Alright guys so its early April, time to kickoff this years saltwater season! Early on in the season i like to check out some of LI's back bays for a shot at catching my first striper of the season. So i grabbed my light tackle gear, some new Heffty Fishing lures, and checked out some local spots. Good Spring fish. These poachers are out of hand. That night they stayed silent when I said hi I should of called DEC. Funny thing is when they were doing illegal stuff I walk back to my truck and cops are parked by me hawking me. Lmao wrong target.

I feel it works just as good as using a treble but causes less damage to the fishes mouth and easier to unhook from the fish

Using the red light at night is softer on the eyes when focused for dark, and studies have shown that the red light may not spook fish as much compared to the brighter white light.
Was there the night before this video. Rainy night and I crept behind a group of 4 poachers. Got on a sick bite and had to hide all of my fish. So sad to see the aftermath of what they left behind. And sorry for crashing the video at the end

Yeah I was there like three nights before and got to the point didn’t know anyone was around till I smelled cigarette smoke and saw a glow and then I said hi to them but the three of them stayed silent then I heard a fish on a string splashing around they got up and left. Illegally harvesting fish before the season.

@@jamesschlickoutdoors Really been putting my new ODM Evolution 2-8 to work on some decent bass in the area. Now that the new moon is shifting to the full moon, the bass have certainly continued their journey and started to spread out. Plenty of big girls still around though. Paulies girl just caught her 50 in the neighborhood so they are certainly not gone yet. Catch em up man tight lines!
I was by smithspoint this point no action at all but all the cocktail blues about a ft long kept coming up the beach seining all sideways I kept trying to put them back in revive but they just swim in a sideways circle then beach themselves again happened about 20 different fish by time I left they were all over the beach seagulls picking at them any ideas what can cause that ?
Wow thats crazy i wonder what was causing that. It's early in the season too. I usually don't see blues around till a lot closer to May.
