Love the tape technique, sweet friend. Delightful. I’m so happy and extremely excited that you have tried the piano roll I agree that it gives us so much more versatility with using it. Once I use the tissue paper I remove and put rows of double sided tape and cut when needed for washi Tissue paper for letters, I got the new labels but, still no internet so I can’t get them off of Etsy yet. Yes letters and envelopes on the tissue paper is just the best !! Oh my dear friend I love those images on piano paper. Love that packaging paper!! If you press the piano roll between. Towels it will stay flat 😉 Much love 💕
oh! you are quite a resource with all your tips Cheryl :) your washi tape idea looks perfect! you tape your double sided tape on a plastic/acetate page to be able to get them when needed? and for the piano paper, when you say you put them between towels, how this works? the towels are humid or totally dry ? thanks, Anne
Put piano rolls between towels dry . You can use the iron right on the piano paper but, I trust towels best because the piano roll so fragile . Much love .. off to home .
Love these ideas! I’ve done doilies with a temporary spray adhesive and the doily peels off quite easily. Just a light rub removes any residue. I’m trying to figure out what I did with my time before I became involved in the junk journal world? This craft is SO much fun! Love your channel, ideas & inspiration!❤️
This is a fabulous tutorial. I have a really nice new printer and this gives me so many more options of using digital kits and even copying my antique wallpaper collection onto piano roll paper. Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us.
Hello Anne, found your video today a it was a good change to something new. Love this idea. I have piano rolls and have made a pretty cool wall hanging out of it. Painting on it is cool too. I’m going to try and print on it now. Thanks for sharing your idea. Love love your papers. Don’t you just love the sound of tissue paper and old paper in your hands oooo😊😁 Kateri Burnett
Wonderful! :) so glad you found my videos. Oh yes, the sound of the paper has something I cannot understand or explain but it makes me feel happy! :) I am hooked! 😂
Thank you for the fun tips and ideas!!!! I, too, have wondered how to use my piano paper! This will be fun to come up with all sorts of experiments!!! As always, I love your work and your videos!!!
To stop paper rolling back up again, roll it gently from the opposite direction. Just take one end, that is rolling under, and without creasing it (unless you want creases) carefully turn it into a tube. But in the opposite direction. Or put it under some large heavy books to flatten - but the opposite roll method works really well. Same for posters that have been rolled up. P.S. these papers are great, thank you for showing how it's done!
Piano roll paper must be different because it stayed months under a heavy book and rolled back as soon as I removed the book! Then, I tried to roll it the opposite direction too ... no effect at all! So discouraging!
@@odulcina Piano roll paper; wondering if it somehow gets heat treated to remain rolled? so that as it goes through the pianola mechanism (that creates the piano to play), it doesn't kink or crease? Ah well. I've not found any piano roll paper, but my experience with other kinds - the reverse technique usually works okay. Apparently a company in the US called QRS still makes piano rolls.
Great results, Anne. I still haven’t tried printing your labels on fabric yet but I like the results you achieved with tissue paper, rice paper! Thank you for the link to Cheryl’s YT where you got the idea 💕🇨🇦.
Thanks Ana :) The piano roll are vintage/antique items so, you might find some on marketplace but mostly in Antique shops. The can be really pricy so, you need to wait for deals :)
I am a graphic designer and created the printing patterns out of antique documents/papers/copyright free graphics. You can find them in my Etsy shop called Odulcina (the link is in the description of every video). 🌷
love all these beautiful papers. which printer do you use? Did you know that if you roll rolled paper the opposite way it flattens out? I love your style, so feminine and pretty. Thank you for your channel.
@@odulcina perhaps it only works on sturdier paper then! We used to use wallpaper as kids for crafting and it works for that. Nice of you to give it a go though 👍
oh! that is a good question! My actual printer is not available anymore and I bought 2 printers to eventually replace it (before it dies !) and I cannot recommend them! I do want to stay with HP because I really love their Instant Ink program (You need to contact them 2-3 times in the first months to get extra ink shipped to you, stating you will print a lot and can’t afford running out of ink! this way, you will get your own stash of ink cartridges at home and never wait for it). Do not buy the HP ENVY 6458 … it won’t print legal size even if they say it is and won’t be able to grab correctly thin paper like velum paper. The next one I will buy (I am waiting for black Friday) will be the HP Envy Inspire 7955e : amzn.to/49Mvdis I would recommend you take an HP ENVY model as it is their line for Photos (so, it will print borderless as an option where other models don’t) and the quality is for photos, perfect for us!
@@odulcina thank you so much for replying. I follow you for a good while. I super love your style and even though I do journals I have not put any for sale 😞 I am hoping to do it soon in the near future. I buy your digitals and fabrics. I guess I have not found the courage to put myself out there. Thank you for your videos!! You inspire me to create. I have learned embroidery just by following your tutorials.

Bon! Je sens que ça va me prendre pas mal d'encre! Une chance que je suis rendue avec une Canon "Tank"! J'adore votre travail!!! Merci Anne!
hihi :) oui, quand on fais des junk journals, on a besoin d’un bon forfait encre! :)
Very nice
I love the printing on the piano roll. Wonder if printing on braille paper is possible. Love it
not sure for the braille paper because it is embossed.
Beautiful job . I use a very very inexpensive school glue stick ( Elmer’s)
Awesome!!!
Piano and tissue my favorite ( doily too much work unless you spend all day or use them often which I don’t )
i agree with you for the doilies, nice to do but not so often.

The piano roll and the other paper that rolls, you can iron it. I iron paper all the time. Just make sure your settings aren't on high heat.
oh! so easy! thanks for the tip, I will definitively try that 🌷
