing bc ppl like this ruin it…i can’t believe someone would lie about this stuff 😟
Lets do a reading about this together
Dont believe these sceptics ,they are not telling the whole truth ! 🤣
Same. Some people just say it's all nonsense because they don't feel it or have had personal experiences.
Yeah bcuz of those actors and frauders the real ones are forced to stay in shadow and not let anyone know about them
You'll never eliminate opportunists as long as there are desperate people that are hurting and want to believe. There is a demand, so there will always be a supply.
Double bladed axes and a determined group can RID the country of criminal frauds called psychics very quickly or at least just start removing chunks of them till they follow
great video. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Canada
Thank you for doing this video. These people are nothing more than grifters, fleecing innocent and gullible people out of their life savings. It's wrong and should be a criminal offence.
I feel so dumb. I thought Thomas John was legit after watching his show. 😭
Don't feel dumb at all. I've been doing this for years and so I know what to look for. The average person has better things to do with their time. Just tell a friend now that you know
he is legit .. ive got pictures of ghosts visiting me .dont believe the hounds all the time .
Some people do have gifts and abilities that others can't explain. Just because someone has been able to tap into those gifts, doesn't make every single one a fraud.
I cometely get where y'all are coming from, there are con artists and frauds out there. But saying every person that has some sort of psychic\mediumship ability is a fraud because some are, is like saying all men are absusers, just because of some.
Or all kids are bad, because we all know 1 that we can't stand to be around..
It's great to have a healthy skepticism, but when your desire to prove everyone else wrong means you keep yourself blind to any other ideas...
Well, then in my humble opinion, that's crossing into the same type of behavior that this channel predominantly calls out.
Just my opinion.. and a thought to consider.
@@aprils5881 Listen, there's a big difference between someone who has some form of psychic ability and a lying cheating bastard who cons people out of their money while pretending to be a psychic
...mainly because of how the psychic abilities are so useless and groan-worthy having to deal with that you couldn't make money off of it even if you tried, as an individual who had chronic deja reves throughout my childhood - I could find out I would be having toast for breakfast while watching news about the annual duck fashion show about 2 years and 5 months in the future through my dreams (because that's how Deja Reves work) and the only way I knew it would be nearly 2 1/2 years away is I'd remember having that dream literally 5 seconds before the toast sits infront of me ready to eat while watching a specific part of the video with an adorable duck up close in nicely dressed attire
point is, you're not gonna see people with any level of psychic capability anywhere near a stage saying they can talk with your dead loved ones
@@aprils5881 yes some people have that gift but it doesnt work like that. U cant see the “energie”. U only see pictures coming in. People with that kind of gift will never ask for money.
Thank you so much for this series I love watching and rewatching. These vultures need to be exposed thanks for all your hard work. Really happy subscriber here!
Thank you for this, very happy I found it! I had an e-mail back from him & was ready to book. It breaks my heart , I wanted to connect with my daughter. How can people do this & live with themselves!? ....Well done thank you
Love it. That ending animation was absolutely amazing
"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it."
Great video, thank you for sharing.
The real depressing part is, you can do this as many times as you want and show how these liars work, but there will always still people too desperate, too gullible, these frauds can prey on :-(
I feel like this is indisputable proof. Every single thing he said was off the fake Facebook pages from
He twin brother, his cause of death, the ‘husbands ‘ father, his condition and all the names come on people!!
Yup. They'll say "just because you can fake something doesn't mean he's faking it." Some people seem to have a need to believe the bullshit of conmen because it makes them feel good.
@@debbie5654 It's proof in this situation. But doesn't prove that psychic ability doesn't exist.
I swear, so many people in Sedona do this. I love this area because it is so beautiful and the nature is just mind-blowing, but literally everyone and their mom claims to be a psychic here... and everything they say is so general. Being an atheist/skeptic goth in hippie town is an interesting experience.
Hey! I'm an atheist in Flagstaff! I go to Sedona sometimes. Wanna go have coffee?
1:09 the painting of a man in black... anyone know who made it or name of portrait
These predators prey on the weak and spiritually void people and it’s disgusting. I’ve always known this was a sham but when my mom passed away even I started watching the Long Island Medium because I just wanted to hope that there was some way I could be close to my mom again. Of course that was during my extreme grief and I was vulnerable. When I emerged from my grief I understand how easily people can get sucked into this. I believe in God and that Truth is what saved me from getting sucked into the psychic scam.
Clicking on this video, the first ad was to a psychic
This was an awesome experiment by those two skeptics. They should cover more psychics and then publish a journal article on it. Their methods and meticulousness alone are good examples of how to approach these kind of problems.
I now have a RUclips channel that does just this. Thank you for asking it's called @PsychicsExplained I break down the readings in detail so people can understand
There's a problem with that, some psychics/mediums actually use being exposed as fake as a sort of badge of honour, their supporters are so dumb they actually fall for it and it results in support for the medium/psychic actually increasing especially if they're not a well known one. There's an old saying, "there's no such thing as bad publicity" certainly that's true for many of these scammers.
I fell for seatbelt psuchic and that how I did a search for him and found you video. Paid actors, damn, that’s cold. So glad I found your video!
I have a whole serious on psychics and the tricks they use. They're taking advantage of vulnerable people. Thanks for leaving this comment.
It is psychic, learn to spell.
Ingrid Dubbel EXCUUUUUUSE ME. I hit the wrong key (y is next to U on the keyboard). Didn’t mean to trigger you! Take a chill pill and relax. You didn’t say a word about Holly K misspelling series (serious) in her remark, just above, 3 weeks ago. Anyone with half a brain can see that I hit the wrong key. And yes, I stretched “excuse” out to make a point. You must be one of those fake PSYCHICS!!! Get a life. Buy bye
@@bebeveritas7306 People who correct spelling on RUclips comments drives me nuts. Misspell all you want. Thanks for your comment.
@@ingriddubbel8468 those are two separate thoughts, so there should be a period after psychic, not a coma. Also, " it is psychic"is not the proper way to explain the word is spelled wrong, you're just stating a fact about something being psychic, which is an incorrect way to say "you spelled psychic incorrectly". Learn proper sentence structure.
Sorry, but I love to point these things out to grammar Natzi's who are wrong themselves
These psychics never stand up parapsychology in general. They never say “spiritualism is real and you too can communicate with the dead.” It’s always “I’m just so amazing that I can do it.” They’re not defending some general belief or religious principle. They’re just narcissists and it’s always a joy to see them humiliated.
Loved this documentary, good information.
My mother (when she was alive) followed John Edward like his shadow... Ironically, a good friend of mine works PT as a professional Mentalist; he tried to show my mom what Edward was doing, but she never believed him...
Hannah Cwik a lot of people want to believe, it does after all affirm Christianity (even for people who don't actually identify as Christian, we grow up surrounded by it.) It's too much for a lot of people to contemplate that it's very likely that when you die you die, nothing more.
Yikes - John Edward is such a douche
I really loved this video!!!
Thanks! :)
Wow, I can not say THANK YOU enough, an awful lot of time and hard work went into catching these charlatans. These so called psychics need to be stopped, using the evidence of their deceptions, they should be arrested and taken to court. So many have been hurt by these monsters, its abuse plain and simple. Thank you for your work. Sending hugs from the UK. Diane xx🧡💛❤💜💙💚
Nice to see your face in a video for once... I like the new format, and love your channel!
Great video. Love what you are doing here. Ironically, interrupted by an advert for Tarot Card Readings!! 😂👍
I think you've found your niche. Keep doing these.
I saw Thomas John in Las Vegas last year. He was spot on during the first part of the evening but then he was not doing so well. Our group was so disappointed because he spent about 20 minutes on each person (who we all thought were plants in the audience) he was trying to read. If he was real he would have picked up on many others around him. Sad.
Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience. It is possible they were plants, or people who he had read for before or in my case, fake accounts that were gleaned beforehand. Or many other reasons. Go to the pinball museum instead, you will at least get what you came for. :-) Thanks for your comment
I really thought this guy was genuine...to do that to people and make them believe they are communicating with passed loved ones is the lowest of the low 😔
I know I'm new to the channel but PLEASE keep these coming...this is my favorite thing on earth..exposing fakes!!! And thieves and liars and all that jazz lol
Another beautiful video man, just really well done dude. Thank you...truly.
Let me be the first to say it... I'm seeing an Oscar in your future Tom.
He's gay?!
The ad before the video was for an astrologer promising to save your marriage, financial situation etc.
Targeted marketing at its best 😂
lol before this vid i got an ad for finding psychics
TJ: "It's like, the stupidest stuff, I mean..."
Me: 👏"Bravo, sir!👏Beautiful rebuttal! 👏How could I ever doubt such a reasonable and clever argument!" 👏
Great video! I’m a new fan, saw you on Talk Heathen, you were great!
