Can you please give me more info on different recovery programs? I can’t find much on my own and my church wants to start an outreach, decided celebrate recovery is obviously not it.
You might reconsider. These dear brothers are missing the step studies that are required in CR. Only those that work through their issues are truly freed from addiction. These brothers don't have the full picture. It's all biblical
Can't wait to listen to this as a Born Again ex addict I am NOT a fan of AA/NA Obviously, and do not care much for Celebrate Recovery either. The GOSPEL is what sinners need, and Scripture is ALL sufficient for any condition 💯🙏 Of course my opinions in this matter are not popular in my city.💔 Anything that has biblical principles yet removes Jesus Christ is from the PIT 💯🔥 SIN IS THE PROBLEM !!!! CHRIST IS THE CURE !!!!
So, the issue that I'm going to have as a bible believing, preaching and teaching follower of Yeshua... I have to point out the issue here. You're not talking about, or perhaps you don't know, is that there are step studies that CR requires in order to move forward in the Lord and be freed from addiction. Just sitting in on meetings is only a small part of it. This program is about being freed in Yeshua and adhering to scripture. This is the key component to CR.
I agree. The step study is real growth
I don’t see a positive in cr I personally think churches have failed in teaching reason why other groups started
EXACTLY they have just mimicked the 12 steps programs and slapped the name of "Jesus" to it. Also, not always, but overall there is less of a call to holiness among such groups, that's why they are so much more popular. It's "works based" self help sobriety with psychology mixed in, and little attention to sanctification or being set apart. It's ALL about JESUS CHRIST, closer we get to him the cleaner our lives become🙌🙏
