Very excited to follow this. I built and raced a 300K mile 1991 827SL with the 24 Hours of Lemons. It was shockingly reliable under such duress. Good luck with the trip!
Thanks for the good words! We recall pix of your car back in the day. Feel free to subscribe; we've moved on from the Sterlings but have some equally odd or orphaned cars in our newer adventures.
Johnboy! So glad you are doing this, and excited to see where the journey, for the series and this episode, take you. Your Pathfinder buddy and fellow traveler, JHM
I was service rep for a Honda dealer in CT that got a Sterling franchise when they came out. They were as bad as you say. People traded them in after a few months for an Accord.
Hey there! Coincidentally enough I too am named John and I also own a Sterling 827 SL! I’m located in Southern California. I would love to meet up with you guys should you find yourself back in California!
Cool car! And the development story is a little more complex than "basically a Honda/Acura with a British body" but oke. As if Honda would spend a lot of money in development and then give it away for someone else to take credit for. Does not ad up. Looks in very good condition! Looking forward to future videos!
I'm starting a Face Book Group for Sterling SL and SLi Owners. If anyone wants to help out ,let me know. How many restored, well kept or dilapidated Sterlings are out there ? What's anyones opinion.best Mike

I had an 827 SL back in 1998. It was a very nice car. Never really had issues with it
I finally got around to watching one of these videos and ended up binge-watching the entire set. Fun!
Hah! Thanks, Jeff. Do subscribe if you haven't already, we have more coming ...
