Always lovely to see all you knitting but the star of the show has got to be the shawl! It is so beautiful and you are right to be extremely proud of it! Well done. I’m keeping all my KAL socks in a box to bring out new next year too, which is a great idea! X
A lot of finished projects. Firstly the draw for the sock thingie you are running. Your completed socks are gorgeous as well as the blue socks. The Steven West Shawl is beautiful the new cast on's and your lovely knitting are very inspirational ❤😊
Hi Amanda, your Glittering Snowscape shawl is absolutely stunning, love the colours. I have the pattern but haven't got around to doing it yet. I love all your makes. I'm glad you mentioned your Advent , I was about to message you to see if you were doing one this year. I had one two years ago, The Nutcracker three and I really liked the yarn, I made the same wrap as you. I go to Slimming World at tge moment too, need to shift a few pounds. Goid luck with your weight loss. It was fantastic seeing the Lama, you are doing great with the shows. Thanks again Amanda, take care xx
When I pick up an old WIP that’s been on the needles months? Years? I tink back a couple of rows and then restart from there. Seems to help with the demarcation lines. Another enjoyable podcast, Amanda.
I absolutely love your shawl, yes you can blow your own trumpet over it, well deserved. Now I really want to make it, but as we’re 2/3 of the way through autumn, and I’m sitting here in a sleeveless dress with the a/c blasting out, I know I’d never wear it. Totally agree with you about postage overseas. I’d love to support overseas dyers, but I can use that money for another skein if I buy in Australia. Which I suppose is a good thing that I support local. We have some really good ones too, Fiberlily, Naturalfibers and rainbow and sprinkles to mention just a few. I’m always happy to see a new podcast out from you. 😁
I also was a Canadian Kal winner and completely agree about the expensive postage. So very unfortunate as I want to purchase all the pretties I see. Still so much in love with your glittering snowscapes shawl 💜💜💜
@@littlelikac621 Yes, but it isn't just that. I like seeing the colours of colourful sock yarns play out in stocking stitch. A vanilla sock seems prettier when scrappy to. Plus there's no need to be worried a pattern might affect fit or have an uncomfortable stitch in it. Plus if the sock does get a hole it is usually easier to darn and sometimes prettier for the darn on top of the basic stitches.
Lovely shawl. I like to have a few baby items just in case and they usually get gifted. I have just started a knitted blanket using some yarn from Temu. I only bought it to see what it would be like and it is so soft. xx
Hi Amanda, your purple fade shawl is fantabulous. It is truly stun ing! Oh wow! 💜 I know what could mean about weight! I really try and my diet is mostly fresh fruit veg and meat, but just can't get it moving! So annoying. As I'm disabled jogging or the like isn't even an option. But I'll keep trying. Be easier if we could actually have some nice weather! Managed to finish a pair of socks I need to add to your April socksy thread. Love the cute sheep yarn holder. Great idea. Daughter has her driving test tomorrow. She's so chilled and I'm so proud of her. My husband and her had bad accident when she was in her last year of school. So it's taken her a while, she's 34, to get the confidence and the bottle to do it. But a growing family and lots of wet cold feet gave her the final push. Fingers crossed. Have a lovely May. Take care xxJane 🐑🌼
Being one of your Canadian KAL winners, I completely understand the postage issue. I wonder if you thought of giving a gift card to your Etsy shop. I would welcome that given our low Canadian dollar.

My favourite socks are nearly always scrappy or self-striping vanilla socks.
They knit up so quickly, don’t they?

I try to avoid Temu but some of it is very tempting.

Thank you! I hope it went well for your daughter. 💜
She passed and drove to work on her own this morning.
So proud of her. xxJane

Unfortunately I can’t do a voucher just for my shop. Plus Etsy take a percentage of everything. Thanks for the idea though.
