  • We tried to sink a Storm Cat! Check out Excel's Storm Cat series, one of the safest aluminum boats hands down. Just another reason why a Storm Cat is the boat to own! Jeremy Coe and Zach Taylor from Huntley Marine fill a Storm Cat 230 with water to the brim, to test its safety flotation.
    Don't try this at home.

My dad is looking to buy a stormcat, which is why we’re watching these videos. He always wants the max allowed hp. I see on the site they say 250. Why do you have a 300 on here?

Carolina skiff claims that their foam ‘cannot absorb water’ too, yet there is boatloads (pun intended) of proof that this claim is false. How does your foam differ?

The closed cell foam is semi-impermeable and is the least absorbent foam. Several failures would have to take place over a lifetime of the boat for the foam to fill with water. If you are in the market, I advise not letting this deter your decision.
