I went into a salon yesterday without my curly hair styled. It was frizzy like yours was at first and he told me it was completely damaged and cut it all off. I can't believe I let him. He had such good reviews so I just assumed he knew what he was doing but... Curly hair just frizzes like that if you don't take those extra steps with it.
I find it interesting that stylists do not know hair types. I have been to four different stylists over the last year and a half and not one had heard of hair types. Apparently they don't teach that in beauty school.
Right! I noticed that too! If you look up "deva curl" certified stylists in your area you can hopefully find someone with a little extra knowledge on curls & curl types!
Going to a Black/African American salon also helps too. I’m Black but have a mixed daughter who has 2B-3A hair. We’re only able to get good results from stylists who can do my 4B hair.
Hair roughly growths about a centimetre (prob. around half an inch??) a month. So, you can determine from there :) Also depends on whether damage needs to be cut in between! My hair once was ear-length and I grew it out to around my butt (at least when I wear it straight lol). Took me about 5-6 years due to problems with damaged ends. Good luck on your growth journey!
@@williamhowerton744 It's always tricky with curly shrinkage too! My hair straight hits belly button but shrinks up 3-4 inches! It took me about 1.5 years to grow from chest area curly to the length in this video! Hope that helps for some reference ❤
when i don’t style it it still will curl, but the curls will dry kinda stringy & they are a lot less defined/ frizzy! I’ve always had curls but they REALLY changed the last year ❤
Wow your hair turned out beautiful!!
Wow…..You have gorgeous curls and beautiful hair! Enjoy your soothing music in the background. Don’t ever cut those marvelous curls💆🏻♀️🎶🎵💫✨🕊️
With baby hairs around the face.. good idea to check iron levels, both stored and those in the blood.

silicones also stifle hair growth
❤ Thank you!
yes of course 🥰
I have curly hair, perhaps 2c or 3a, a little past my shoulders. My goal is midback or waist length. How long might it take to reach those lengths?

What happens if you just dont do anything to your curly hair? Have you known about your curly all your life or did you just find out about it?
when i don’t style it it still will curl, but the curls will dry kinda stringy & they are a lot less defined/ frizzy! I’ve always had curls but they REALLY changed the last year ❤
1 hour your hair air dried that much? Takes my medium short hair like 3 hours
could be because of the porosity & hair thickness! mine is pretty regular/ low and pretty fine so it dries quicker!
