Thanks for sharing this! I picked up a rerpo large RR clock at a yard sale and the movement didn't work. I thought it would be easy to repalce the quartz movement, but I found that the hands on my clock (7.5" min hand) were too small. I was going to try to reorder, but I found that suppliers didn't list the diameter of the movement shaft or hand hole. After watching your video, I decided to try to file the hand hole and see if I can make it work. It's annoying that they don't cite those specs. Thanks again for sharing your expertise!
Hi, thanks for your video. I have a question I'm interested in making custom art wall clocks. I would like to be able to use the Torquetex movement you were using in the video, I did notice however there issues fitting hands on it. I'm wondering if you figured out a way to decypher which hands would fit this movement properly or not? If not, I noticed you mentioned you get hands from another supply house. Any info would be most appreciated. Thanks, Brandon
Hi Carl! I am just getting into the clock making business and was kind of hoping you could help a fellow clock maker out by sharing the name of one of the large suppliers "trade secret" I am particularly interested in specialty hands... very tired of the cookie cutter variety...
Hi Carl, Do you have a recommendation for a high torque clock movement that works better? I have had the same issue with the KlockIt high torque movement and the long hands. Do you have a contact number?

You should cut down the initial lecture and get to the DIY directly.
The presenter mentions "...trade secrets..." and the hands didn't fit, okay. Nothing helpful here. Waste of time.
No patience, no clockmaker... sit down and watch the whole vid!!! Have a Great Day!!! KS
