Great vid! Thanks. Just did mine. You gave me confidence to do it. A couple notes for future DIYers that helped me: 1. The red button on the wiring harness is on the BOTTOM, not the top. As stated, you can’t see it and have to do this part by feel. I spent several hours and many frustrating attempts trying to unclip it thinking it was on the top of the connector. 2. Removing the brace(bar) that extends from the radiator to the fender helps with access. Just 2 bolts. 3. The old bow tie can be popped off in one piece with a trim tool or flathead screwdriver. Just get behind one of the corners, wedge in the tool and you can pop the whole thing off without drilling. You guys can do it too!! Be patient. Getting that damn wiring harness off is BY FAR the most frustrating and time consuming part, but u can do it!

On mine it only comes on at night when the headlights come on. During the day I just have the running lights and it doesn’t come on with the running lights. I hear ya that it should be brighter, it’s still cool but kind of subtle. I think somewhere they sell ones that glow different colors, I saw a red one once, that would be more pronounced, not sure where to buy those though.

Is there a way I can turn the lights on? I have a yukon Denali with the puddle lights, but they do not turn on
On the Tahoe, the puddle lights only come on at night and only when you unlock the doors with key fob, if they are not coming in for you then you probably need to check the settings, look for something like ‘approach lighting’ when unlock

Does the glowtie only come on when the headlights are on? Or is it on all the time (when the day time running lights are on)?
On mine it’s only when headlights are on not the day run lights. It also glows at night when you unlock the vehicle

Well, it was a pain in the butt, lol. But if you’re handy and have some time and small enough hands, it’s not too bad, just hope it doesn’t mess with the warranty since I did it myself…some things to think about. Also it seemed like it was cheaper if you buy the light from dealership website and check the install button right after, because when I called them after purchasing already, they gave me a higher price
