    There is some controversy on how much sugar there really is in plain yogurt because no one really knows how much the bacteria is using. The sugar / carb could potentially be significantly lower than what’s on the label due to bacterial utilization.
    I would also maybe retest the yogurt on a day where your ketones are more normal for you, the test could’ve been skewed because your ketones started unusually high for you. You may also want to try a full fat version.

    Although it dropped your ketones you were still in decent level of ketosis. Also worth noting that usually we don't eat products in isolation so hard to say how it'll play with other ingredients.

    There's an insulin food index scale that is more useful than glycemic scale for foods. Basically, it shows foods without fat will affect your insulin even if it doesn't show in your blood sugar. Higher insulin will kick you out of ketosis and cause the blood sugar crash.

    For keto peeps who have a Aldi & tight budget. There is a big 32 oz. Plain whole milk full fat greek yogurt 3/4 c. That is yummy. 4 carbs, 9 fat. It is the Aldi Friendly Farms brand. It says 5 serv per whole container but I try to stretch it to 6 or 7. Hth

    As soon as I saw it was a nonfat yogurt I thought uh oh. Yeah that's why I never get nonfat or lowfat anything, it's always going to be higher in sugar.

      Yes, I would definitely be curious to see your readings after having the yogurt with your nut butter in it. I would guess that you wouldn't have such a significant drop in blood sugar.

    I've been on the fence to get the KetoCoach, due to new dual one coming out, thank you for the heads up! Excited to see the results of the TWO GOOD yogurt. I just stocked up at my Raley's today, they are on sale for $1!!! And not even close to expiration date! LOVE with the PK nut butters, been putting in the freezer for a little bit after add the nut butters and they are like a frozen yogurt treat! Gotta get some of the granola ya keep raving about too. So, there is some info out there about yogurt carbs actually being 1/2 the value as long as live cultures in the yogurt because the bacteria will actually consume/use the sugar in the process. Believe it's from Dr. Phinney?? Blessings & KETO-On... be it clean, lazy or dirty!

    I’m curious to know why you retested after 3 hours, instead of the normal 2hr Post Prandial testing? Great video, as usual.

    Fat free yogurt (or any dairy) is higher sugar; removing fat necessitates adding something else for bulk and flavor. Although it isn't cheap, I like Stonyfield organic or grass fed. I justify the expense because the satisfaction helps me from snacking and by buying it in a large container, I can get it cheaper per serving. Oh, and yogurt is useful for spreads, sauces, etc.

      Yes, fat free yogurt is notoriously higher in sugar because of the added lactose, but Greek yogurt is higher in protein vs regular plain yogurt. Also, the probiotics are higher, reducing the carb content. You have to compare the 2 labels side by side, there's definitely a difference.

      @@cm_mb Right, but you can get full fat Greek yogurt from Dannon or even store brands if price is an issue. Furthermore, if you're found keto, you only want moderate protein and higher fat.

    I just got one of those Duncan Hines keto mug cakes from Walmart the other day along with the Birch Benders keto mug cake. Can't wait to see your test results. I am so bummed used to be able to get the YQ plain greek yogurt in a large container, now it is no longer available! Is there some kind of keto friendly greek yogurt conspiracy? Even my Walmart does not carry any of the keto friendly yogurts.😫🤣

    Thanks for doing this test. I love this yogurt from Sam's. A RUclips competitor with an "app" that you scan the barcodes indicated that it is not "approved" by him which I find interesting since this yogurt has only one ingredient and no added sugar.

    I just had the Duncan Hines Birthday Cake & the Brownie (made both but had half of each and my husband had the other 2 half's) since it was my daughter's 3rd birthday. They were delicious!!! Love to know how they effect you though.

    Yea you may want to check on that that is not the yogurt a drop like that does not seem to normal but I eat that yogurt my doctor said you check 30 hour then 2 hour I am pre diabetic and numbers did not do that I be concerned if even seen drop like that 👀

    A couple months ago I found the big tubs of Two Good Yogurt in Vanilla and Plain at Winn Dixie. I was happy to find them and didn't even know that Two Good had a plain option! The weird thing was that the macros were different for the serving sizes, so for some reason the big tubs must have different serving sizes than the single serve yogurts.

      The flavored ones have higher carbs vs the plain, so it's not keto friendly. The plain one is better.

      You are right. The big tubs have a 170g serving size compared to the 150g serving size that is in the individual cups. I simply weigh out 150g, so I get the same macros.

    Two hours mark is the max of blood sugar rise, unless pregnant then you do 1 hour.

    I ate Fage full fat plain yogurt a couple days as an after supper snack. I ate about 1/2 cup. It knocked me right out of ketosis! Down to 0.2! Two days of not eating the yogurt and my ketones are up to 0.7

    Just FYI, Fage 0% fat free Greek yogurt has 5 gr of carbs, 0 sugar, 18 gr protein. I read somewhere (can't remember where) that the Greek yogurt has higher protein, and probiotics are breaking down the sugar in half, so only 2.5 gr of net carbs. So Greek yogurt for the win!!
    I've been indulging in daily Greek yogurt with fruits for a few months and not losing weight. This past week and a half, no yogurt. I did have strawberries last Saturday and gained 2 pounds the next day. So no fruit since last Saturday and I lost 2 pounds.
    I wasn't sure which was the culprit. I'm thinking fruit. I'm going to eat yogurt tomorrow and see what happens.
    I will be interested in buying the dual ketone/glucose meter to see what the heck is going on with my blood sugar. I'm guessing I'm insulin resistant, hence not losing weight and sometimes gaining. My endocrinologist has told me for years that I'm prediabetic and I thought she is exaggerating...I guess not!!!😰

      Fage also has a 5% that is 7 grams for an entire cup of yogurt. I'm going to try it this week. I only eat a 1/2 cup at a time.

      @@tamarasmith8621 it's hard to find the full fat version in my area (Walmart or Publix in S. FL), but at least the carbs are low on the fat free tub. I sometimes add 1 tsp of sour cream when I remember to balance it out.

      We like Costco's house brand, if the Sam's clubis a no-go. Also Aldi had a few flavors. It's called frost. They're decent. But as usual, the name brands is the best over all these for flavor, and $$ wise, I have no problem drinking the others. I personally had to completely stop buying them bc they became a crutch and was i wasn't drinking ANY water.

    I buy carbmaster vanilla it has 5 g carbs 1g sugar and only 1,5 g of fat its very good and think that would be the winner out of all for $2,89 per 3 pounds.

    Keto works but honestly I felt so bad from the beginning. I then tried the Agoge diet plan and it also worked, but I did not feel bad at all, so I am sticking with the Agoge diet.

      I was going to ask the same thing. A glucose tolerance test is usually over 2 hrs according to doctors.

      Your glycogen levels should be stabilized at 3 hours....however I'm going to start doing 2 as I think 3 is too long for me with only one product in my system. 2 hours should give us the most accurate results going forward👍

    Something I notice is that having couple carbs snack in a day won't take you straight out of keto but if you continue for two three days good bye to keto!

    Do your fingers get sore from all this testing? I had gestational diabetes the last few months of pregnancy with my son and had to check 3 times a day and my fingertips got so sore!

      Mary'd To Keto that’s suppose to happen. All foods do spike blood sugar. Carbs and sugar does so the most. Ketone readings are also not very helpful. You can have very low ketone readings and be in ketosis. In fact, this is what you want because it tells you that you are efficiently burning ketones as fast as you make them. Try testing your ketones after a fasted cardio workout. That will tell you a lot more about your fat adapted state than testing after a meal.

      It was the only Greek yogurt option Sam's Club had. Just wanted to try something affordable for those in need. I'm thinking of trying the 5% Fage as it's full fat and sugar/carb count looks good!

      @@bethk1312 yes agreed!! That's what I buy for my kids, and I flavorand sweeten it at home. Definitely a bummer for those who don't have an Aldi nearby. Some people have never even heard of Aldi, or like Nicole don't have one near, and I have about 4-5 stores within a 30 minute drive here in south Atlanta.

    Keto is not worth it imo. It's unhealthy and hard to follow. I recommend the *Agoge diet* because it is personalized and diverse and most importantly worked great for me.

      Glycogen levels usually drop after the 2 hour mark, but I'm definitely only going to 2 hours from now on to make sure the results are more targeted on the product & not me🤦‍♀️

    Keto should not be followed by healthy people, and there must be medical supervision. If you want to get rid of fat or cellulite then definitely try the Agoge diet, it worked wonders for me..
