I’m a Vikings fan and I have to give it to the Lions. I’ll put the Eagles at second, as much as I hate to admit it. Saquon is the MVP in my opinion, but they’ll give it to a QB because reasons. 🙄
As a Lions fan, you’re right Saquon is the MVP and it also annoys me how they force it to a QB every year. Great example was last year, Lamar had no business winning MVP but they insisted on forcing it to a QB even tho he wasn’t that great last year.
It doesnt matter out of the QBs he was the clear best and also had a near perfect season. And to the next point saquan Barkley I like him and he is playing great but no one is playing at the level of Lamar Jackson has played this season. He has been the most valuable, dominant and unstoppable force on the field and is leading in every category. Lamar Jackson is by far leading in being the MVP and saquan Barkley not even close . Now you want to say best offensive player than that would be to me between Barkley and Derrick Henry. Because Henry is close and he has way less carries than barely. Barley gets damn near 30 carries a game . Derrick sometimes get 20 and sometimes 13 carries a game but he still close to Barkley in rushing yards and but also Derrick Henry has almost as many rushing yards as Barkley but Henry has more rushing Tds than Barkley by a lot .

Last week was the statement game. This week was just a matter of taking care of business. This wasn't even a flashy win and they still won by double digits. Anyway, we'll see who is who in the playoffs. Also it's such an amazing feeling to have a sportscaster say, "The Lions are the Lions," and have that be a positive remark.
As an Eagles fan, of course I'm gonna choose my Birds over the Lions. And in this comment section there are a ton of Lions fans saying Detroit is the better team, etc. and justifiably so. I don't care what any of these sports journalists or analysts have to say or prognosticate, we simply won't know until the 2 teams meet head to head on a football field. Now all things being equal, a neutral field would certainly be the best place to truly measure this out, but ultimately if they do meet it will either be in Detroit or at the Linc in Philly and I do think that matters immensely during a playoff game, especially an NFC Championship Game. But "any given sunday" matters, and it means that how the ball bounces, the weather, the refs, and God forbid injuries, all will play into a big meeting in the NFC Championship game if we get lucky enough to see it happen.

But the Lions have a single loss and I think the NFC tie-breaker, so I think the #1 seed remains Detroit's unless they finish a game behind Philly.
Yep. I’m a Lions fan but it only takes one bad game to send you to the golf course. Being a hockey fan first I enjoy the ‘luxury’ of best of seven. Football almost demands perfection every single game and that is unnerving for me. So I’m confident but measured with my rhetoric.

Lions Packers and Vikings are combined 24 - 3 when not playing each other. All three teams are each 8 - 1 against everyone else. NFC North is by far the best div NFL
Right now, Eagles looks great! They crushed a team that gave the Lions trouble in week 1. BUT… let’s not forget the wins that were closer than they ever should’ve been. New Orleans, Cleveland, Jacksonville. The Lions have only ever crushed bad teams. It’s hard to say who would win if they met right now, but the Lions are the more consistent team and the one with much less defined weaknesses
The nEagles are handicapped by having a coach who is a goof. The players love him, but he doesn't always put the team above his own ego. He passed by so many field goals this season for the purpose of going for it on 4th down.
Yeah and we destroyed the Jaguars 52-6 but the Eagles held on to beat then 28-23. Let's not forget now with only 3 pre-season games starters hardly get anytime letal9ne 1/2 the 3rd preseason game when there were 4 so week 1 isn't impressive for many teams.

I was there at the TB PHI playoff game last year when the entire Eagles team just quit and didn’t even show up. They feel good now when they’re winning but there’s proof that they will quit if it gets tough and it will.

@kq1337 Philadelphia beat Green Bay week 1 by a hair. Both teams were 0-0 Cincinnati sucks. The Commanders will probably finish .500 The Lions did not play any starters in preseason. They started the season out of sync. After they got tuned up. They blugened every team they faced. Their defence has lost many starters during the year. They have depth like no other team. The coaching staff made mistakes in the bucs game. The Houston Texans are the only team this year, that outplayed the Lions for a half. The majority of the teams the Lions have defeated are playoff teams. Two in their division Green Bay and Minnesota. Lions beat Houston and Seattle, both heading to the playoffs. The Lions play Buffalo in a couple of weeks. They still have to play Green Bay and Minnesota again, and SF. Basically the Lions have one of the hardest schedules. They’ve been losing them, and still keep dominating. Plus, they get half of those injured players back before the end of the season or right before the playoffs and will be fresh. Love what the Eagles are doing, but it’s Detroit.
Multiple injuries and still winning. Campbell said at the start of the season that they were built for depth because of potential injuries and that’s exactly what’s happening.
Lions are just a better team in General. Too many weapons at Jared Goff disposal. More than the Eagles do. Like Saquon needs a break and Gainwell is good and all but compared to Gibbs and Montgomery. Bruh that's the best RB DUo in the league. The drop off is not even noticeable. No drop off at all. And their receiving core might be a little better than the eagles. LOVE AB and Smitty but compared to the Lions trio. bruh
only advantage the lions have over the eagles is at QB.....that's it.... best WR is Amon and he doesn't have a 1000yds on the season, regardless if they have the best Duo in the league, Saquon is better than both Gibbs and Montgomery and it's no point in arguing, look at the numbers. Finally the only metric the lion defense is better than the Eagles is in scoring, Eagles defense is a far better unit than the lions
Bruh, you’re way off base. The Lions are good, the Eagles are good, better team in general? Bruh! I know it’s about time you have a team since 1995, but slow your roll bruh. Give flowers when deserved. The Eagles are a challenge for everyone!
Lions have an edge on offense. Eagles have an edge on defense. Whoever gets the 1 seed is going have the advantage in an NFC championship if comes to that.
Agaisnt the jags and colts - who have no offensive fire power whatsoever lol. The Bengals have the best passing attack in the NFL - got held to 17 at home , the rams who finally were healthy and destined for a playoff run / scored off two phantom penalties , and a garbage time td against backups . The eagles hold a win over the packers who have been red hot / and are right on the lions heels . The eagles shut down the best offense in nfl after 2 weeks that was averaging 46.6 ppg . They kicked 4 field goals . The lions schedule is ranked 13th easiest the eagles 8th easiest .. it’s not like the lions schedule have had any tough games lately - wait the Texans without Anderson and diggs . 5x the turnover the eagles have committed in 1 game vs the eagles last 7 weeks . Good win for sure but a great team would’ve controlled the clock and won that game by two scores . Texans have regressed . If the eagles go into Baltimore and win , then 2 weeks later beat the Steelers - they should win out easily with 4 of last 5 at home , and only the commanders game being against a winning team . Lions have packers, bears 2x , Vikings and bills left on the schedule . Outside of the bears who are playing very well albeit not winning games , those are all teams 1-2 games out of first place . Tell me outside of Sewell and Laporta , where does the Lions have an edge on their roster ? Gibbs and Montgomery combined vs saquan and hurts rushing ? Laughable St brown and Williams vs brown and Devonta smith ? 😂😂 Eagles and lions are most equal on the offensive line . I’d say they’re both very good teams but one is clear cut better on defense as a whole unit for an entire season , that is the biggest difference . The lions have had the same offensive coordinator for years / the eagles haven’t had the same coordinator for back to back seasons , sincd 22 . Lions are at their peak / Philly hasn’t shown you anything all season from the playbook other than they will wear you down and destroy you in the second half . No team is better in last two quarters of a game than the eagles . I wil say this . The lions can beat th eagles , and eagles can beat the lions. It will come down to which team is healthier and hotter when week 17 is over
The two top teams for now. With the Vikings and Packers nipping at their heels. Wouldnt be surprised if the Eagles finish with 1st seed, on account of Detroit's schedule, but I think these two teams meet in the NFC championship game.
The Eagles beat Deshaun watson's abominable browns 20-16. They beat a 4-7 Saints team 15-12. They lost to a middling Falcons team. They scored a whopping 6 points in the *entire first three quarters against a poor Commanders defense at home.* Detroit's point differential is *80 points* higher than Philly's🤡
Biggest difference for me ATM is the Lions have more serious injuries, and then the Lions schedule left over I believe is 6th hardest and Eagles is 4th easiest. Hoping for Eagles to lose to Ravens. If the Lions get through that and are still #1 seed, they have the clear edge and I don't think its close.
After 11 games, the Lions have the second-best scoring defense in the NFL at 16.6 points allowed per game, the second-best red-zone efficiency (60% of opponent's red zone drives end in no points or a field goal) and have generated 19 turnovers, sixth-best in the NFL. The defense is ballin

Guess we’ll find out in the playoffs.
The Lions have the most points for and second fewest against.
A realistic take. The Lions injuries concern me. Too much talent sitting on the shelf. Its the only thing I think that can slow this team down.
I’ve been an Eagles fan for over 35 years , if they don’t make it to the Superbowl and Detroit does I’ll be cheering for them.
There's a reason 2k yards as a RB is hard in the NFL.... you get wore down. Barkley ain't a spring chicken
I'll take the Lions running game over Philly. The wear & tear is spread over 2 equally dangerous guys compared to one.
LIONS. Saquon ain’t running all over our defense like other teams allow. Kelce is obviously biased.
Philly SoS (2.0) and 9-2 with PF 296- PA 199, Lions SoS 0.4 and 10-1 with PF 360- PA 183. A field goal away from having twice as many Points For then Points Against through week 11 is insane.
Vikings: give me a 9-2 record?
Scriptwriter: done
Vikings: best team ever!
Scriptwriter: best 3rd best team this year, yes
Vikings:.......wat?
As an independent here Chiefs fan, the Eagles are the far FAR more talented team at almost every position, especially on D, but the Lions have been playing slightly better as a "TEAM" In my opinion BOTH can be very good and this will likely be the NFCCG as Detroit/Philly head n shoulders best 2 in NFC
Here’s a simple way to answer this… besides the quarter backs, take away the MVP of each team… and which team is still top heavy
Philly
@ either you’re a Philly fan, trolling me, or don’t pay attention to football
@ def a Philly fan but I pay attention prob more than you do lol. Let’s just hope Philly plays them. And then all of this will be settled
Philly currently has the better oline, run game, receivers, TE, and Defense as a whole. Qbs damn near the same but I'm taking Jalen to win a big game over Goff any day of the week, so the Lions have a lot to prove being as tho they just became relevant last year and choked away the NFC Chip.
@@sob_meen I’ll give you receivers and maybe defense. Everything else is a no
Lions are winning the Super Bowl. You don’t have to like it, learn to live with it. Woooo!
Did Rich actually make a Deez nuts joke? My respect for him has just exponentially grown.
But that also means he thinks it's 1998 still, which is troublesome.
Its the Lions and it's not even close. Stop playing Rich.
🔥 You Are!🔥 What Your Record!🔥Says You Are.🔥❤️🙏🏾✌🏾
Lions Revenge Tour, coming to a city near you!
As an eagles fan, Lions are absolutely the best team in the nfl rn but as soon as they falter the eagles will be right there to take advantage
So we fought with the chiefs all year to earn the “best team in football” now all of a sudden the question is who’s better in the NFC… the hate the lions constantly get from analysts is unreal
What a great response
I respect Philly. I do. But Im fkn sorry, I got Detroit ALL day against ANYBODY. Including the Eagles. This team is a once in a lifetime kind of team. Literally creating NFL and Lions history. LFG LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We'll revisit this conversation when the Ravens get done with the Eagles next week 🥱
And the Lions vs Bills will be legendary
@@D_2387 I’ll be here jsut in case…
Oh dang, should be a good one to watch! 👌
The Ravens defense stinks. The Eagles will go over 150 on the ground and 200 in the air.
Holy cow, that might be like Ravens-49ers last year. A "heavyweight bout" that ends up being complete destruction.
Lions vs eagles for the NFC, I’m calling it
As an Eagles fan if we stay at the 2 seed in cool with that whoever coming into Philadelphia in January losing by 10 or more.
Lions are an offensive machine. Unstoppable!
