🍡Any mochi I ABSOLUTELY have to add on this list to try? I'd love to make them at home too! If you like mochi, you're gonna love this Filipino dessert called ginataang bilo bilo (and it's SUPER easy to make): jeanelleats.com/pandan-flavored-glutinous-rice-balls/
I actually found out from an exchange student that over in Japan a common flavor for medicine is Anise (root beer flavoring) so our root beer treats all taste similar to that for many of them and they dislike it. Alternatively Mugwort is used in a LOT of medicines over in the West so that's probably why there's that correlation with medicine when eating the mugwort dango.
Thank you for makong content that brings genuine happiness! I needed a distraction and something to keep mt attention while also learning something new and i appreciate i can always count on your content to do just that. You truly are an amazing human. Sude note cant wait for the musubi mold!! YAY
餅スイーツかぁ。餅じゃないけどわらび餅が一番美味しいよなぁ。と思いながら動画を開いたら、一番初めに紹介されてて驚いた。流石です Many foreigners might think of mochi as a soft, sweet treat, but authentic mochi is actually a dish with a chewy texture and is a bit firmer. As for sweets, we have mochi, shiratama, and gyuhi, each made in different ways. I recommend trying mochi sweets made from shiratama-ko(白玉粉) or gyuhi(求肥), as they are softer than regular mochi.(Yumochi is made from shiratama-ko.) But WARABI MOCHI is the best!! (If you can find real ones... Authentic warabi mochi made from real warabi starch is not commonly available.)
The only mochi I've tried were quite large balls, one white one pink, with a chocolate ball inside one and a red bean ball in the other. Both had a whole straberry inside the inner balls. Three layers of gooey chewy sweetness. The outside was decorated with a litlle anime/panda faces, right out of a Ghibli movie. They were given to me by a friend and I have no idea what they were called, other than mochi, or where they came from. They were amazing.
I always miss your long videos. I'm supposed to get all notifications too. I'm hopefully going to Japan after my solo trip to China (but our 🇨🇦 government has been making this trip hard) and I'm going to eat every mochi I see. I'll have to bring an extra set of clothes in a larger size I bet 😂
