It would be cool if Infinity War omnibus gets a black spine with the image of the Magus wielding the gauntlet from the cover of issue #6 of the miniseries. It would fit Thanos wielding the Gauntlet in IG omnibus spine and Warlock wielding the gauntlet in this Infinity Crusade omnibus spine.

I wish they had "mapped out" the tie-in issues collected in Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity War. A real shame. Glad they did it in Infinity Crusade. I appreciate that it didn't matter to you as a kid, but now we have access to all the the crossover material so it would be logical to include it in the correct order. So thumbs up to Marvel for doing this for Infinity Crusade. I wonder how long we will have to wait to get collections that do the same for Gauntlet and War?
Well, they mapped out everything in Infinity Gauntlet Omnibus. The prologue, Thanos Quest and Infinity gauntlet miniseries. Then they leave all the tie ins in chonological order because they are not important to the main storyline. Good mapping.
They are doing the same with this book, everything important is mapped out(Infinity crusade, Warlock Chronicles and Infinity Watch) and then they leave all the tie-ins in chronological order. Good mapping.
Infinity War omnibus is another case. We get the 6 issue miniseries at the beginning of the book(leaving infinity Watch issues which were important) and then we get all the tie ins but not in chonological order. Terrible mapping.

I would have been so happy if they had a Direct Market version with a foil cover. Would be worth the extra $10+ just for the nostalgia. I wouldn't want this to be something they do for all omnis, but if the comic originally had that cover, I think it would be a great idea. And this is coming from someone that generally never buys alternate covers

The placement of his boots and legs is so weird! It almost looks like Sue Storm standing behind him actually has her leg inside that huge boot.
With this Omni non-existent and Gauntlet woefully out of print, I went the standard size Box-Set route.
I'll just hold the little books closer to my face to make up for the size difference.
So excited this is out! Adam Warlock is my favorite character and this brings back fond memories of searching out the issues at the local mom and pop pharmacy and 7-11.
Adam Warlock needs an Omnibus, collecting classic material(First appearance in FF, appearance in Thor series, Counter Earth Saga, Jim Starlin Run's, Jim Starlin's Marvel Two in One Annual and Avengers Annual where Adam "dies" and those issues from Marvel Two in One when The Thing, Starhawk and Her are trying to resurrect him.)
Thanks for explaining the context and appeal for the Infinity Crusade. It looks pretty cool (I dig the premise and art), but there’s way too much competition from other books for me to pick it up just yet.
I hope folks who want this get it.
Bro also see if David Gabriel would do deluxe editions of the Aftermath of Infinity gauntlet and Infinity War that would really tie the series together.

Omar, I love the genuine excitement and enthusiasm when talking about the manga-like fights! Sold the book for me lol.
Hope this leads to a Warlock omni at some point, because that guy is pretty pivitol in these hot selling books.
Also, David Gabriel (if you ever read this), there are schmucks like me who would pay a little premium for limited omni releases that have a gimmicky cover (ie- foil, die-cut, hologram and glow in the dark). Take advantage of my nostalgia. :)

Infinity Crusade was a story my budget just didn't allow for back then as I was just a kid. As such I was excited to place my order from IST today. Curious side-note: Ron Marz's Thor run continued Starlin's Thor gone mad storyline. In many ways Marz continued Starlin's cosmic baton for a time at Marvel. I would hope whenever the second batch of Thanos stories by Starlin (Infinity Abyss, etc) that the omnibus be large enough, or another omnibus entirely, to collect some that cosmic stuff by Marz as well as the orphan Warlock Chronicles and Warlock and the Infinity Watch. Starlin's brief run on Thor would also be nice as it pretty much set the tone for the Thunder God gone mad in space that we see within the pages of Infinity Crusade.
Yep i’ll be getting this. Omar is the gold standard of omnibus reviews, his pacing, presentation style and quite frankly, his compendious knowledge, is unrivalled elsewhere.

I feel ashamed to admit this but I mainly read x-men. That and what Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale did with daredevil, hulk, and spiderman. That’s the extent to my marvel reading. As I mainly read DC (vertigo mostly) and other publishers stuff. I know I should read more marvel stuff.
Warlock Chronicles 6-8 are collected in the Blood & Thunder TPB for anyone interested in being complete. There's 2 trade paperbacks of "Warlock And The Infinity Watch" some of which double dip with these omnis but some are missing -- and they have orphaned issues in the middle which are in Blood & Thunder also.

I'm so excited for my copy to be delivered! I think there are a few silver sable issues in venomnibus vol 1 but i could be wrong.
I know a lot of people don't like this one but I really love all the Starlin cosmic. This was the first event I ever got as a kid with that gold reflective cover #1 so it holds a special place in my heart. I'm excited.

I'm currently reading the 'Infinity Saga' as part of Hachette's Official Marvel Graphic Novel Collection partwork. They don't print the tie-ins though.

@@NearMintCondition Out of the trilogy the only tie-ins that are printed are Warlock and the Infinity Watch 7-10 and 20, Marvel Comics Presents 108-111 and Warlock Chronicles #3-5 over five volumes. The volumes are less than 200 pages each.

This Tuesday will be harder on my wallet than the infamous September 2nd. It trembles as I type.
IG is still my favorite of all time, but i also loved IW and IC as well. Huge Starlin fan and this stuff was so much fun which i still enjoy today. I'm totally with you on Grindberg and the weird DM cover choice. Absolutely picking this up and looking fwd to re-reading and reading for first time some of the crossovers i missed back then.
I'm tempted to get this because I love Jim Starlin and I do have Infinity Gauntlet. Thing is, I keep hearing Crusade was the dud in the original Infinity trilogy and I already have four Marvel Omnis I'm planning to pick up this month alone. I just don't see myself shelling out the cash and making the bookshelf space for this one. Hope everyone who does get it enjoys it, though.

A crusade for infinity omniboobs
Hey Omar, I really love your stuff! Um bit off topic to this video haha but do you recommend just getting the latest flash by Geoff Johns and continuing with the omni's that are going to coming out or just get the previous omni's?
Can't wait till my copy arrives I just started out on omnibuses on Friday and have bought 6 already lol, uncanny xmen 1, xmen, infinity war, crusade, ww hulk and flash. Only have uncanny and flash currently though

Awesome preview, thanks Omar! I would've been tempted to also mention the Thanos Wars: Infinity Origin omni, which is the intro of Thanos as a cosmic threat! But now that you mentioned the Infinity Abyss and Redemption, I know have another omni or OHC to wish for!
Classic thanos would be complete with that Omnibus.
I also like Infinity Abyss or Infinity The End Omnibus as a title. Real excited to own this book to read ALL the Starlin.
FYI - I've read most of Starlin's stuff and this is easily the worst. Dont get me wrong, buy it if you want but be forewarned. I love the first 2 in the trilogy. The crusade is just bad though.

It was not necessary to map the tie-in issues in IG omnibus(they only mapped the prologue which was Silver Surfer and Thanos Quest) because none of the tie ins were relevant to the main story, the same they are not mapping all the tie ins in chronological order in this crusade omnibus, only the ones that are actually important(Warlock Chronicles, Infinity Watch)
The mapping in Infinity War omnibus is bad though.
I didn't think the SS were intertwined with the six issue mini in the original IG omnibus.
@@NearMintCondition I was referring to the Surfer issues which were the prologue(written by Starlin). Not those during the miniseries(Tie-ins written by Ron Marz). Just to clarify.

@@NearMintCondition His Magus vs Warlock comic is one of my favorites, but WaTIW #8 where he fights Gamora is a treasure. He may very well be my favorite Thanos artist. I know his rendition of Magus is my favorite, just edging out Lim.

Absolutely love the mapping on this book. Big fan of the tie-in’s incorporated in between the main event. I get the way they have done it for certain omni’s, but for the original Infinity trilogy I wish it was all consistent with the way this omni is mapped. I might be in the minority on that, and I suppose my opinion doesn’t matter because I won’t be buying this. I’m a sucker for Starlin’s work in this era, but I can’t commit to all of it because funds. Well Omar, thank you for giving me confirmation in my mind to buy these three omnis now!! Infinity Gauntlet, War, and Crusade.I doubt very much I'll regret these purchases though. How would you compare these three omnis to the Marvel Modern Cosmic Saga with the Annihilation omnis and the three War of Kings ones? Also, bit off of an off topic, but can you tell me if the Secret Wars and Secret Wars 2 are still able to be purchased in TPB format. I know the omnis are definitely OOP. Those stories are NOSTALGIC for me

I'm very confused about the release date of this book. This is not currently in stock in IST or CGN, but Amazon says it will be released on January 12. Also, it does NOT show up on InStockTrades or CheapGraphicNovels in "coming soon". Only thing I can think of is it popped up for like 2 seconds in the direct market and immediately went out of stock?
So Diamond messed up and sent the orders the next day to IST and CGN. It's now showing oop at Diamond. I know CGN will get some.
Don't forget, this Infinity storyline concludes in Thor Blood and Thunder and Infinity Watch Volume 2. How well does this Crusade Omnibus hold up if I were to read everything in chronological order? That is a ton of flipping around.

So I have had this on my wishlist forever, and constantly check on it. It gave a date of January 5th and when I check on it now, it says sold out. Was it allowed to be preordered, and if so, when. I checked it days ago.

Omar, what time do books usually go on sale at CGN and IST? I know you mentioned it in a previous video, but I can’t seem to find it. Want to make sure I’m getting my orders in as soon as I can.

Where does infinity watch play into the infinity timeline?
Between and after IG and Crusade. It lasted 42 issues and after the events of IC it went on to do its own thing.

Infinity Crusade is just awful. I'm a huge Starlin fan but I wish he would've stopped with that storyline while he was ahead.
So many inconsistencies from Marvel. From spine design to mapping. It drives me nuts.
