The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. Dimash is singing live here, he had to postpone his tour due to covid , so he finished the tour by doing this live performance here and dropping it online. Welcome to the world of Dimash. 😄 He is currently 28 and from Kazakhastan. I didn't know anything about Kazakhastan before Dimash. I sure as hell couldn't find it on a map, lol. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. (Russia is north of Kazakhstan) His English is always improving, and he is still working on his Chinese. He sings in 13 languages. This performance was part of an online concert. He had to cancel his concert tour because of covid lockdowns. He loves performing and really missed his fans, so he tried a "Digital Show". He WAS born like this, BUT he has been in music school since he was 5 yrs old. All he has wanted to do is be on stage. Dimash's family is musically talented but they did not force him to follow this path. They stood by him and helped him in any way they could. Be prepared for a flood of info from his fans. Some are cult-like so don't be scared. 😆 He has such a following because he is as humble as he is talented. He doesn't care about fame or money. He is very grounded.

Dimash started vocal + piano school when he was 5 (also the time when his teachers noticed that he has absolute pitch). At 16 he started studying Classical (Bel Canto) at University, got a degree in that at 20, then started studying Contemporary at 20 and at 24 got a degree in that. After, he got a Master`s Degree in Composition, defending his thesis with a perfect score. He has since enrolled in doctoral studies in Musicology. He had a nice low range since he was young, and a really high range as well (frequently asked to step in when there weren`t enough girls in the choir). He kept his high range through adolescence, and also trained it with soprano arias. His Classical (Bel Canto) teacher is kazakh, he is a great teacher, and Dimash still seeks his advice till this day. Dimash`s mother is a soprano, and that might have played a part in the genetics of his capabilities, but a bigger part (in my opinion) played his freedom of thought, his desire to train and use every bit of range he can access, for a wide artistic expression. He has ~22 years of formal musical education under his belt, and still does vocal training ~ 3 hours every day. So, 10% God given talent, 90% work and passion. (interesting fact : his last name Qudaibergen literally means "Given by God" :) ) He also has a desire and sense of responsibility to make a difference with his art, and to represent his country well. He loves his country and fellow countrymen a LOT. He didn`t step on stage until he felt confident enough that he would represent his country well, or make them proud. These are elements that went into making Dimash the incredible artist that he is. As others have said, he is also humble, well grounded, has a normal life, clean, no drugs, no smoking, doesn`t get drunk, doesn`t ruin his ears` perfect pitch with club music. His fun means playing some sports with friends, swimming, getting in a car and driving around talking, bantering and catching up. He also plays some video games with his friends sometimes :) Other than that, most of his time he spends it in the studio, working on his music, rehearsing with the band, doing vocal training. Basically, living and breathing music. He`s also very respectful towards his elders, his parents, his teachers, and is kind and warm to any person that he interacts with. Dimash is not a mere vocalist, but a true artist who sings in the service of the song first and foremost, and not to show off his insane vocal abilities. (Amanat, Okay, Qairan Elim, Qaragym Ai, Give Me Love…) In short, he’s not only a masterful vocalist, but also an amazing storyteller and an incredible performer. Above all, he’s a soulful, genuine, passionate, and humble artist. As I hear it, Dimash is from Kazakhstan and his mother was a professional opera singer. So by age 3, 4, & 5, he was mimicking his mother's singing and developing this range. Then 15 - 20 years later he went to university and studied voice, getting two degrees in voice and vocal performance. Dimash has sung in over 12 languages, he has international promoters so there is no money left for an American promoter.... I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. Dimash is singing live here, he had to postpone his tour due to covid , so he finished the tour by doing this live performance here and dropping it online. His concerts are normally about 3 to 4 hours long, he only stops to change his outfit. Welcome to the world of Dimash. 😄 He is currently 28 and from Kazakhastan. I didn't know anything about Kazakhastan before Dimash. I sure as hell couldn't find it on a map, lol. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. (Russia is north of Kazakhstan) His English is always improving, and he is still working on his Chinese. He sings in 13 languages.
This performance was part of an online concert. He had to cancel his concert tour because of covid lockdowns. He loves performing and really missed his fans, so he tried a "Digital Show".
He WAS born like this, BUT he has been in music school since he was 5 yrs old. All he has wanted to do is be on stage. Dimash's family is musically talented but they did not force him to follow this path. They stood by him and helped him in any way they could.
Be prepared for a flood of info from his fans. Some are cult-like so don't be scared. 😆 He has such a following because he is as humble as he is talented. He doesn't care about fame or money. He is very grounded.

He does a lot of charity work and always takes time to get in contact with his fans. He is never praising himself and is doing all his hard work not for fame or money but to make his listeners enjoy music 😉.
Dimash started vocal + piano school when he was 5 (also the time when his teachers noticed that he has absolute pitch). At 16 he started studying Classical (Bel Canto) at University, got a degree in that at 20, then started studying Contemporary at 20 and at 24 got a degree in that. After, he got a Master`s Degree in Composition, defending his thesis with a perfect score. He has since enrolled in doctoral studies in Musicology. He had a nice low range since he was young, and a really high range as well (frequently asked to step in when there weren`t enough girls in the choir). He kept his high range through adolescence, and also trained it with soprano arias. His Classical (Bel Canto) teacher is kazakh, he is a great teacher, and Dimash still seeks his advice till this day. Dimash`s mother is a soprano, and that might have played a part in the genetics of his capabilities, but a bigger part (in my opinion) played his freedom of thought, his desire to train and use every bit of range he can access, for a wide artistic expression. He has ~22 years of formal musical education under his belt, and still does vocal training ~ 3 hours every day.
So, 10% God given talent, 90% work and passion. (interesting fact : his last name Qudaibergen literally means "Given by God" :) )
He also has a desire and sense of responsibility to make a difference with his art, and to represent his country well. He loves his country and fellow countrymen a LOT. He didn`t step on stage until he felt confident enough that he would represent his country well, or make them proud.
These are elements that went into making Dimash the incredible artist that he is.
As others have said, he is also humble, well grounded, has a normal life, clean, no drugs, no smoking, doesn`t get drunk, doesn`t ruin his ears` perfect pitch with club music. His fun means playing some sports with friends, swimming, getting in a car and driving around talking, bantering and catching up. He also plays some video games with his friends sometimes :) Other than that, most of his time he spends it in the studio, working on his music, rehearsing with the band, doing vocal training. Basically, living and breathing music.
He`s also very respectful towards his elders, his parents, his teachers, and is kind and warm to any person that he interacts with.

Dimash has a vocal range of over 6 octaves, which is quite impressive; but that’s not what defines him. He sounds exquisite at any range, which is incredible in and of itself. Besides, his voice has so many colors and tone to it, not mentioning his vocal dynamics. His voice is soaring only to express his intense emotions, whether it’s a cry for help (like here in SOS), a yearning, or to express pain or loss. Dimash, being a composer himself (“Unforgettable Day”- Ұмытылмас күн, available on his RUclips channel) knows exactly how the song he interprets must be delivered. Dimash is not a mere vocalist, but a true artist who sings in the service of the song first and foremost, and not to show off his insane vocal abilities. (Amanat, Okay, Qairan Elim, Qaragym Ai, Give Me Love…)
In short, he’s not only a masterful vocalist, but also an amazing storyteller and an incredible performer. Above all, he’s a soulful, genuine, passionate, and humble artist.
What I precisely love about Dimash is the way he fully immerses himself in the songs he interprets, the mark of a genuine, passionate artist. Truth be told, his voice is even more impressive live in person. Dimash certainly deserves to be a household name. But I think it’s just a matter of time. After all, he’s an Independent Artist from Central Asia, which is the main reason why it’s more difficult to break through the US/Western music industry, especially when there’s no big label behind you to promote you worldwide like the lesser talented artists out there. But at least, he has complete creative freedom: as a genuine, passionate artist, he will never settle for less, which is how it should be.
Also, his repertoire is not “mainstream” enough, but that’s exactly why I love his music! His trademark is to blend so many different styles and techniques in one song that it’s not for everyone. But that is precisely why he’s so unique and such a musical genius!

Dimash Qudaibergen was born on May 24, 1994, in Aktobe, Kazakhstan into musical royalty. Height: 1.91m; 6' 3'.
Dimash is a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, actor, video director, scriptwriter and entrepreneur who received the title of Honored Music Artist of Kazakhstan and many other awards around the world.
Dimash Qudaibergen was very fortunate to be born into musical 'royalty'. The grandfather was a professional dombra player, his grandmother was a teacher and sang. In his childhood Dimash trained Taekwondo. Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of Dimash! He a 28 year old from Kazakhstan who has been studying music since he was 5 years old. He was born with the best set of vocal cords available and has spent his life working to perfect the gift God gave him. He sings in over 12 languages and speaks Kazakh, Russian and quite a bit of English. He sings in most genres so you never know what sort of song you will get next, but they are all great! As I hear it, Dimash is from Kazakhstan and his mother was a professional opera singer. So by age 3, 4, & 5, he was mimicking his mother's singing and developing this range. Then 15 - 20 years later he went to university and studied voice, getting two degrees in voice and vocal performance. Dimash has sung in over 12 languages, he has international promoters so there is no money left for an American promoter.... So that's part of the reason you never heard of him, it's the same reason you'll hear the name of the quarterback who wins the superbowl, but you will not hear nearly as much of the name of the goalie who wins the world cup -- which is 100 times of a bigger deal in the world.

O, nice that you found him 🙂. Dimash is Kazakh, but the song is French, originally from an old rock opera. This performance is from digital concert from last February (or January?) Since he had to stop his tour in beginning of 2019 and all lock downs he made this Digital Show. We was really grateful to hear him again, but it still can’t compare with live concerts 😊🙂
