Thanks for the feedback, actually looking forward to bringing her back to life, getting her re-registered and doing a couple of "adventures" with it! Cheers DFI
With the clutch driving became better. I think the back tank is damage and that's why the engine is stopping. I am a big fan for you bro and I like your videos keep going bro. 👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤
Thanks mate, I appreciate the support!! I'm thinking once I get the datto running properly, I will register it and take it on some beach 4WD tracks ... she's only 2WD but they are so light people will be surprised at where this old girl will go!! Cheers DFI
oh my God Drew. You did The impossible.i can believe the engine is running after 20 yers😱😱.but you didn't man .I like the new carburetor that will give the engine more power .and moving faster. #she is alive. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. .
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm looking forward to getting the clutch and brakes fixed ... then I will go do some beach 4WD tracks with it, I can't wait to show you guys what these old 2WD dattos can do on 4WD tracks!!! Cheers DFI
Great achievement DrewFixIt, I reckon you work towards making the Datsun 1500 road worthy with the view to make an Australian transcontinental crossing. Cement it in Aussie legend.
@@DrewFixIt with you at the helm I’m confident it would make it all the way! Let me know if I can be of any assistance to get some aerial shots of your work.
@@DronologyAustralia I'm actually thinking we should get it running reasonably well (fuel, clutch and brakes a must), get it registered and do some coastal 4WD tracks locally first. What do you think? Are you interested in filming some aerial shots if I do this? DFI
I been searching to see a radiator like yours. My father bought a Datsun that has the same radiator. He is in El Salvador and I’m in the US. I can’t find the radiator because over here they are very different. Anyways good luck on your restoration.
Hi Deezy, thanks for the feedback! I am genuinely going to pull the wrenches out later this week on the Datto, so I if you’re interested look out for the update!! In the meantime I have a playlist with a few videos of the Datto that you might be interested in: ruclips.net/p/PLor5qdyoV_nQLAki_zI0la0bSAVi6ao95 Cheers Drew
Thankyou for the suggestion, I was wondering the same thning myself. Perhaps I will do some diagnosis to see exactly where the problem is in a future video before just purchasing a new fuel pump!
This reminds me, I need to change the oil in my 620. Its 21 years old. Love these videos!
You can do it! More datto videos planned and coming soon!! Cheers Drew
Wow what a fantastic video from DrewFixIt! I can't wait to see where you take the restoration of this Datto masterpiece next!

I suspect the fuel strainer in the tank may have clogged during the doughnuts.

One question. My 1977 Datsun truck I had had the oil filter on the bottom side of the engine. How does this one have an oil filter on the top?
Hi Dan, to be honest I have no idea, however you can clearly see in the video this is where this one is! Cheers Drew
