  • The Kitsune of Japanese folklore is well known, but fewer are aware that the supernatural fox legend began in China. There the creature is known as the Hulijing, the "Spirit Fox," and in one of its forms is the deadliest of them all. Here are two classic stories from Chinese folklore and one exploration of the Hulijing's most lethal form.

    This is why their needs to be more fantasy rpgs in east asian settings. Their are so many fascinating creatures to draw upon that are rarely explored in fictional media.

      The older the culture the more there seems to be. There's a lot to discover everywhere.

      Funny you should say that. I'm working on a Japanese flavored table top setting though it is more horror than fantasy.

      @@ZarineBashire That is pretty interesting. But i am more of a console gamer myself. I can remember playing two titles that fit the role. Separated by thirty years. I have not seen anymore since.
