- Fran Fraschilla, international basketball expert, compares the American style of pick and roll with the international style and describes why the concept of having four perimeter players has led to more skill development within the international community. His clinic instruction on the screen and roll in this clip is a great tip to help your team score more points. This is useful for any college or high school coach looking to gain an advantage using the pick and roll offensive system.

I run this for my Midget(U15) boys community team who are not particularly gifted outside shooters. Its a solid platform vs Man2Man and creates a lot of mid-ranged and inside opportunities. You can also have the forwards slip (fake) the screens to the wing/guards and cut down and setup a low post-up opportunity. Getting miss-matches or lagging defenders is the objective... and you'll be surprised at how this motion opens-up the middle of the key.
Amazing Motion move. Thank U
Is this the main style college coaches r looking for
need this so bad!
if your going to ask a question ask after they run the drill a few times and to see how its run correctly not when they fuck it up after 3 tries and still don't get it.
Marty Loncar
will this work against a 2-3 zone?
Thanks for the question. This is man offense. We have videos on our website from Kevin Boyle that cover the 2-3 zone.
Nice!! Ill check it out.. though i tried running this as well versus a 2-3 zone defense.. seems to work as well..
Rommel Gomez Good to hear, thanks again. Best of luck!
Pick and roll ist most effective vs man2man defense. That said: every setup that introduces a lot of movement in to your offense can be effective against zone. In the case of 2-3 zone - it's weakness are the wings/perimeter foul line extended . So if you have good outside shooters this might be a way to create some open shots for them. Classic rolls and/or dribble penetration will be harder, because 2-3 covers the lane usually well. So unless the defenders are very aggressive and over commit or get confused by the quick motion and loose coordination , it will be hard to get to the rim with such plays.
geez this coach sure is a touchy-feely and no-space body-to-body kinda guy, you don't need to touch them or be that close to rubbing bodies with them.
Shout out cod 😂😂😂
