This song is very special to us swedish and finnish people, it is sung every year by the kids in sweden on their last day of the school year at the start of the summer. I miss hearing it every summer. It was written year 1693 and there is many versions.

The last time music made me tear up, literally put tears in my eyes was in the early 90s when I experienced Itzhak Perlman live. And now again. This is what people must mean when they say that we had song before we had speech. This makes me think of people I love and people I lost.

I've always felt the opposite when I hear this song in church, when summer is around the corner, when the beauty of this world - not another world but this world, our world - really hits me. But yes, it's emotional for sure.

Swede here, played the game. I expected it to be scary, dark and gritty. What I didn't expect was to fell a tear to this beautiful song and singing by the artist. Coming out from the horrors of the night, into the dawn in a field of blooming "vitsoppor" to this song... Just such an awesome scene. Thank you for this!
Back in the day, we used to sing this song in church choir before summer break in Sweden. Nowadays it's forbidden beacasue of muslim immigrants thinks its offensive. Or at least the school think's its offensive. We no longer do this. At least I got to experience this. I feel sorry for the younger generation that did not get to experience this. Very powerful and beautiful.
We knew it would be a great summer when we sung this song, last day in elementary school before the summer vacation in Sweden.

As an Englishman, you’ll forgive the fact I hadn’t heard this song before playing Bramble. It’s lovely to hear that it’s part of the traditions for school children to sing at the end of school.
The way that it is sung here however, there is such a great sense of reawakening not only of the life that blooms at the coming of summer, but the re awakening of our own lives… in a fair, bright and eternal land with all those we love. Our sense for such things must have root in some essence of truth.

Swedish is a beautiful language despite I know and understand very little I still love the sound of it when spoken. I am Dane myself.
This song has a lot of history in my family, as I would expect since it's super sentimental to the Swedish and Finnish cultures.
My great-great-grandmother, Maria, and her family were originally from Finland but had immigrated to Sweden. A few generations later, some of her siblings had moved to the United States. My grandmother, Margaret, she learned it from her maternal aunt, Anna Elizabeth, one day and fell in love with it instantly. Maria and her siblings had been sung this song as children by their mother, Anna Kajsa.
Maria passed away in 1954, and against her husband's protest, her daughters sung the song at her funeral. Spiteful fella. Since her funeral, the song has been sung at every wedding and funeral since. We also reunited with our long-lost Swedish relatives after roughly 65+ years!
I found out I was close to half Swedish last year when I was told my grandpa was given up for adoption by his birth parents from Sweden because they couldn't support him financially, I've been learning Swedish for a few months and songs really help me learn. I bought Bramble because I love beautiful/cute games with horror undertones and when this song started playing I sat there and cried for a few minutes because of how much beauty there is in foreign languages and what I'd unknowingly missed out on my entire life. Linnéa is a great singer and I wish I could personally thank her for making this song ❤️

I was freaking out because I remember this song from Alla Vi Barn I Bullerbyn and when it came up in the game the nostalgia just hit like a ton of bricks. This game is so unapologetically Swedish and while I, as a Dane, am obligated to make fun of Swedes, I deeply, deeply love you guys, your nature, your culture, the culture we share and these songs that carry so much dangerous beauty. It is, after all, the way of nordic nature no matter where we go, that nature is alive, beautiful and deadly af.
As a dane, it is your divine right to make fun of Swedes. The banter is skin deep, the love is however thicker than blood.

A song of renewal, and it makes me think of the future. When I move from the US to France with my girlfriend. A new start, a renewal for my life. This part in the game felt like it brought me to a life I never knew but oddly felt like I recognized. Brought me to tears and its great to see its a folk song I could've experienced had I been born in a different place.
The way its sung its like its how youd sing it at a funeral which makes me believe that the 2 kids died in the game and everything was just their imagination. The girl probably died a while ago and the brother still in disbelief tried to look for his dead sister and died too.

First heard this in game and just now thought to look to see if the whole thing was on RUclips. Simply incredible. This scene from Bramble will live with me forever, it was so moving considering the before and after. Hit like a ton of bricks in the best way possible.
To be honest, this song reignited my love for music that I had let stagnate from being too busy with work. I now make it a point to spend at least a few hours a week listening to music with intent, the way i did when I was younger, both my old favorites and the neverending search for new magic from other artists I've never heard before.
I am now adding Bjoern to that list, your voice is so gorgeous and soulful. A true audio antidepressant. Thank you for this performance, it truly means a lot to me, and thank you Bramble folks for bringing it and the rest of your game into my life.

There are plenty swedish songs like that but mostly sung by choirs search around with the words : svenska sommarvisor.
But there is a song by jonna jinton it is a version of our national song its called - En sång till sverige du gamla du fria it is on youtube. Its like a mythical voice

I would say "En Vänlig Grönska" is another swedish song that has a similar tone. ruclips.net/video/wv3vzwNCxsY/видео.html It's also a hymn usually sung in summertime. I just uploaded a beautiful version by Loreen, Lisa Miskovsky & Sofia Jannok, and I think they sing it in a similar vibe as the song by Bjoern. Another nice thing about this version is that they sing it in three lanugages, Swedish, Finnish and Saami.
