Hey Caleb and Will. Really liking the channel. For several years, my mother and I did a breeding bird survey in Allegan State Game area, with a focus on Ceruleans. We did two separate grids - along 118th Ave and along 46th St. We normally got 8-10 singing males along the 118th Ave section, concentrated on the north end of Swan Creek. There were also reliable birds on the west side of Swan Creek off of 46th. Ely campground, which was not part of our survey area, was always reliable for Ceruleans as well, along with nesting Blackburnians and Hoodeds. So excited to hear you talk about this area. It is a great birding spot. We spent many spring/summer days at Allegan State Game. I ran into your friend Rick there once, and he directed me to a worm-eating warbler, which was a lifer for me. It is great to hear about the number of Cerulean Warblers you recorded.
