I rode bareback. You still get hurt but I always found comfort in the fact that if I got hung up it would be by my hand and not my foot. One of my good friends rode saddle bronc and his foot got hung up by the stirrup one ride and he ended up getting dragged around the arena for two laps dangling by his leg and his head dragging the ground . He got his head kicked in a few times and spent 6 months in the hospital in a coma. He’s never really been the same since. I’ve been stomped on and kicked plenty but when I got hung up it was my hand stuck in my riggin and my head was always out of the way of any horse’s hoofs until I finally popped out. That and we need more guys in the bareback division. When I competed in high school there was less than 10 of us bareback riders and like 30+ saddle bronc riders. Why I have no idea.
@@colemanwads yeah same around here where I'm from I did saddle bronc for a little while and I didn't really like it and a buddy rode bare back and I try it and still going in high school rodeo
Chaps just protect your legs from the rubbing your legs get from riding in jeans that aren’t made for riding (and usually more expensive). They don’t have seams in the inside, sometimes patches on the calves and knees to protect the legs. Source: I used to ride.
I’m looking for this movie where 2 brothers bareback ride horses but they attack the us and they join the army, pleaseeee let me know if you know the name
