    It’s a cop.
1: cops are stationed on highways, this person was fast, and used the highway for victims
2: cops knew that everything “non protest”would be put on back burner
3: someone saw a black and blue car, in the 70’s and 80’s cops cars were blue and black
4: “destroying evidence” and or messing up cases so much.
    5: numbers/ phone numbers
6:being able to easily and quickly get girls in there car “to stay safe”

8: they knew the system and knew they wouldnt have the technology
9: the sites of pick up and drop off seem like a route because every girl went missing around the same time of day
10: someone that knew they were getting info from the anonymous inmate leaked that information to keep too much from being said

I’m someone who’s from the DC area, so a lot of this hit hard because i recognize a lot of these locations. Racism plays such a key role because a lot of these disappearances happened in the anacostia area. that area definitely doesn’t receive the resources they deserve from police because it is a majority black-brown area with a lot of poverty. it’s such a shame that black girls are robbed the life they deserve, and the world will never know how brilliant they could have been. rest in peace to all the victims, and shame on the police.

I told my boyfriend this and he said nah those shoes have probably been gone for a long time. I looked at him and said why bother taking them then if he wasn’t gonna keep them? Cause if he was 27-32 like the FBI thought they would be about 77-83 right now if they’re still alive so there is a possibility that this could happen. I have to believe that it will. I want the families of these 6 beautiful young girls/young women to be at peace, and get the answers they’ve been denied all these years. Bailey, please talk about all the missing black teens in Washington. It happened in 2017, when ten black teenagers went missing in two weeks. The police did barely anything until it went viral and the community got angry. I think they found six soon after that, but I haven't seen many updates to the case.
Edit: Woah, I don't have notifications on so I didn't see the replies. To answer some people: yes, this isn't a confirmed fact. The police have claimed that the cases weren't related. However, interviews with the parents of some missing teens in that area have said they believe otherwise. They even hired a private investigator, with which the police refused to work with. This has led many people to believe the police are involved themselves. Once again, it's not confirmed.

I’m usually not one to jump straight to “it was a bad cop”, but seems like it would explain so much.
-a cop could have quickly/easily gained a little girl’s trust.
-a cop wouldn’t (necessarily) make the little girl who wrote the note stressed.
-a cop could have made it so the investigation wasn’t going anywhere.
-a cop could have destroyed the evidence.
-a cop could have been comfortable around the interstate, and wouldn’t be questioned if seen around the area.
-a cop could find the phone numbers to the one girl’s home.
-a cop could be seen around the girls’ neighborhoods and not be suspicious.
-with protests going on around the same time, a cop could possibly sneak around and not be questioned by other cops.
-cops support other cops, so if there were even little clues about a certain someone, they might be swept under the rug.
Just some of my immediate thoughts. Might have to stew on this more.

Definitely a cop! Cops dragging their feet and making evidence disappeare are 2 huuuuuuuge red flags.. if you ask me
I feel like the 2 cops she goes in to the last couple of minutes in the video were highly likely to be the phantom and were maybe part of some damage control, it seems everyone was thinking it was a cop at the time for the lack of action on their behalf so that they eventually just charged those 2 cops and only made that 1 body connect to them instead of all the girls.. they say the last girl had a gunshot wound but whose to say that's the truth? Cops lie
I also think the cops might have staked out the girls at the grocery stores the girls were being send to by their family and cops are not at all suspicious or questionable in the area of stores (and by extensions, the highway)

Secondly, thank you for being so amazing. This pandemic was awful but I took time to get to know myself and makeup.
