    The main difference between Brady and Prescott is between the ears. It’s not just big game performance. Dak held out for an extra $5M. Brady always understood win-win, and negotiated his contracts to help the team acquire and maintain the players they needed to succeed.

    • @XitwitchX
      @XitwitchX 10 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately that kind of decision just seems too risky for most players in a sport like football. Tom’s decision to be massively underpaid contributed hugely to the continued success of the Patriots dynasty but it’s rarely discussed because it feels wrong for the media to say a player should make a personal sacrifice for the betterment of the team because of how often teams handle players in ways that suggest they don’t really care about them personally. Basically trams treat players like employees instead of family and so players are now doing the same but in reality if you want long term success it helps to have mutual respect and understanding like Tom clearly had in New England

    I fully believe Rodgers was holding the Packers back. He was incredible as an individual player (regular season anyway), but he was playing to be MVP, not to take the team to the SB. He didn't buy into LaFleur's offense so it didn't work. He didn't want to be the old guy in the locker room where he didn't/couldn't/wouldn't trust his young receivers.

    - Dak did not reach his ceiling. He's over his ceiling. I didn't expected him to play as good as he did this regular season, but he's not mentally strong enough to deal with elimination rounds. "Hey, you have to win this game RIGHT NOW" - he crumbles.
    - McDaniels is king in Miami. He's just too green of a coach and he has a QB that's also too green. Stuff will click the next few seasons.
    - Rasheed Rice is the best thing the chiefs have. Don't mean he's great. But with mahomes throwing to him... who knows? He can get 1k probably. Dolphins D at -30 is not a good parameter either.
    - the talent the Packers have to waste their franchise QB luck is uncanny. Having Rodgers there for as long as they did and not assembling a team for him like ever is crazy.
    - the Packers have a great team but we don't know how the Niners will play at the playoffs. Judging by the past performance of guys like Trent, Warner, Purdy and Kittle they still have a gear to engage. The lions will probably beat whoever goes there
    - coach of the year is for the season. But yeah, Demeco is in the mix. How about Dan??
    - the browns won't be able to find a trade partner for Watson. But they should keep Flacco.
