I know this is late, but NGL, Chun-Li's voice in that scene is TERRIBLE! She sounds a million times better in Street Fighter 2V, and Street Fighter 2 the animated movie.
I liked Season 3 as well. In fact , it was the more decent part of Sonic X in my opinion. If the whole Sonic X series was based off the Meterax saga rather than trying to adapt from the Adventure games, the series might've received better reception.

Zhane' the Hedgehog I don't know.... I mean Sonic relying on disguises more than beating up enemies with speed like in Sonic X, Sonic Satam..... I prefer Sonic X over Adventures. You couldn't really screw up Mario, even back then. The Ruby-Spears cartoon came out around the time of Mega Man 3, so this was long before Capcom or Inafune actually decided to give any of the characters, well, actual character and even now, the stories were never anything home to write about. And the voice acting is still way better than what MM8 produced :U
the archie megaman comics did a great job of adapting megaman 1-3, the ruby spears cartoon is one of the worst pieces of megaman related media and while its not terrible, i watched it when i was little, it was still pretty bad. i mean Protoman had the same voice actor as link from the zelda cartoon and was whiny too
***** The Archie Mega Man series came out decades after 3 was released and in that timespan, Capcom has given us a remake of those games in the Wily Wars and expansive knowledge on a lore that properly exists now. How was anyone back in 1990 suppose to guess that Proto Man was some mysterious, secretly complex character when the games themselves said nothing at all? How many of us even knew about his reactor problem?
heroicxidiot its Schrodinger's Cat theory mixed with quantum time travel theory. Once you get those down its very easy to follow and everything makes sense.
heroicxidiot Find me a time travel story that isn't full of holes. Its a lazy way to tell a story and at the same time the hardest way to keep a story consistent.
heroicxidiot I'm not, sorry if it came off as if I acting aggressively, but even your examples are not without flaws due to the vehicle the plot rides on.
You know, there was this one Pokémon movie called Jirachi: Wish Maker, and at one point, May said to Jirachi to "get rid of the problem" and May disappeared. Now if only Jirachi did that to the rest of the characters and the show. What do you think?
Because I couldn't connect the dots with BlazeBlue: Alter of Memory I had to actually play the games to better understand the story, and it makes sense to me
Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures doesn't have neither a good story nor is it even the best at all, the humor is bland and boring, the one villain named Betrayus has the most pointless schemes ever, the ghosts are allies of Pac-Man although they're supposed to be his enemies, and where the hell is Miss Pac-Man?
Okay, I liked sonic underground when i was younger (like when i was 3 or 4) but honestly, I don't remember jack squat about the show.. Oh, and also i watched RE RUNS of the show, because i wasn't alive in 1999
blazeblue had some problems, but Neu 11 made it all worth it. sonic was my childhood and it was silly, but the nostalgia. I thought manic from Sonics spin off was interesting and I didn't even know that show existed till after I was about 17.
Well, let's see... Pokémon Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) Sonic X Earthworm Jim Mega Man: NT Warrior (Based on the "Battle Network" sub-series) the recent "Ace Attorney" animé um...uh...I guess "Kirby: Right Back at Ya" was decent?
I still like SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, SONIC UNDERGROUND and DONKEY KONG COUNTRY, but then again, I only have one episode of the DK series, but on the contrary, you still make some good points, infact you should do a Top 10 Sonic robots, I know Metal Sonic would be on that list.
hey don't be dissing Jaleel White, He was THE VOICE pf sonic for generations, yes even your beloved Sonic Sat:Am was Jaleel White. That wasthe one amazingthing about Underground Jaleel used 3 different versions of his sonic voice to voice 3 different but related hedgehogs In short Sonic the Hedgehog (1993) Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (1993)Sonic :SAt AM Underground Sonic Christmas Blast (1996) ALL Mr. White, show your respect to the OG Sonic Voice actor
At the time, I only watched the Donkey Kong Country TV show, because I couldn't play the games. And looking back on it, there were quite a few characters not in the games(thank god)
I actually admit that I unironically enjoyed watching the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. and Sonic Underground too, except not as much. I don't know what It was about it that made me watch it. I just did.
First of all Sonic Underground wasn’t that bad, and neither were the adventures. Yeah they were childish but that was their targets. Plus sonic didn’t really have that big of a story line then. Also nice clickbait putting Sonic X in the thumbnail
You have to give the Darkstalkers cartoon at least _one_ bit of credit: it was the _only_ adaptation that actually made Morrigan Scottish, like she's supposed to be.
The only "good" Darkstalkers tv series I've watched, is the Anime OVA series titled: Nightwarriors Darkstalkers' Revenge. Better animation, better voice acting, and much better tone.
"I killed my father too and you don't see me whining about it."
Really? Out of all the terrible, terrible examples of bad dialogue, you choose the one good line from the show? Really?

Agreed.
Ehhhh, it's not bad. It's INTIMIDATING, for sure, but I've seen MUCH WORSE dramatic dialogue deliveries(say that 5 times fast) than THAT.
I'm willing to bet it was because of the "you women" part.
Agreed!
I'll admit that was a pretty funny line, but it's still corny compared to the anime series/movies.
I have to admit that M. Bison saying "I've killed my father to and you don't hear me whining about it" was pretty good
I know this is late, but NGL, Chun-Li's voice in that scene is TERRIBLE!

Wow, no Sonic X?
Good, because, honestly... It WASN'T that bad after all.

I'm sorry, but that dialog from Bison was supposed to be bad? That was hilarious!
ya,lol they should of pick another one
I'm sure i have heard that dialog somewhere! But i haven't even watched that show. I bet some other show/movie took those lines and used them.
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought so. Animation wasn't great but that line was
What about his "YES!!! YESSS!!!!"?
I was just about to comment this lol
How's about you guys make a Top 10 Best Cartoons Based on Video Games?
Christopher Shackelford Sonic boom is awesome. That satire of boy bands was pure gold.
Jackie TSG
It's basically Sega making fun of itself and basically being a big shitpost that takes nothing seriously, and so there are actually funny moments. Hence why it's a meme
Christopher Shackelford That Castlevania anime is looking good tbh
Pokémon is number one, obviously.
Sonic SatAm
That Blazblue rant was the greatest thing Nick has ever done in a video.
I knew he'd make one eventually when he researched Ragna for his death battle with Sol Badguy.
agree xD 4:04
Eden Matrix i watched blazblue and thought it was really cool... but now that ive listened to this rant i apparently ignored a decent chunk of the story
yep :P
Blazblue was just confusing in general. It's not bad, just really, REALLY confusing. But AM -- that was just bad.
The intro to Sonic Underground was so badass!!!
Well you ain't wrong
You are not wrong
They have one of badass intro song
It’s so catchy
Agreed.
Well, nice to know that they didn't put Sonic X or Sonic Boom on this list, because that would've made me feel a little bad.
Ehhhhh, sonic boom is kinda alright in my book these days
Even than, Sonic X wasn't an good show either way. Not an terrible show either. Just generic.
Sonic x was my favorite until they killed off my favorite character in that show

But yeah, I was cringing through that Eddie the Yeti song.
What's even more ironic is he wasn't in any of the games! Same with Bluster.
Sonic X was good
Just gonna say this before I watch
Mellon Sonic X isnt in the list. But Underground and AoStH
Mellon
Mellon yes it was
The sub and, weirdly enough, the French dub were both good, but my preference was the original Japanese sub on account of me being a filthy weaboo.

about the blazblue anime, the first rule of anime is don't question anime, ever.

No.
the adventures was light hearted and for kids while underground was too edgy
how about sonic X no one seems to talk about it

Thank you. Adventures was amazing. I think it was just before the time of most people watching this vid.
sonic underground is literally my childhood. i can sing the entire theme song from memory
Oh thank god sonic x wasnt one of them
The Virus IKR!
The Virus screw sonic x
It wasn't that bad Sonic boom is worst
Sonic X and the very first Sonic cartoon were the only good ones, tho. All the others sucked. BAD.
Bludog Gaming Sonic Underground or Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog?

I actually Understand for blazblue for the most part
I kinda do too, but some plot holes just begged to be filled. I don't dislike it though.
I think you might be forgetting Tak and the power of Juju
I can't believe someone actually remembers that :U
wasn't that a show first
Nope, it was a game that got turned into a show. I remember when both the game and the show came out. Both were painful.

11:05 Nightwing, don't you mean Nightwolf?
pretty sure he was joking
How was that a joke though by getting a name 'intentionally' wrong?
because the guy looks like nightwing and nightwing was batman's first sidekick and they were in a cave

I actually loved the show when it came out. Use to watch it all the time when I got home from school.
No.
No.
Sonic comics was cancelled unfairly, and Sonic Underground was based on a story from said comics.
Yeah. Why?
Indeed. Why??

And the Mega Man Ruby-Spears Cartoon
rotion3 true
You couldn't really screw up Mario, even back then.
The Ruby-Spears cartoon came out around the time of Mega Man 3, so this was long before Capcom or Inafune actually decided to give any of the characters, well, actual character and even now, the stories were never anything home to write about. And the voice acting is still way better than what MM8 produced :U
the archie megaman comics did a great job of adapting megaman 1-3, the ruby spears cartoon is one of the worst pieces of megaman related media and while its not terrible, i watched it when i was little, it was still pretty bad. i mean Protoman had the same voice actor as link from the zelda cartoon and was whiny too
*****
The Archie Mega Man series came out decades after 3 was released and in that timespan, Capcom has given us a remake of those games in the Wily Wars and expansive knowledge on a lore that properly exists now. How was anyone back in 1990 suppose to guess that Proto Man was some mysterious, secretly complex character when the games themselves said nothing at all? How many of us even knew about his reactor problem?
Sonic Underground is my childhood
That BlazBlue rant is now my fave moment in ScrewAttack history
Blazblue wasn't that bad. Also, Multiverse theory
heroicxidiot its Schrodinger's Cat theory mixed with quantum time travel theory. Once you get those down its very easy to follow and everything makes sense.
Time travel based stories are never good.
jeff Lee that's subjective
heroicxidiot Find me a time travel story that isn't full of holes. Its a lazy way to tell a story and at the same time the hardest way to keep a story consistent.
heroicxidiot I'm not, sorry if it came off as if I acting aggressively, but even your examples are not without flaws due to the vehicle the plot rides on.
The Battletoads pilot. *drops mic*
I miss this channel.
I think you made a mistake there at #4. Sonic BOOM should be up there instead of AoSTH.
But Sonic Boom the tv show is actually really good. Though I agree that AoSTH doesn't deserve to be on this list. If anything. Captain N should be.
Have you seen the show? Because it is good.
Mario No but I had a feeling it was either good or bad. I just know that the nostalgia critic didn't like it.
***** No I'm on your side I love the Boom cartoon my question was for OP
AoSTH is bad I tried to watch from my on demand library it was just bad
Mario I was referring to captain N btw in the reply.
I don't like the Pokèmon TV show.
There, I said it.
Make no mistake, I love the Pokèmon games.
It's just that the TV Show (as well as the movies) just didn't resonate with me.
+Rio Kamichika
Don't feel too bad. I hate the Pokèmon anime, too.
At least origins and generations are there. Even if generations is too short.
+Venom3254
Now, _that_, I can agree with.
You know, there was this one Pokémon movie called Jirachi: Wish Maker, and at one point, May said to Jirachi to "get rid of the problem" and May disappeared. Now if only Jirachi did that to the rest of the characters and the show. What do you think?
Can't deny Sonic Underground had a sweet Theme song
I LIKED SONIC UNDERGROUND
Donkey Kong Country wasn't that bad... I mean yeah its cheesey... but it's kinda fun at times.
JaidynReiman same here
The songs were honestly pretty catchy but....that animation.... *shivers*
All he wanted was a hentai girl for him.
I shower you with coconut cream-pies!
Lookie here, lookie here, look what I've got! Don't think I won't let little Diddy drop!
Hey! Sonic Underground was pretty good to me!
Can't say it for AoSTH though...
But at least Nick's rant about Blazeblue was great!
WHAT! A Pole Position TV Show? What the heck!? Never heard of that! Makes me wish Mappy from Namco had a TV Show..or Galaga.
Mappy had a TV show, look it up.
That opening theme song is amazing.
Also they put Sonic on the thumbnail just for click bate. WE GET IT SCREWATTACK!! YOU HATE SONIC!!
Hey, SCREWATTACK likes Sonic, if you don't believe me, watch the episode of DEATH BATTLE Cast titled Archie Sonic is Broken AF.
That blaze blue part was freaking hilarious!
No, Chun-Li did do some reporting
Remember Mega Man 9?
Sonic Underground was perfect im so disappointed about that choice
You my sir have nostalgia goggles
Because I couldn't connect the dots with BlazeBlue: Alter of Memory I had to actually play the games to better understand the story, and it makes sense to me
Where is Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures? That should've been on the list somewhere.
Is there a reason why?
Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures doesn't have neither a good story nor is it even the best at all, the humor is bland and boring, the one villain named Betrayus has the most pointless schemes ever, the ghosts are allies of Pac-Man although they're supposed to be his enemies, and where the hell is Miss Pac-Man?
Word has it that the new one is the child of the Original Mr. and Ms. Pac-Man.
Okay then...
Mhm
Someone's salty about blazblue
"take it from the guy who had to binge all 40 episodes for research"
I wonder how he felt when he found out it wasn't canon
I loved sonic underground
I’m 13 and I loved sonic underground as a kid
You cannot disagree the sonic underground theme is catchy.
Okay, I liked sonic underground when i was younger (like when i was 3 or 4) but honestly, I don't remember jack squat about the show.. Oh, and also i watched RE RUNS of the show, because i wasn't alive in 1999
Yes
blazeblue had some problems, but Neu 11 made it all worth it. sonic was my childhood and it was silly, but the nostalgia. I thought manic from Sonics spin off was interesting and I didn't even know that show existed till after I was about 17.
Nu was so precious!
13:24-13:30"Here are the designs for the characters." "Hmmm...they're okay, but can you make Candy Kong look more...bangable?"
SONIC UNDERGROUND IS AWSOME
I like adventure of sonic
Kaz Packs Same here
Team Valor what's wrong with fairy tail they can smash anyone of your zelda friends (probably not Gannon)
+Kaz Packs "they can smash anyone of your Zelda fans" lmao this kid
Giorno Giovanna fookin magical
me too
Nick your BlazBlue reaction will always be my favorite especially when you talk about it on death battle cast
I loved Sonix and Blazblue Alter Memory.
I also love the Street Fighter cartoon, and Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realms
Top 10 Best Cartoons based on Video Games! (if it's even possible to find)
Good ones are out there.
StudioInkblot
There are good ones. but is it possible to find 10?
Mr. Atari 2600 Maybe a top 5.
Well, let's see...
Pokémon
Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM)
Sonic X
Earthworm Jim
Mega Man: NT Warrior (Based on the "Battle Network" sub-series)
the recent "Ace Attorney" animé
um...uh...I guess "Kirby: Right Back at Ya" was decent?
Sonic X is a pretty mixed opinion show.
That wasthe one amazingthing about Underground Jaleel used 3 different versions of his sonic voice to voice 3 different but related hedgehogs
In short
Sonic the Hedgehog (1993)
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (1993)Sonic :SAt AM
Underground
Sonic Christmas Blast (1996)
ALL Mr. White, show your respect to the OG Sonic Voice actor
Sonic Underground is criminally overrated, but Jaleel White deserves best (ex: for how he voiced the Blue Blur).
Kieran Stark what the hell is wrong with you sonic underground is underrated
Kieran Stark overrated are you high
Donkey kong country and sonic underground brings back so many memories
At the time, I only watched the Donkey Kong Country TV show, because I couldn't play the games.
And looking back on it, there were quite a few characters not in the games(thank god)
No one is gonna lie, you blast Sonic satam, underground and sonic x's theme songs at 3 in the morning, no one will lie
Say what you want about Sonic Underground. The theme was awesome... Just saying.
I was gonna be mad if Sonic X was on here, I actually loved that show
I couldn't stop laughing at the mortal kombat part 😂😂😂
M. Bison was my most favorite video game cartoon character
but I love sonic underground :'(
no its stupid
Cullen Jacobs it was pretty gud to me
Same
Cullen Jacobs me too
I thought I was the only one who enjoyed it as a kid
But with the DKC cartoon you failed to mention the best song. The one that says "I'd shower you in coconut cream pies"
Hey! I still know the Sonic Underground theme song by heart!
Say it with me
SONIC UNDERGROOUND!!
I actually admit that I unironically enjoyed watching the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. and Sonic Underground too, except not as much. I don't know what It was about it that made me watch it. I just did.
Yes
Sonic Underground was good.Deal with it.
Rebel Crabs yeah
Yes
I get that sonic unground is in this list but I think the theme song was catchy
"NUMBER 7: *Spectrum ad pops up*
Could not be more accurate
To be fair I actually kinda liked sonic underground
First of all Sonic Underground wasn’t that bad, and neither were the adventures. Yeah they were childish but that was their targets. Plus sonic didn’t really have that big of a story line then.
Also nice clickbait putting Sonic X in the thumbnail
You have to give the Darkstalkers cartoon at least _one_ bit of credit: it was the _only_ adaptation that actually made Morrigan Scottish, like she's supposed to be.
That
And lord raptor voice actor reprise his role for the anime.
Witch is better then that undead abomination.
The only "good" Darkstalkers tv series I've watched, is the Anime OVA series titled: Nightwarriors Darkstalkers' Revenge.
Better animation, better voice acting, and much better tone.
8:31 would make an excellent reaction image
Agreed.
Agreed.
hey i love sonic underground
