+Zach Collier yeah. It'll be a bad start. That's why blood bag is so perfect. Starts out with low drums then the second set and blam come the mad drums blasting away pumping your blood all through your veins
+VunderGuy But Bruce and the rest of the world don't know that. To them he's someone with incredible power who has no authority. Of course that's what the Martha scene is for, it showed Bruce Clark's humanity, and how similar to each other they are, and how Bruce has fallen and forgotten the purpose of his mission. Superman proved Batman wrong, and saved him from crossing the line, if he hasn't already.
+RCBM Mines Well said. You could even see the rage and murderous intent in Bruce's face before superman says "Martha". Batman was just fighting just for the sake of fighting and murder at that point. Not for justice as he may have thought before.
There is only a "Batfake" (Joker line from Batman Beyond) in this movie. One of the reason this movie sucked so much ass. We see Batfake kill many people with his guns and running over people with the batmobile. The Dark Knight we know and love would never kill anyone (not intentionally anyway.) If batman killed then every big villain in Gotham like the joker would be dead, and clearly since the joker is in the Suicide Squad movie he's not dead. This film just made no sense.

7:25 ... people can be cynical a-holes about this moment, but when I saw this movie in the theater, alone, for the first time...got very teary eyed at that moment. then immediately bought the soundtrack
I was utterly shocked when I saw the scene in theaters. It never clicked until then that Bruce and Clark shared that commonality. My mother wept when she saw this scene what son wouldn’t do anything to save his mother?
2:24 it was here that punch after punch, Bruce realized the dose had worn off. Superman is no longer amused and even Batman has an oh shit look on his face. Seeing this movie a third time damn it.
OK...as a fellow fan I respect you, but #1, the armor made him nowhere near as strong as Superman. All it did was cushion the blows that normally would've killed Batman. Secondly, the motives were clear; Batman claimed he was being cognizant but in reality he felt powerless and emasculated (which had been illustrated since the earliest trailers) and sought to kill Superman out of a misplaced sense of superiority. He quite literally lived long enough to see himself become the villain. Superman (granted more explored in the extended cut) was angry at Batman's violation of individual rights. Batman had stopped caring about individuals in his war on crime which Superman couldn't stand since he is more altruistic. The story is centered off of Superman brining Batman back to his roots, and I can go even deeper if need be.
@@giganfan997 "sought to kill Superman out of a misplaced sense of superiority. He quite literally lived long enough to see himself become the villain." I think he wanted to kill Superman because people died. His family, Robin, people who died and he couldn't stop it. Then a building full of employees got killed because of Superman, he couldn't save them. The film even implies they were waiting for him, so their blood on his hands (nightmare scene). Then a bomb attack because he thought he was neglicent. All these events creating panic and a mis placed feeling of faillure. Superman was the vessel to project it on. I think the misplaced sense of superiority came because his projection of grieve and guild on Superman created a demon. Creating all sorts of hate fuelled feelings like feeling emasculated
@@giganfan997 Agreed. The 2:24 part of the scene further proved how resourceful & willful Batman is, which made me believe in him more. I’m with you on that. 👍🏻
Ok how i picture it in my head/speculation: 1:00 Superman catches the bullet that Batman shot (where the clip ends) but it explodes and expose Superman to Kryptonite....him getting weak 1:40 Batman blocks Superman's punch. WTF moment 1:57 Batman beating the crap outta Superman 2:27 Superman regains some focus. Still weakened/de-powered but still able to stand up and fight 3:00 Superman beating Batman 3:47 Batman change of plans...luring Superman into his traps set up all over the battle area 6:07 Batman is all messed up but manages to beat Superman to the ground. Does his Dark Knight Returns style monologue 6:39 Superman somehow regains his strength and overpowers the exhausted Batman with damaged armor 7:00 Batman is all like "just kill me. Do it." Batman gets a bit "i have nothing to live for" kinda thing. Superman gives a monologue about hope and offers him help - work together to fight injustice.
For those wondering, the "trigger" wasn't the name. Even though he reacted at the name, he reacted violently, when he realised it was his mother's name he immediatly humanised him, realised that what he thought "You were never even a man" was a lie, a false construct he had. Having a mother and wanting her safe. As soon as Bruce realised this, he understood that, even though he coulnd't help his own mother, he could've spared the despair and sadness from Clark's heart by saving his mother. And the fact that the two mothers had the same name only helps to create the bond between the two, not only destroys the division between them, but shows that after all, they're just two sides of the same coin. For the whole time before the movie we were all "Team Batman" or "Team Superman" but the movie showed us, thanks to that scene that we're all together, joined by our emotions no matter how different we are.
WHAT?! WHY?! WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!!! WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!!!! WHY?!! My jaw dropped during that scene! I was already excited to see the battle unfold, then i was like ok Bruce you're going a bit too far with the sink, hes had enough!

+Sach Harshan that's the part where I wanted to tell Batman, "fuck you, you were hiding when Zod was around and you hid from Superman until you got kryptonite on your hands" .
+Manuel Lopez omg for god sake he was out of town that's why in bvs you see him arriving in the damn helicopter so he wasn't hiding and plus he was helping his employees find safety
BHarribo+ That's right. Superman would've been dead from a snapped neck before he'd have a chance to run if batman wanted to directly kill him up front and end it once it started.
Who else wants this to happen in the extended R Rated edition... *Batman fires kryptonite grenade. Superman catches it and gets poisoned* "Breathe Clark....You're feeling it now don't you, what the rest of us feel everyday.....you're own mortality. You're not brave..." *Superman throws Punch. Batman stops punch* "Men are brave" EPIC....FIGHT....SCENE!!!!!
When Batman fires the kryptonite gas and says, "Breathe it in. That's fear", it's supposed to be a symbolism of him becoming like his villains (Scarecrow). He also gets his mask torn in half to resemble Two-Face. So while your dialogue influenced by TDKR, is epic, it wouldn't quite fit the themes BVS deals with.
6:36 Bruce:(holding the spear) You were never a god. Bruce:(puts his foot on Superman's throat) You were never even a man. Clark: YOU'RE LETTING HIM..KILL MARTHA. Bruce: What does that mean?! Why did you say that name?! Clark: FIND...HIM...SAVE....MARTHA. Bruce:(after remembering his parents' death) WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME? Martha? Why did you say that name? Lois: CLARK! Please, stop. Bruce: WHY DID SAY THAT NAME? Lois: It's his mother's name.... It's his mother's name.
If this was Star Wars here's dialogue for it: Vader: Well, here I am. Obi Wan: Anakin, please, I was wrong. You have to listen to me, Palpatine wants the Jedi- Vader force chokes Obi Wan for a few seconds & lets him go. Obi Wan & Vader walk near each other. Obi Wan: You don't understand! There's no time! Vader: I UNDERSTAND! Obi Wan force pushes him a few distances away And you know the rest
i never planned on listening to the critics. for someone who has an understanding of the basic lore in the dc universe. this movie would have been was absolutely awesome. i understand the wider audience and why they felt lost. ultimately though the critics imo were wrong. dont go in expecting ab avengers flick. that movie was successful because it was simple. heroes unite and beat up bad guys. no substance or depth to the characters. bvs had so much depth and so much going on , that you had to think..the audience had to think. thats what sets this apart from the avengers film. it wasnt simple., it wasnt a beat em up kid flick. this movie was fucking adult and the story is fucking brilliant. why? because they didnt just hand it to you..it came in plots that you put together and once you do..thats when you shit yourself
... No. The Avengers did good because they actually took their time on their cinematic universe. 4/6 of the main characters were more or less already developed by the time the movie came out thus making it a fun and interesting crossover without the need to further develop. This movie didn't have that kind of set-up and literally forced forced Batman's and Wonder Woman's origin into the story thus distracting it from any structured plot that could be followed without having to rely on prior knowledge of the comics. This is also a beat 'em up kids flick with a shoe-horned villain. They should've went with Braniac as the main villain for this one.
@@Rubyfire41 the great thing about movies especially comic book movies the director gets to add their own interpretation of the Characters to really make them unique and not literally the same as we know them from the comic books. Hans Zimmer is a god. His music can make any movie epic but here, in this case, BvS is already epic. Please Zimmer make the soundtrack for Justice League with individual superheroes theme. That would be so EPIC !!!!
it's already confirmed
+Sahyl Yeah, he's doing that. Everyone except Batman because he already did Batman in The Dark Knight Trilogy, so he brought Junkie XL for Batman.
+George Daugherty Actually Hans confirmed in a recent interview, that he originally gave the honor of doing Batman to Junkie, but then they ended up working togethe, because they saw how well they worked together.
+Sahyl As much as I love Hans, this whole soundtrack seems to be the work of Junkie XL. He should be getting the credit.
logicalfallacy234
What are you talking about ? Hans has made most of the tracks. Only Batman themes are made by Junkie. See MoS soundtrack making, he composes all the percussions, horns and everything. I can detect Hans music easily. It has a certain vibe and a feel that no one can replicate.
6:00 my new alarm
nice, my alarm, blood bag.
Go with 1:57, You'll wake up every time ;)
+Zach Collier this is like a running song. I'd run to this. Blood bag will forever be my alarm until I find something with more kick
+Frank A I was trolling anyway. That would be a horrible part to set an alarm too, unless you like being stressed out the moment you come to.
+Zach Collier yeah. It'll be a bad start. That's why blood bag is so perfect. Starts out with low drums then the second set and blam come the mad drums blasting away pumping your blood all through your veins
at 1:00 kryptonite explodes at Clark's beautiful face...
+arujofied "It wasnt easy to make clark, it tooks years and cost a fortune. Luckily i had both"
afterwards you hear a lot of man of steel/superman music, sort of like zod. I get the feeling that he regains his powers and gets very mad
+arujofied Wow this practically confirms it!
That seems definite
Yeah that projectile he catches is 100% gonna explode in his face
Batman: You say that you want to help people, but you can't feel their pain... their mortality... it's time you learn what it means to be a man."
This itself is really stupid when you consider that, yes, Clark did. Very much so in Man of Steel.
Why wasn't this line in the movie?
There is only a "Batfake" (Joker line from Batman Beyond) in this movie. One of the reason this movie sucked so much ass. We see Batfake kill many people with his guns and running over people with the batmobile. The Dark Knight we know and love would never kill anyone (not intentionally anyway.) If batman killed then every big villain in Gotham like the joker would be dead, and clearly since the joker is in the Suicide Squad movie he's not dead. This film just made no sense.
This is why I’m black and blue and soon you’ll see too ✊🏾😎
3:07 will never not be one of the most epic soundtracks I ever heard
1:58
Oh.... Nice. Awesome work from Zimmer and Junkie!
Man im a fan of both marvel and dc. But man i think ill never get sick of rewatching BVS. I Always come on here to listen to the souNdtracks and read the comments. Nice to see people still come here to listen to these masterpieces.
damn....i cried during that Martha scene...the way Superman was afraid for his Mother
I cried when I heard the music
Last bit of this
@Ishaan Hodge why did yoi
@Ishaan Hodge you
WB to Zack:
WB: Zack please, I was wrong, you have to listen to me. Marvel wants to- is interrupted by earpearsing noises
WB: you don't understand, there's no time!
Zack: I UNDERSTAND!!
And thus, WB cut out 30 important minutes of screen time, and forced him to shove in pointless setups.
hahahahah fuck WB
WB v Zack Snyder.
Which is nothing compared to what they did to him with JL
good one man.
“30 minutes.”
That’s adorable.

that made me laugh like the joker
7:25 ... people can be cynical a-holes about this moment, but when I saw this movie in the theater, alone, for the first time...got very teary eyed at that moment. then immediately bought the soundtrack
Same bro. I never watched the theatrical release I watched the ultimate edition when it released and that’s maybe why I love bvs
@@makdoesshit actually when I watch the theater version at Imax Theater, I personally love the save martha scene already 😀.
I was utterly shocked when I saw the scene in theaters. It never clicked until then that Bruce and Clark shared that commonality. My mother wept when she saw this scene what son wouldn’t do anything to save his mother?
"you don't understand.."
"OH, I UNDERSTAND"
*push*
+David TenderNuts i loved that when batman said "I UNDERSTAND" all pissed and shit with that voice modulator

:D
TOTALLY AGREE! I clicked to this song just to listen this part!
totally
Yeah, I just imagine the merciless onslaught of punches, knees and kicks batman unloads on superman
2:24 it was here that punch after punch, Bruce realized the dose had worn off. Superman is no longer amused and even Batman has an oh shit look on his face. Seeing this movie a third time damn it.
And he put out his hand like "woah take it easy man"
+giganfan 997 "chill bro its just a prank" look
He quite literally lived long enough to see himself become the villain."
I think he wanted to kill Superman because people died.
At 3:06 shit is going down
OH MY GOD YES. I can imagine some insane combo. Sounds like someone raged out of nowhere
Jot Bean Exactly!
That's one of the themes from Man of Steel, sort of a Superman action theme x)
+0dd Pharo no its not lol
+Felipe Lima This is when Superman starts thrashing Batman. Love it!
Ok how i picture it in my head/speculation:
1:00 Superman catches the bullet that Batman shot (where the clip ends) but it explodes and expose Superman to Kryptonite....him getting weak
1:40 Batman blocks Superman's punch. WTF moment
1:57 Batman beating the crap outta Superman
2:27 Superman regains some focus. Still weakened/de-powered but still able to stand up and fight
3:00 Superman beating Batman
3:47 Batman change of plans...luring Superman into his traps set up all over the battle area
6:07 Batman is all messed up but manages to beat Superman to the ground. Does his Dark Knight Returns style monologue
6:39 Superman somehow regains his strength and overpowers the exhausted Batman with damaged armor
7:00 Batman is all like "just kill me. Do it." Batman gets a bit "i have nothing to live for" kinda thing. Superman gives a monologue about hope and offers him help - work together to fight injustice.
+trylobyte07 SO CLOSE SO CLOSE
But that is not exactly what happens...

+trylobyte07 Closeeee, but the last part is very different, and much sadder
If Hans Zimmer is God then I want to go to his *Heaven*

2:22 I LOVE THIS MOMENT!!!
WHAT?!

1:57-2:20 being my favourite part as it's so badass and fitting for this battle

6:40 You were never a god...you were never even a man!
+Sach Harshan that's the part where I wanted to tell Batman, "fuck you, you were hiding when Zod was around and you hid from Superman until you got kryptonite on your hands" .
+Manuel Lopez Well he was not that stupid to fight with suprman without kryptonite.
+Manuel Lopez omg for god sake he was out of town that's why in bvs you see him arriving in the damn helicopter so he wasn't hiding and plus he was helping his employees find safety
3:22-3:24 That almost sounds like Godzilla for some reason.

Great movie, instant classic. The Blade Runner of our generation. Misunderstood at first, but time will grant its rightful title as a masterpiece.
The Stark Knight Returns hear hear! ✊🏼
Uh huh, sure it will bud, keep believing that. Maybe one day your delusion will become true 😂
This movie will never be great. But this movie DOES have the greatest fight scenes I have to admit... even better than the Bale series!
At one point I thought Batman was going to snap Supermans neck.
I was like like "OH SHIT, NOOOO!!!!"
Tell that to Zod's sna-never mind.
Oh the part after he smashed that sink on his head? ;D
BHarribo+ That's right. Superman would've been dead from a snapped neck before he'd have a chance to run if batman wanted to directly kill him up front and end it once it started.
Just like Superman could've burned a hole through Bruce's head with heat vision, if he wanted, or did any other number of things
91MoonKnight that pic fits so well with your comment
I'm definitely going to write to the final minute of this! And for the record, the Martha scene was unbelievably unbelievable beautiful and epic!

"Breathe Clark....You're feeling it now don't you, what the rest of us feel everyday.....you're own mortality. You're not brave..."
*Superman throws Punch. Batman stops punch*
"Men are brave"
EPIC....FIGHT....SCENE!!!!!
+The Flash still worth it even the dark knight returns fight w as short too
+Jacob R Why the fuck didn't they get yo ass to co write the fucking movie? I swear this just made that part of the movie 100% better.
+Jacob R I smell Dark Knight Returns in those lines lol.
Ps. I wonder where he will say "It's time you learn what it takes to be a man."
+Galen Marek you know it mate. DKR nailed it with the dialogue. "I want you to remember the one man that beat you"
When Batman fires the kryptonite gas and says, "Breathe it in. That's fear", it's supposed to be a symbolism of him becoming like his villains (Scarecrow). He also gets his mask torn in half to resemble Two-Face. So while your dialogue influenced by TDKR, is epic, it wouldn't quite fit the themes BVS deals with.
7:25 the music is so amazing when the scene shows Martha's death as Bruce pauses when he hears Superman say "Martha"
What an amazing fight sequence. The musical number more than stood up to the battle between Batman and Superman.
6:36
Bruce:(holding the spear) You were never a god.

7:20 You are now entering a Feel Fields. Beware Feel explosion charges are laid out on this field.
i never planned on listening to the critics. for someone who has an understanding of the basic lore in the dc universe. this movie would have been was absolutely awesome. i understand the wider audience and why they felt lost. ultimately though the critics imo were wrong. dont go in expecting ab avengers flick. that movie was successful because it was simple. heroes unite and beat up bad guys. no substance or depth to the characters. bvs had so much depth and so much going on , that you had to think..the audience had to think. thats what sets this apart from the avengers film. it wasnt simple., it wasnt a beat em up kid flick. this movie was fucking adult and the story is fucking brilliant. why? because they didnt just hand it to you..it came in plots that you put together and once you do..thats when you shit yourself
Theres no point in making movies that’s literally the exact same as the comic book and everything happens exactly as it does there. If directors did that then critics would say oh the movie is exactly as the comic book nothing unique we already knew the plot and how everything would end.
@@keptnc I think you're responding to the wrong comment. I didn't see anything that suggested that I believed they should've just copied the plot of the comics.
