  • Hi Everyone, So we are still coming at you with these Madeira vlogs and in this one we head to the wonderful City of Funchal which is the capital of this beautiful Island.
Funchal has also been, for many years, one of the Atlantic cruise ships main ports of call with the liner harbour right in the middle of the city. The approach to Funchal harbour is well documented as one of the two most spectacular in the world, being on a par with Rio de Janeiro. It has now become a tradition that most European liners, on their maiden voyage call here, it is quite usual to see upwards of four cruise ships in at any one time. Once ashore, the cafés, restaurants and history that mark this famed capital are just a stroll away. As we are heading on our first cruise soon seeing the boats in the port gets us excited lol.
Also for any football fans we show you Cristiano Ronaldo's museum and hotel, and also we have a sneaky peak at his gorgeous house! He was in fact born on the Island of Madeira so is considered a national treasure here.
So come with us guys as we explore the beautiful Funchal and have some very tasty treats along the way 😋

Heathens, don't you dare put butter on that cake 😆😆😆 - that cake is supposed to be a lot more moist, but you've obviously bought one of the "tourist" cakes.

We love your tour in Funchal and are really looking forward to your drone cruise coming soon! Looks like a beautiful seaside town and we're so happy there's plenty to eat there. However, other than tuna we'll leave the tins of fish to you! Butter makes everything better! We would love to try all the fruits they grow there in Madeira. Looks like a complete line. The sandwiches on the Madeiran bread or with just garlic butter looked delicious too. We do love cheap! Thanks so much for bringing us along, Kev and Stacey.

Congratulations on monetization, Kev and Stacey! You may have been already but we don't see commercials because we're premium. Now you need the Patreon or a join me button too. Would love to see you out on the road full time and leaving those silly jobs behind! Now, we know that will still take time but would love to get you on the way!

Hi we did have to circle for an hour when waiting to land as the cross winds were coming in strong. Other than that the actual landing itself was smooth

Hello! should I say: "Welcome to my hometown" Funchal, the last two letters (AL) we say it like i.e. Algarve, so the focus, sound wise is on the AL/FunchAL, in relation to the Sightseeing buses, they basically go around the city, you can up on, up of like in London, the furthest they go is towards Câmara de Lobos/Cabo Girão, this last one you've been there, the glass floor seeing platform.
The buses you mention, not the new ones (yellow) the other ones yellow/grey they go to some parts of the Countryside, they might look old and they are, but they well looked after, in fact the City Yellow bus company, owns them to.
Cakes, cakes and more cakes, my nemesis, yep! I live in England, every time I go home on holidays, yes, you've guessed, I do the rounds, our cake industry is huge, so many little devils, they pop up everywhere resistance is futile, that other cake you've tried is Venezuelan, having Madeiran migrants that come back from Venezuela do to the dictatorship, obviously the bought some traditions, the cake and other traditions came with them and we all love it.
To finish of this long comment of mine, I know! but the idea, was to give the best possible information to your subscribers, so, the hotel on the sea front, is a partnership between Cristiano Ronaldo and the biggest hotelier group in Portugal, which by the way is from Madeira Island as well, not bad for an Island, some bright dudes around, the group is called Pestana.

Hey thanks for the comment. Im really missing all that fresh fruit. It was hard work but i enjoyed chewing on some sugar cane and the pineapple was the best.
I could eat the bread and cakes until i burst. We tried a bolo rei pequeno. It was like a fruity nutty bagel

Pineapple maybe is from Azores, or south America.
