    There’s a reason she “homeschools” her kids & doesn’t want them educated on birth control or sexual health. She wants them to be as uneducated and helpless and dependent on the state & public charity as she herself is. I think she’s terrified of the idea of any of them growing up and going out into the world and becoming successful on their own merit. She’s like an animal hoarder, but with kids.
    I honestly thought she had a learning disability at first upon seeing how she talks about pregnancy (not her kids, but being pregnant) and how she “claps back” at people raising concerns, but she’s obviously been arrested in an adolescent mindset since her first pregnancy. It’s actually really sad, but nowhere near as sad as the reality her tokenized offspring face. You know a home situation is *bad* when you think the kids actually would be better off in foster care.

    Absolutely not. Part of being a responsible parent is being able to provide a safe and stable environment for your kids even if you get assistance who cares that's not the issue. The issue is continuing to make babies when you can not manage the large family you already have. Her stance on birth control is also alarming. It is used for so much more than pregnancy prevention. Like for instance both my teenage daughters are lesbians but if they asked for birth control due to heavy periods or whatever I'd bring it up with their gynecologist. My best friend has 6 kids, and is the greatest mom so I know it's possible however putting your own desire to have babies above the needs of your existing kids is not okay.

    • @AshatHome
      @AshatHome Год назад +4

      @N E S S that's absolutely horrible that adults acted like that to you. When I was a teenager, I worked with my mom and 3 other older ladies at an ice cream shop. Well one of the ladies was very Baptist and decided that 14 year old me was "the devil" and I wasn't allowed to speak to her kids when they came in because she heard my mom tell me I had a gyno appt. The lady lectured me about how I'd be a teen mom and ruin my kids lives. Which never happened but her kids both had kids before they turned 15 and both ended up in prison, so when I hear people losing their minds over birth control or other normal things I remember how that kind of ignorance tends to backfire spectacularly.

    Omg she doesn’t want to put her kids in school because it cost too much but she gets food assistance? It cost the same amount if not more to be on food assistance. I just watched one of her longer videos here on YT ("Mom of 13 day in the life vlog EXTENDED VERSION") and it was quite depressing. Basically the kids go to sleep some time between 3 am and morning, wake up in the afternoon and then spend the rest of the day waiting to use the only bathroom and for Veronica to make dinner, that they then eat while standing in the kitchen (teenagers) or sitting on the floor (toddler) or maybe not at all. Veronica struggles to stay on top of everything and tries to enforce some rules like "no gaming before food" (Marv, the 10 year old the size of a 6 year old and weight of a 4 year old) but they mostly ignore her, destroy some stuff and do their own thing. Some of the older kids seem to go out after dark for a while (little kid: "What, you're going OUTSIDE?!"), for the rest the day just passes somehow, one doesn't get up until the rest go to bed and they are reminded constantly by Veronica that they want to go to the pumpkin patch the next day and really need to sleep for a few hours if they want to go. Grand finale of the video, she reminds two of the littles to put on a pullup before going to bed because they definitely want that online in a few years.
    I hope someone forces her to send her kids to school. Not because school is great but it's better than this.

I'm just torn between working oneself into the ground for little more than what you could recieve in benefits. I got a severe spinal cord injury a few years back, working all the hrs god sent, for a minimum wage job, that was just too much for my already damaged back. The satisfaction I had on payday was often shortlived, when after paying bills, I had hardly anything left and was in crippling pain. A part of me wishes in hindsight I'd just done what many others do, and taken a disability payment or partial one at least, and worked less. That aside, would you not be financially better off with state help IF you chose that?? Just curious?

The mom works part time as a cashier. They live in a home in need of repair and its filled with mold. They have a condition and each child is born with this genetic condition. The youngest is kept in a playpen and just bangs his head against the frame or the wall. My ex got the “father” a job and within 2 weeks he’d quit. They are on welfare and the kids also get benefits due to their genetic conditions. They go on fancy vacations and have floor to ceiling Star Wars toys yet can’t pay their own bills.

And unschooling to me just means my kids won’t be able to read or do math when they’re done. She is doing her children such a disfavour in what she’s doing. It’s does take work on your part to do home or regular school, I think she’s lazy. That CPS report is probably the #1 reason why they don’t go. And if you want tons of children, be able to care for them, not setting up fund raisers. I have an entitled family like that that, everyone should give them money. 😅 I have 2 kids and I can’t understand wanting to go through labour & delivery 12 times
    ! 12 times! 😂Good Lord. She isn’t thinking straight. I feel for her kids. Plus I think it’s 16 here, kids can get birth control here from the doctor with out parental permission & you know teenagers are always willing to follow parental advice so no problem there! 😊

    I swear when people who talk about not schooling/unschooling/homeschooling shit and use the defense about “cooking is math, they go grocery shopping” like that’s NOT EDUCATION. As a parent you can already be doing that outside of school, I like did all of that with my mom, we went grocery shopping on the way home, she taught me what to pick, how to pick and like what prices are, we would run to the mail she’d have me read the addresses and teach me about geography, when we got home or when I was with my babysitter I would sit in the kitchen and either play cook and practice measuring or be actively helping my mom cook. Learning measuring, precision and counting. I was enrolled in different activity’s and when I wasn’t I had things like books, instruments, gardens, worksheets etc to help further my education. But notice how none of that is actual schooling just beneficial like idk everything they say their doing is just stuff I honestly think you should be doing anyways

      There are side effects to birth control but it’s more complex than she’s stating it. a lot of it depends on your medical history. If you’re a smoker, if you’ve had breast cancer etc. Also not all birth control is equal. Birth control can be a good thing too. Acting like it’s only bad or only for seggsy times just doesn’t ring true.

    I’m a supporter of home-schooling, and I’m fine with big families, but I believe in using professional curriculums at home to ensure a full education. I also believe that if you need to use your older children for more than occasional babysitting you are focusing on quantity vs quality and that’s not being a good parent. It made perfect sense in the past to have many children due to infant/child mortality rates and lack of birth control, but these days I don’t approve of intentionally getting pregnant when you can’t truly focus on the quality of life of the ones you already have. Your children shouldn’t have to be second mothers or fathers to your kids. (Obviously extreme circumstances can occur such as chronic illness that can force older children to take on responsibilities that aren’t theirs, and so on. Not ideal for anyone, but I’m not judging the parents in situations like that.)

    It doesn’t cost people more money for her kids to go to public school. You pay the taxes no matter what so she might as well send them. It’s not like your taxes go up every time a new kid gets enrolled, you pay a set amount of taxes per year. Yes it can go up every year but it’s not by much so it’s stupid to use that as her excuse.

    Public school is free in the US. She enrages me that our taxes are paying for her irresponsible choice to have a large family she can’t afford. If you chose to have a large family, you should be responsible enough to support them exclusively. That is not what welfare is intended for.

      Taxes pay for her kids anyways, but with them going to school at least they'll get a standard American education. No way this woman is capable of educating K-12 all at once. I am happy to pay towards public education and I'd bet most other Americans agree with that sentiment

  • @HellsFurby
    @HellsFurby Год назад

    Public schools here are funded by taxes I believe, I don’t believe she cares about that and this is my first time hearing about this woman. She wouldn’t be paying out of pocket for them if they’re just going to public school aside from supplies and maybe other things like we had to pay for our gym class uniforms in my middle school. Idk much about her but as of late when i hear homeschooling, it can be done correctly and be a great option for some, but A common ab*se tactic in many cases for the faculty who I’m sure majority if not all who work in a school are mandated reporters, people will homeschool so to avoid those people to hide neglect or mistreatment, of course not always. From the comments I read others seem to be thinking the same thing as far as the homeschooling. There aren’t many checks and balances to actually make sure these kids are on accredited material, actually learning, etc. maybe some places have that in place, but to my knowledge I never heard of it. I homeschooled for a year (i really wanted to be and the year prior i missed most of the year because i broke my foot, leg, and ankle very badly had to have surgeries and the works, my teachers at school would have to gather my work and someone go get it for me to do it at home) and the only time I was tested by someone in the school system was for reentry into my public school. Making sure I was up to par. But this video is very interesting I’ll be checking out more of your content! Your voice is really pretty by the way! ❤

    She needs to give her children birth control and educate them, otherwise that household is going to grow and grow and become even less sustainable and financially draining.
