    The ABS is pretty easy to delete, Front end only instructions. You buy the previous model non-ABS lines from HEL (or whoever) then get standard blanking plugs for the ABS end. You run the new lines direct, remove the OEM lines back to the junction block in front of the rad. Undo the hardlines at the abs motor, blow them out with some compressed air and cap both ends with rubber caps. Blank the ABS motor with ABS delete plugs from HEL. The fuse goes back in and its none the wiser that you have bi-passed it all. Experience comes from doing it twice XOXO

      @@jediknight1294 Turning off and bypassing ABS are not equal. The ABS hardlines run all the way back to the motor and then all the way back to front junction then to the calipers. It basically triples the length the fluid needs to travel.

    • @jediknight1294
      @jediknight1294 Год назад

      @@DL180sx oh I know just looking at the diagrams they seem to have made the r1 deliberately awkward to do it, for MOST users turning it off should be sufficient but having a system that is relatively easy to bypass and doesn't lead to the bike throwing a shit fit and having to mess about leaving the system on board so the ecu doesn't throw it into limp mode would be nice.

    Great Series guys! Couple Quick things, with the brakes, you're prob cooking the stock brake fluid. With the pace and those Z04 pads, the whole system needs a flush and vaccum bleed using Quality DOT 4 or 5.1. I've tried a bunch of bleeders over the years, but the hand pump Mittyvac works best. With the chain, its actually good you kept the stock front sprocket, as changing the fronts on R1's can lead to some geometry issues and increased vibration, since the stocker is rubber isolated and dampened. +3 on the rear (like you did) is normally where I start on 1000cc bikes also. I think there's a lot more in the suspension, but it needs to be setup as a whole package.
    Cheers, can't wait to see the next one.
