Awww Alina, we understand. You are in a beautiful place, but it’s hard to enjoy because your thoughts are somewhere else. Our hearts go you, your family, and the people of Ukraine❤️
Alina, there's a place called prudentopolis, filled with brazilian from ukrainian descend, their culture still lives there, they are protesting and showing their support for ukraine, maybe you would like going there
@@AlinaMcleod do an interview of the people and their efforts to preserve customs. Get their views there. Bet you never dreamed you would function as a wartime “correspondent”. We need to see the beauty of their cohesion and solidarity. But, follow your heart. ❤️
You're so strong Alina! You've gone through so much and then on top of all that to add to the fact that these new global issues direct your family directly..i can't imagine what you're going through amiga! Please let me know if I can be of any help to you in anyway! Do what makes you feel good!
Brazil is beautiful 🥰 I had a nice stop in Rio when I was Cabin Crew with BA a few years ago, so so beautiful 😍 enjoy! So sorry to hear and watch what is happening in Ukraine 🇺🇦 I’m horrified, I live in Scotland and we are all sending prayers 🙏 keep strong 💕😘
Aliba thanks for the video - beautiful beach. I will understand if you decide to leave Brazil to handle your family issue in Ukraine. Glad that you are making a family is your priority. Hang in there and be strong my friend
I'm very glad to hear your family is safe. This is so heartbreaking to see and hear all that has happened. I pray God will bring many blessings to your family and keep them strong. 🌻🌻🌻
My thoughts and prayers to family and friends in Ukraine during this difficult time. I applaud you Alina, keep up the vlogs as it will give your heart purpose. We all can continue our lives but are not forgotten the current atrocities. Prayers Alina🇺🇦🇨🇦
Totally understand the emotions you feel and their effect. Prayers go out to Ukraine and those near and dear to You! Follow your heart, be safe and strong! ❤🙏
I did not know much of Ukraine. Through your videos and kind perspective I grew to love Ukraine. Your videos are important in linking all of us as a sort of extended family. I hope Misha and the reste of the family are ok.
I hope your family is well and that the war ends. I just watched JetLag Warriors video and saw you saying that you have ukrainian relatives. Brazil has an ukrainian community in the state of Paraná, if all these problems hadn't happened it would be a good place to visit.
Totally understand the dilemma, when you are far away from your loved ones and things happen it's hard. But as you said, you can probably help them the best by doing what you do and help financially.. Just keep contact as much as you can, uncertainity is the worst... And we all hope you and your family will be safe....
Hi Alina! All of a sudden these are not normal times, and it’s much more challenging to go on with our everyday lives like it was normal. But that’s what we need to do more often than not. If you decide to stay and work in Brazil, maybe there are some ways that you can bring your Ukrainian-Canadian self into Brazil and Brazilian life. Among South American countries, Brazil has the largest community of Ukrainians. Seek them out. Many are also trying to support family in Ukraine. Your potential interactions with Ukrainian-Brazilian communities, especially during these volatile times, would result in some very relevant and interesting content. And if you must go back to Canada, no one should be disappointed. Family comes first. Alina, I’m sending much love, best wishes, and positive vibes!!!
She should go to the Memorial Ucraniano/Ukrainian Memorial in Curitiba. I know there are some descendents who work there. They still have family in Ukraine and they speak the language as well
So sorry you had to pass through all that… Started to follow your trip around Rio and enjoying. Hope it would have ended well and that your family turned out to be Ok. Crazy world we all are in these days, no matter wäre you go to, or stay at. God bless you.
This was a very good inspiring video and demonstrating all positive thoughts in this world todayl We are gowing to stay put where we are for the time being as our secret hideaway. Keep the positive thoughts. Alina! We are keeping our channel site still on track to open soon!!!! Keep smilling don"t let this world die down, Looking all the time to see you soon!!! Great showings in South America!!
You must trust yourself and do what you think is best for your family. Did worry when there were red flags on the beach that many people seemed to be in the water. Keep safe.
Not even WWIII could bring me back to Canada. Things are going to get really weird before they get better. Your family is probably happy that your away from the craziness. Keep your head up and continue on is my vote! 🙂
Alina, I am Brazilian and I wanted to offer my solidarity to the Ukrainian people. Brazil has the fourth largest community of descendants of Ukraine. In addition, Ukraine gave us Clarice Lispector, one of the main names in Brazilian literature. Whatever your decision, I totally support it!!
Dear Alina, please stay! Of course you're worried, and your content isn't going to remain the upbeat and absolutely inspiring thing it has been till now. But you don't need to put on a happy face for us, we get it. An introspective you is fine, and that'll allow you to contribute financially, if...or when (hopefully not) the situation deteriorates in Ukraine. Many people want the best for you. My view is that taking a week out to review the very fast moving situation (from Brazil) would be best. And we all want what's best for you. #beyourownkindofbeautiful
I love your videos! I am married to a Brazilian and have spent a lot of time in Brazil over the last 20 years. One piece of advice for travelers from Canada or the US is to be aware that culturally Brazil is very different than the English-speaking world so to really experience the country authentically, don't seek out the familiar, but keep to the adage, "When in Rome." When you went to have brunch I was wondering how in the world that would look because that is somethng that is unique to our culture, Brazilians do not have this. They call their morning meal "morning coffee" but they eat a substantial lunch, they never blend the two. I find when Brazilians offer American food or experiences, they are often very different than what we would expect, so if you are ok with that, great, but just be prepared. I remember my first hamburger in Brazil and it was very different, not better or worse, but not too special. However, when I tried this hamburger-like sandwich, a proprietary creation at a little cafe in my husband's hometown that existed nowhere else in Brazil, that was mind-blowing and delicious! So keep an open mind and do as the Brazilians do! 😊
Hi Alina I'm sure your family would want you to carry on doing what you're doing but if your heart's not in it then it's time to leave..really appreciate the video today and will continue to watch your vlogs wherever you go..big hugs to you and your family from London 🤗♥
Alina, you are already dealing with the stress of a recent bad event. Now you have additional worries/stress due to Putin's aggression. IMO and for your mental health, I say stay, continue your journey, keep your mind occupied with your job. I believe that if you returned home you would just worry more and end up going stir crazy. Not good!
Thoughts and wishes for you, your family and all people in Ukraine 🇺🇦. My suggestion is to just continue your trip Stay focused on your priority to make money and help your family. It will be beneficial in the long run. Stay safe.
Having seen your family from your videos, it truly brings the situation close to home. Here's hoping the madness somehow will end. Can't imagine how badly average Russians feel about it, too, being forced to turn on one of their closest allies. Just insane. For my two cents, I would hope you can continue your travels. Even though it will be tough to do given where your head is at, you are already there and it would be a shame to do anything to interrupt the momentum you have with your channel, particularly after putting your heart and soul into it for the past few years. You can always film in Alberta, but there is nothing like an exotic location most people will never get to to generate interest. Plus, other than sending your family money, there is not much more you can do for them now anyway, so you might as well do what you can to continue to generate an income. Btw, fwiw, really think those sunglasses suit you! Found the beach you are on in google maps. It is huge! I guess that's why they call it grande...duh-uh!!! Thoughts and prayers go out to your family! All the best.
Alina, do what your heart speaks to you. I am so sorry for all that are affected by this nonsense violence. Stay strong and know you have us to chat with and express whatever you want. I have been in touch with several people I know that are in Ukraine but moved to safer locations for now but have not left the country. But I worry as I cannot do anything but communicate, pray and hope peace comes soon.
Totally get what you're saying, and I don't even have any family in Ukraine. I have some Ukrainian family in the US and every time I watch something funny or get a silly feeling I feel guilty about it because of all the suffering going on. . . It's a difficult thing to reconcile personally. Good luck and God bless your family!
Awww Alina, we understand. You are in a beautiful place, but it’s hard to enjoy because your thoughts are somewhere else. Our hearts go you, your family, and the people of Ukraine❤️
Thanks guys
