@@Rowey you can try both and see the difference is what I mean. It depends on the computer of course, and many other settings/factors in OBS play a big role in your streaming and recording quality.
@@Rowey Of course it's true, it all depends on your hardware, if a person has a stronger gpu, they would certainly use nvenc, if they have a stronger cpu they would use x264, and this also varies depending on the game, if you are playing a Cod or CS , the ideal is to use the gpu for live, and if you are playing a heavy game on the gpu like red dead 2 or gow, it is better to do live with the cpu
Hi! I have a problem with my computer. I always have skipped/dropped frames, even after I did all of this! I play Roblox, and I have a go computer. What do you recommend?
Hi! I would suggest you check out this playlist that contains even more tips to lag less ruclips.net/p/PL7HQaut6TkKESzDsRLsy-NwwLsGPXkVj-&si=SImltooEB2h6A31P - it can also be found at my channel page, playlists, and “Lag Less On OBS Studio”. Let me know if it does not help :)
Just try it out, if it still makes your game lag when processor becomes a bottleneck, use an HDMI capture card to capture your game to an extra computer, specifically for streaming.
i have a radeon RX 580 series 8 GB but on OBS i only see 3 options AMD HW H.265 (HEVC) and AMD HW H.264 (AVC) and the last one is x264? which one should i use and which one is my GPU?
So i reacently I got amd graphic and couldnt start my obs stream bcs of amd encoder or my driver is not up to date. I watched your video and maybe i can change to x264 and it might work. So what i did was change to x264 clicked save then back to amd encoder save again and it works now xDD.
❓Still lagging regardless of your encoder? I have many more videos about this, so subscribe!
Pro Tip: "Try one, if it doesn't work, use the other"
It's true tho!👌
@@Starix_Gaming nope.

my gpu gt1030 but theres no option to use gpu for encode. i want my gpu to encode my video on obs.please help me
Unfortunately your GPU does not have an encoder and you will have to go with your CPU, hope it will turn out fine either way.
@@Starix_Gaming aight tq for the info. I'll saving to buy higher gpu.
Bro if you have intel cpu then use intel jd graphics😊
What if i have av1? I have a 4050 laptop
Use AV1 👍
@@Starix_Gaming i get that but what do i put as bitrate now idn shits confusing intervals bitrates all this shit i just wana stream 🤣
I HAVE NVEDIA 1030 BUT I DON`T SEE NVIADA OPTATION ..
Unfortunately the 1030 does not support the Nvenc encoder. I think from 1050 and newer they do.
Ok bro
