Excellent video. The immense amount of cut content never ceases to amaze me. Especially when we're talking about a game that has been around for nearly 14 years.
I'm honestly pleasantly surprised by this video. I expected a few things everyone knows, "Hey, cut missions! Hey, skateboard! Hey, the whole world was a gang territory!" Instead, I got four features I legitimately didn't know about, very impressive

The Schmidt & Priss brand is a super cool detail. Things like recurring in-game brands, personalities etc really help conveying how the GTA universe is tied together.
1:40 I'll try to explain why this happens. Every character is a Ragdoll, meaning it interacts with Physics etc like real world people do thanks to bones, which are attached to the people. The Torso is the center where everything attaches to, so it gets a fixed position. When the ground now starts to shake, Carl also shakes. But since the torso is still fixed, it doesn't freak out. Imagine getting a doll which has very easy to move arms and legs and head, but the torso is nailed to the wall. Then you start shaking the wall. The stuff that is not fixed will float around, while still trying to do animations. This creates these effects. Hope I explained that well :D
The earthquake feature is actually a working thing on some SAMP servers. Everything still goes on fine but the ground shakes. I play a lot of UIF and it occasionally happens on there. I'm assuming that the safe would be obtainable in various houses during the burglary missions and in all shops, bookies, tattoo studios, barber shops and places like them.
That makes no sense at all. It's got nothing to do with a earthquake but there's a scrips that makes it randomly shake? You do know that in a lot of MTA and SAMP server, there are lots and I mean lots of cut features brought back by server developers that work much better than it does fixed on story mode after Rockstar patch them. Me, a few mates and many other people as sad as it may sound have practically dedicated out lives to the game since it's been out and I'm sure a hardcore server developer would tell you the same and would laugh at what you just said.
That's just trains around you driving. Bug in SA:MP. If you drive very fast with train, camera will start shaking. In SA:MP, just one fast train and camera will start shaking for everyone, even if you are not in train.
10:31 my guess is they are the actual triggers for bulgrary missions. Like this: - CJ enter the shop - shop owner tells him who buys from them lately and tells you to rob them - CJ brings the appliances back to the shop for a sales cut It makes A LOT more sense than Ryder's truck.
That safe cracking minigame sounds very similar to RDR's safe cracking minigame. On Rockstar remembering what they cut, a think a good example of this was them making artwork for GTA 4's cut food vendor Pings, not using it, and then ending up using it 5 years later in GTA 5.
I'm so happy to see that the community of this amazing and very old game is still digging throw his files. And seeing this game alive it makes me happy 😊.
So about that Safe Cracking feature, could it been that they re used that idea in Bully with the lock pick feature?, because the controls (atleast on the ps2) are almost identical to this safe cracking feature.
It's quite ironic how so many cut features from GTA SA are in GTA IV & GTA V. I guess the PS2 just couldn't handle that much strain, like an actual Liberty City. Also the weird earthquake physics would have made GTA SA quite ...weird lol.

The Mulholland safe house was originally completely open. No entrance marker, just walk through the door and you're inside. I'll bet the whole game was intended to be that way.

I was a designer of gta sa the way the oil was going to be used in the end of the line mission was by you shooting the gas tank later resulting in the truck exploding, we removed this because we wanted to make a more dynamic and memorable ending and death of officer tempenny

Usually many things don't get deleted and rather just stay hidden. Multiple reasons, 1. it may break the code to remove things these deleted features, 2. they may want to use it again later, 3. it may not worth the hassel to go in and select what needs deleting.
All this just tells me that this would have been one hell of a game with enough features to keep you busy for a lifetime! Great video! When will you cover the beta tattoo artworks?
And the awesome thing is with all those features cut out it is still a very enormous game with features that didn't even get brought back to the new installments of the series like fighting styles and hydraulics and an awesome modding community, greatest GTA game IMO.
I don't know if you will read this, but if you do. Wear petrol stations meant to be a game feature in beta? Because the Xoomer station at San Fierro bay has an accessible door that makes the small thud noise if you punch it. But there is nothing as far as I can find that shows they wear going to be used in game but was cut (Unless the developers used the wrong door by mistake) Also, the closes we got to a safe cracking mini game was in VCS where you use Domestobot to destroy the Mendaz brothers bonds.
For those who don't know: The only walls, doors etc. that make a small thud sound when punched are the ones which are supposed to be moved or be accsessible somehow. Now for your theory, it was most likely just a cut gas station shop interior which we could rob, nothing else

On the safe cracking subject, if you go to that horse bidding place where there's a safe, I figured it was going to be in the game files for safe cracking. More than likely they would've done like they did with bully when you broke into their locker. You'd turn the knob in the direction it said, hear the click, go the other direction, and repeat until you had all four numbers. If you go too far, the combination resets with the same numbers. That's probably how they would've done it in San Andreas
Good thing is, almost all the removed features can be restored, and that made the game alive up till now, because people are exploring the full game now, but that buffed the game to be almost 8 GB instead of 4 or 5 GB.

Furniture might make a return in GTA:Online, the penthouse decorations are a first step towards that, and the decoration preview room even has some vanishing/re-appearing furniture, imo as a hint

Gtaonline has it as well as a biker mission.
The Sly Cooper games had a similar minigame with safecraking, you'd turn the dial until the controller shakes then you'd rotate it the other way.
