top ! Et les couleurs de ce spot sont extraordinaires, cet été on se refait ce spot avec plus de mouv'. Là, nous étions sage mais le spot est très sécurisant.

I love Sotovento! First visited with my Parents in the early 90s which happened to align with the chance to watch the best windsurfers competing in the famous Peter Stuyvesant competition. Sailed there a few times myself now, most recently with my Son, but usually the conditions are too much for my level ~ need more practice 😂. Great to see you and your mates ripping it up Nic!!

I wrongly tought sotavento was a flat spot as well have in south of France liké Gruissan but it is much more. This small wave in risco del paso is super fun to ride. Being used to Tarifa or Mistral Tramontane am used to strong wind just you need small gear. Just in case will go back to sotavento end if June. Do not hesitate to come in France I can show you some nice windy spot.

@@nicolasdidier3821 I think that I will miss you in Fuerte by a few days… I’m there 5-13 July, we are staying in El Cotillo this summer and getting some lessons from the Maxime Windsurf School. I have some work coming up in Montpellier, so I’ll let you know when I’m in the South of France, Merci!

@@anthonyperkins8304 too bad will be in El Medano at these dates. El cotillo IS a very nice place but pay attention to the shorebreak (have a look on el cotillo spot on the chanel). I leave in Grenoble but frequently in port camargue for windsurfing which is close to Montpellier so let me know when you are there. Nico

If you go back to FV, it is fun to sail from Matas Blancas to Sotavento and back, or the other way round. I lived there for many years and would do it regularly. You have to stay away from the shore as you pass Costa Calma because the hotel on the headland creates a big hole, but otherwise it is easy and it's only 6 km between the two.

@@fertysurfer better to do it with several riders I recently broke a carbone fin and few days ago ( next vidéo to publish) a carbone wish.

I don't like carbon anything. Too fragile. I am old school aluminium and fibre glass. I sail everywhere alone. I like the solitude of the ocean. It is wonderful to sail 6km straight out and just sit on the board and hear only the sound of your own breathing.
