THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was struggling with the finger positioning but seeing your finger placements really helped, my e string doesn’t sound mute anymore
Thank you for the free e-book. I'm a 68 year old retired newbie. The D chord has been giving me fits, so, thank you for this video and the e-book. I'm headed to practice!
My fingers and wrist are killing me. 😂😂. I played a C chord and a G chord and said to myself “come at me D chord ez peezy” bahahaha. A broken wrist and bleeding index finger later
Thank You , I've played before , but got into Drums , at age 50 I got into an accident, and broke both femur and left arm , I fell down an Elevator Shaft , so I stopped , I'm 68 yrs old now and picked up a Guitar and started again , I hope to see you with many chords , Lol , Now I've got more to do that sit around and watch TV 😃, Thank You , Samuel from Arizona
If we are supposed to ignore both E and A bass strings, using the thumb to mute the E doesn't free our strumming up entirely if we still have to watch out for the A string... or can we play this open A string when we mute the E with our thumb? By the way, great videos, I like in particular your chord switching videos, they are helpful practice videos.
It's not that big of a deal if you play the A string for the D chord, because A is one of the notes that make up the D chord, but the E would sound awkward. So you can use the thumb to mute the E and strum away.
you are only muting the e chord?? Don’t we need to mute the first 2 string? How can we strum freely if we are only muting the first one? Please advise.
When you start learning more shapes, you'll be moving your fingers around more instead of pressing the exact same place over and over. I notice when I'm recording lessons for 2-chord songs, my fingers hurt too, for the aforementioned reasons, even though I can perform 3 1-hour sets without issue. It's a strange phenomenon beginners face, but overcome once you learn enough shapes.
How to get ur free e book for guitar basics..i touched that link on description box...and I filled the details which were asked but when I clicked on 'get my free copy now' it didn't showed any response...??!
No matter what I do, no matter how I position my ring finger. No matter how I twist or Arch my hand or my fingers no matter how much pressure I put on the strings..... It just keeps muting the high e string, my ring finger is in the way somewhere I have absolutely no idea why LOL

I need help. Do you ever strum up on a D chord w a strumming pattern. If so how do you not strum up the top two strings?
If we are supposed to ignore both E and A bass strings, using the thumb to mute the E doesn't free our strumming up entirely if we still have to watch out for the A string... or can we play this open A string when we mute the E with our thumb?
By the way, great videos, I like in particular your chord switching videos, they are helpful practice videos.

Thanks man
Any time
you are only muting the e chord?? Don’t we need to mute the first 2 string? How can we strum freely if we are only muting the first one? Please advise.

My ring finger keep messing up the high E 😭. I’ve been trying for hours. I have got it good maybe only a dozen times.
Very good sir...👏😍
Aye mine sound like yours thanks for the video
Thanks u sir
Is it okay to use your pinky finger as your 3rd finger, it's a lot easier for me because it's not hitting the 6th string
I can do the chord properly but i cant hold it longer because my middle finger hurts so bad is there a solution

Nice
Why middle and ring finger are not swapped, it is easier that way?
No matter what I do, no matter how I position my ring finger. No matter how I twist or Arch my hand or my fingers no matter how much pressure I put on the strings..... It just keeps muting the high e string, my ring finger is in the way somewhere I have absolutely no idea why LOL
