    You are so dang talented to be able to build a bridge from scratch and I can't even put a plastic one together from a kit! Can't wait to see the finished project. Thanks for sharing! Notice you've got a jacket on and were wearing shorts and t-shirts! Lol!

    • @csxmad
      @csxmad  7 лет назад

      Thanks David and it is cold here, that is the reason for the jacket.
      Don't know about the talent part but as long as it go's together i
      will be happy cheers Robert

    You must have cornered the local market in scale lumber! I love trestle bridges. Don't really have anywhere on my layout for one so I'm planning on making a couple of small wooden piers just so I can have a go. Great work as usual.

    I watched your last trestle series and enjoying watching this one too, I made a few Ho scale single track bents and used track nails on mine and seemed to look nice.

    That is awesome Robert! I was hoping you would build a trestle bridge for this layout. When I first subbed to your channel over a year ago, I had to go back and watch the trestle bridge build you did then. Now I can watch it in "real time" (well, sort of). I am excited! Cheers, Dan

    ok - I have just sold a OO exhibition layout and now moving over to N gauge so I can get more mountains in with a trestle bridge - yours is excellent in OO - I will use 3.2mm x 3.2 mm and the scale should be about right

    I have watched your bridge series several times and I am wanting to build a curved bridge for my grandson,,,,I bought one of them chop-it boards and am not doing so well with it,,,,,both of the razor blades that come with it broke in the same exact place,,,,as I look at the blade sitting against the cutting arm it doesn't lay flat,,,,,,there is a gap and the blade wobbles like crazy,,,,,,do you any suggestions that may help?,,,,,,,,hope you're still on-line,,,,thank you for your time

      Have you got the grooves in the blade that the screws go into?

    • @ninascroggins2481
      @ninascroggins2481 4 года назад

      @@csxmad,,,, yes,,,I checked the width with a caliper and there seems to be room in between the screws,,,,,,,I noticed you were using a paper pad of some sort under your blade,,,,I tried that but it didn't seem to work as well as your's,,,,,I have a box of blades coming so I will try when I get them

    What is the tool you used to but your balsa. I want to buy one if I can, but have no idea what it is called.

    • @csxmad

      The board for cutting is called a chopper and you can buy these at Micro Mart in the US cheers Robert

    Hi I would like to know how your Chopper cut through the Ice Cream Sticks/Coffee Stirrers as mine can't even get halfway through it. Is there something I am missing or is my Chopper faulty?

    • @csxmad
      @csxmad  6 лет назад +1

      Depends on the size of the stick you are using.
      Mine want cut through an ice cream stick that you
      would bye from an ice cream shop, they have to be
      up to 2mm in thickness, and these are what we call
      craft sticks hope this helps cheers Robert

    • @TheGamingEevee8
      @TheGamingEevee8 6 лет назад

      The sticks I had were 2 mm thick so nothing very thick. My hand balsa wood cutter went through it easily just not the Chopper I.

    • @csxmad
      @csxmad  6 лет назад +1

      I just know that mine will do 2mm, have you tried a new blade? cheers Robert

    How did you figure the math and angles of how far apart to place your pieces

    • @csxmad
      @csxmad  5 лет назад

      The top of the bridge was 130mm, so the top of the bent had to be close to that and the bottom of the bent was 190mm to
      give me the angle, and also the spacing was 40mm which is about 13 feet between each bent hope that helps cheers Robert
