    I like your approach to pretty much going natural with the concrete, but if one wished they can paint or varnish it! 👍🏻

    Thank you so much for your expertise. I have been painting statues for years and that is exactly the brand of sealer I use. I was thrilled when you brought out that can of sealer. I thought, "I have been doing it right for years!!!!" Yea, Me!!!! Thank you so much.

    Just started watching you because I have a big heavy concrete statue that I want to repaint and fix cracks etc. I'm not talented at all so I've been reviewing for months. LOL. Anyway I love the frog you're showing. So cute.
    Thanks for all the information.

    I have a couple of large concrete statues outside. They had never been sealed or painted. A few years ago, when the landscaper was power washing the walk he also power washed them. As a result the surface coating is off in large areas and the tops are pitted.
    I just washed them with a bleach, water and dish soap solution to clean them and get rid of the algae. I am considering some kind of sealer - maybe with a greyish tint to cover the discoloration and pitting. Is there such a thing and is it a wise solution?

      Personally I would fill the pits with pure cement and water mixed to make a putty and then go over with a base coat of you’re desired color.

    Im trying to repaint an old concrete statue thats been really worn down. It looks like the previous owners spray painted it, the paint is barely there and highly cracked. There are two pits that have formed. Any tips???

    • @rubbermoldman8544

      Sand any of the loose paint spots, fill in the pits with a cement and water mixture (putty consistency) allow it to dry thoroughly and then from there your base coat and paint finish.

    I want to try resin(?)
    I painted over mine with acrylic paint. Do you think that could work? I'm super new and just experimenting....
    Any thoughts?

      My experience with sealing a statue with resin has been it discolors and usually cracks over time.

      @Rubber Mold Man thank you! I will try the spray that you talked about. I did paint mine with acrylic paint. I appreciate your experience!

    I’m struggling finding a latex rubber that is suitable I just spent so much time making a mold for personal use for family gifts and it curls up pretty bad I don’t care about price I just want something that works do you recommend and rubber or is that confidential rubber business tactic😂

      Our supplier only sells in 55 gallon drums and mixes to our specifications. But we do sell some in smaller quantities for personal use. Email us at rubbermoldman@gmail.com for details on sizes and pricing.

    What is the name of the spray paint you use

    • @rubbermoldman8544
      @rubbermoldman8544  Год назад +2

      I don’t use any specific brand just as long as it’s clear enamel spray.

    I love the look, what metallic paint did you use?

    • @rubbermoldman8544
      @rubbermoldman8544  Год назад +2

      I’m not brand specific, I use whatever is on sale or cheapest, as long as it’s exterior latex paint.
